Morning ladies Smile

First of all big apologies for TMI Blush but wondered if anyone can shed any light on this for me?

I'm 39+6 today so obviously due tomorrow and this is dc1 - hence I know nothing lol.

I'm up sat in bed and have been for about 30 mins.

A couple of mins ago I felt a small trickle of fluid - thought it was discharge at first but it doesn't have the creamy colour discharge has and felt much thinner. Made a small wet patch on the sheet (sorry!!)

Def wasn't wee.

I've put a pad on and am sat in bed again so intend to see what happens and may ring the unit later

Any thoughts/advice? X

If you get up and move around a bit then you will know - if it's waters then more will probably trickle out as you're moving about. If it is, then I think you need to go in so they can check you then you will probably be sent back home.
Good luck!

And how lovely that your DH is at home Smile

If you lie down for half an hour, if it's waters it should gush when you stand up.

Call the maternity unit. And keep your pad - they may want to sniff it. I know - yuck!

Good luck! Hope this is it for you.

PumpkinPie2013 · 25/11/2013 09:20

Thanks ladies Smile

When I stood up again there was lots more so rang up and they said probably waters so keep pads and keep a pad on - have breakfast etc. And ring in an hour.

Still trickling now and much more when I move.

Eeeeek! So exciting! Will update in a bit x

Back home now Smile

Just had a shower as felt a bit yuck after losing so much water.

Getting lots of low backache and low aches at the front.

Currently bouncing on my ball drinking minty hot chocolate lol Smile

Planning to keep mobile and busy so time passes and hopefully things progress!

Just can't believe it's all started the day before my due date - I was convinced I'd go over! X

Get some sleep if you can. I overdid the keeping mobile bit and was pretty shattered by the time it all got going. Waters broke at 5.30am, in full active labour by 10pm. I spent the day running around "getting organised" expecting it all to be over within 12 hours.
Charge your phones, run an extension cord into the bathroom so you have some soft light/music/phone / ipad connectivity.
Buy some paracetamol - you'll be told to take some when you call to say it's all getting a bit hurty - they'll tell you to take two and get in the bath.
Don't eat a curry - you'll just stress about it later Grin
