How do you "know"?

With DC1 we got pregnant on honeymoon and I just "knew" I was pregnant before I took the test.

DH and I have been casually trying for DC2 for a couple of months. Trying not to POAS as it is TOO soon (period due on Monday) but I am having that I just "know" I am pregnant feeling again.

I can't sleep, have a hideous taste in my mouth, am off meat (which happened last time) and could not drink a glass of wine last night. Given my love of meat and wine if I am not pregnant I must be seriously ill .

Trying to resist the urge to POAS so wanted to hear anyone else's "I just knew stories" to distract me .

With my first, my breasts got super sensitive and tender before my period was due, and I also went off alcohol. Which was gutting, as we were on a booze cruise at the time!!

I POAS four days before my period was due because I just knew. No obvious symptoms, but a few strange ones like more frequent bowel movements and constantly being cold! - but I just had a feeling, so much so that I wasn't at all nervous POAS like I have been before. I was right - and 20wks later here I am!

I was PO sticks from as early as 7dpo. I was sometimes testing twice, even three times a day with internet cheapies. I was obsessed. I got BFN after BFN but couldn't stop myself because something inside me just knew I was - I can't explain it. I knew one of the tests was going to come up positive at one point hence why I never felt disheartened and why I tested so much.

Implantation cramps. About a week before AF was due. I'd had an endometrial scratch to help implantation and the implantation cramps were very strong - they woke me up.

I didn't have any symptoms, I just knew. My cycles are irregular so I never tested before CD33, but this time I tested on CD28 and when there was no line initially - it was exceedingly slow to develop (crap Tesco test) - I was genuinely shocked, and a bit outraged.

DH knows when I'm pregnant (4th time now!) because I start complaining about his bad breath or that something smells funny in the fridge etc. I have a crap sense of smell except when pregnant.

After all of these early BFPs I might have to test tonight

Everton my DH is convinced I am pregnant due to the weird taste and going off red wine.

My gums start bleeding when I brush my teeth and I can't park the car as spatial awareness goes right from conception. Hence a call to DH once ' hi DH I've just crashed into the gatepost' him ' okay I'll get a test on the way home from work'. Three children and three insurance claims for the car.

I totally knew too. I just did!
I had the weird taste also, and like RaRa, i was freezing cold- despite being in Dubai at the time, where it was v v warm.. and normally pre AF i'd get quite hot-flushy.
I also had this feeling of euphoria that i knew wasnt normal PMT!!

I got period pains - but I never get them before period, only during.

See, these DHs are as attuned to us as we are! They just know, too :)

Andi i was the same.... my boobs hurt and i went off booze (while on my hen doo)

I used one of those clearblue tests which tell you how far you are & i was 2-3 weeks lol

I went off tea and didn't have period pain. I also just 'knew', no idea how really. I wasn't expecting it as I was about to start ivf!

Babs Omg! So glad to hear someone else's parking skills went out the window! Seriously. I have so many scrapes on my car now (all inflicted from my own drive wall, thankfully).

First pg my boobs leaked

Second pg, I had no indication whatsoever, I just tested and got a surprise.

I'm afraid I didn't know at all. The first time I kind of knew because I was such an optimist and knew we hadn't been careful. But there were no symptoms bar an implsntation bleed before my period was due.

I'm now 5 weeks pregnant. Again no symptoms at all, still no symptoms. If I hadn't been trying I wouldn't know at all.

I don't know how I knew with dc1 but I just had a feeling and made dh get up at 5am with me to do a test.

However I also "knew" on several other occasions when it turned out I was wrong. Turns out PMS and early pg are cruelly similar.

And with dc3 I didn't find out til I was 8 wks. So my pregdar is not so hot all round really!

Another one here who peed on stick after stick. I messed up my dates so was testing way too early, but still 'just knew'. Got 9 bfns before the bfp!

This was 2nd pregnancy. Also knew with dc1, but wasn't quite as sure.

Trying to resist the urge as I thought it would be too early to test accurately! If I am wrong, Boots here I come

Superdrug early tests are cheap (ish) and only require a small amount of HCG

Thanks Amo - I think I will need to swing by a superdrug on the way home from work.

I knew as soon as we dtd, I went to the toilet after and instinct said your pregnant!
