Scared and exhausted, please hold my hand for scan today

Had an early scan at 6 weeks following a bleed, showed 2 large ovarian cysts but baby was ok and bleeding stopped after few days.
I then had a massive bleed at 12 weeks and family called 999 so I was taken to A&E in ambulance, we thought it was the end. It felt like a miracle the next day when we saw a perfectly heathly baby on the scan, we cried lots!
The reason they gave for the bleed was a 'large anterior subchorionic heamatoma'.
Following that I've had bleeding on and off for nearly 3 weeks varying from light period type bleeding to spotting. It was easing off until I had another big bleed New Year's Day/yesterday so back to A&E yesterday and have another scan booked today.
It's such a roller coaster of emotions, I'm still bleeding a bit and haven't been able to sleep. Also feeling/being sick more than usual.
Please hold my hand for the scan today, (11am) I'm trying to stay positive but terrified they are going to give us bad news.

Just wanted to say I have gone through the same thing with this pregnancy, I am now 16+2 I had a large bleed with the biggest clot the size of my palm at 11+6 and was sure that was it! I think I whaled when at the scan baby was ok. I bled on and off for over 3 weeks (only completely stopping this week gone) living in a state of fear the whole time - which I know won't really end until the baby is born :(. But I still have a healthy little bud inside who is now moving around :) Bleeding does not mean the end and the hematoma is better out than in. Good luck today I do hope all goes well for you xx

All the best. I had lots of bleeding including overnight stay in hospital when pregnant with ds. He is 5 now but I still remember how terrifying it was x

Good luck OP. I had one of these with DS1 (now 4 and currently creating chaos around me). After it bled out I then had further unexplained bleeding on and off through the pregnancy. I think I had 9 or 10 scans in the end. V worrying but on each one there was DS1 sucking his thumb or something, no idea of the worry he was causing! It is v scary but hopefully it will just be a blip. Will be thinking of you today.

I had this for the first trimester of my pregnancy with DD. The docs explained it as a bit like when you have a cut on your knee, it scabs over then sometimes the scab comes off and it bleeds a bit more. It is incredibly scary though. There are additional support midwives available on the NHS for you to talk things through - I found it really helpful. Just ask your community midwife to refer you.

I had this in my first pregnancy (and to a lesser extent in my second), bled at 6 weeks, huuuge bleed at 11+5 and kept bleeding on and off until 19 weeks. Said pregnancy is now 14 year old DS. Good luck I know how you feel (second pregnancy is now 10 yo DS)xx

Thank you all for all of your kind words and advice, it means a lot. DH came with me so we were both nervous together, so relieved to say all is fine.
Thank god the baby is ok. Healthy and wiggling about happily. The bleeding is still coming from the original area of haemorrhage which although is inside my uterus it is not connected to the baby in any way. Not much they can do about the bleeding, it will either reabsorb or I'll continue to bleed. Another scan in 4 weeks to follow up.
