Hi all again. I posted this morning about having a bit of a bloody show, (I'm 38+3) and since then, and rather a hectic day later, I have lost my mucus plug.. Does this mean labour is around the corner??? I do hope so!

(I do not want any tales of mucus plugs being lost and then having to be induced at 42 weeks Grin)

sorry don't know what happened there.

Well, I'm home in bed. Baby Oliver Michael is downstairs with daddy while I get some shut eye.

I went in to the labour ward at about 8 this morning with my mum, whilst dp sorted ds out and took him to his gps. Dp then had to come home and take dog for a walk and pop to morrisons.

While all this was going on my contractions were getting rather painful after being regular for about an hour. Midwife ran me a bath and in I jumped with my mum sitting on a stool. Midwife left and said to pull the cord if we needed her. I was probably in the bath 5 minutes before I felt the need to push... Grin Que my mum running round like a headless chicken getting the midwife. They heaved me out of the bath and I started pathetically begging for paracetamol and panicking that it was way to intense. Mum called dp to find out where he was, and 2 minutes later he strolled in with magazines and treats expecting me drinking tea and eating toast Grin

He got to the labour room with 10 minutes to spare as baby arrived at 8:43 weighing a tiny 6lb 9oz. I was in active labour for a grand total of 28 minutes and I pushed for 3! I was home by 4 this afternoon!

Exhausted now though! Thank you all for your well wishes Smile

I didn't get any sleep. He doesn't like being put down at all. It'll be fine though (she hopes Grin)

DS1 will be on his way home from his GPs in the next hour to meet his baby brother. I cannot wait to see his little face Smile

I'm 34 weeks and just lost my mucus plug. This is my second baby. I didn't lose my mucus plug with first one or have a show. Reading all these story's gets me excited but nervous at same time as he could come anytime by the sounds of it. Any advice?
