Had an early scan at 6 weeks following a bleed, showed 2 large ovarian cysts but baby was ok and bleeding stopped after few days.
I then had a massive bleed at 12 weeks and family called 999 so I was taken to A&E in ambulance, we thought it was the end. It felt like a miracle the next day when we saw a perfectly heathly baby on the scan, we cried lots!
The reason they gave for the bleed was a 'large anterior subchorionic heamatoma'.
Following that I've had bleeding on and off for nearly 3 weeks varying from light period type bleeding to spotting. It was easing off until I had another big bleed New Year's Day/yesterday so back to A&E yesterday and have another scan booked today.
It's such a roller coaster of emotions, I'm still bleeding a bit and haven't been able to sleep. Also feeling/being sick more than usual.
Please hold my hand for the scan today, (11am) I'm trying to stay positive but terrified they are going to give us bad news.

Great news, hope you can relax a bit now :)

stillenacht · 03/01/2014 12:25

Great newsSmile Your pregnancy sounds a lot like both of mine- in both cases bleeding stopped around 20 weeks. I had to keep having Anti D injections too (as rhesus negative). Hope yours settles v soon xxx

Great news! Smile
Sounds like your baby is a real fighter, you'll have to think of a suitable name for such a strong one!!

Thank you everyone
stillenach I hope my bleeding also stops soon (just over 15 weeks now)
rainbowfeet I think you are right, this baby has so far survived 3 massive bleeds not to mention all the other little ones, must be one tough cookie, I just want the weeks to go quicker now and have our baby in my arms.

Great news. In a few weeks you'll be able to feel movement and hopefully that will help to reassure you.

So pleased you had a successful scan.

AlwaysDancing1234 · 03/01/2014 13:31

impatiently I'm convinced I have felt a few tiny flutters the last few days (I'm just over 15 weeks so might be wishful thinking). Can't wait til I feel bigger movements (may not be saying that when I'm being kicked in the ribs though I suppose!)
To say we are relieved doesn't cover how happy we were to see our little baby wiggling about on the screen. It's going to be a long wait til next scan.
Thanks again for all the support x

So pleased for you op that's fab news! Smile Xx

Thanks runawaybride I don't think I will be able to relax much but at least the bleeding is easing off. I had it easy with DC1 so this has all been such a shock. Only 24 weeks to go until we have our baby and I can start a whole other lot of worrying!
