Morning ladies Smile

First of all big apologies for TMI Blush but wondered if anyone can shed any light on this for me?

I'm 39+6 today so obviously due tomorrow and this is dc1 - hence I know nothing lol.

I'm up sat in bed and have been for about 30 mins.

A couple of mins ago I felt a small trickle of fluid - thought it was discharge at first but it doesn't have the creamy colour discharge has and felt much thinner. Made a small wet patch on the sheet (sorry!!)

Def wasn't wee.

I've put a pad on and am sat in bed again so intend to see what happens and may ring the unit later

Any thoughts/advice? X

Love a labour thread! Reminds us all that there is light at the sickness, back ache, pelvic pain etc filled tunnel Wink

Good luck OP!

Getting quite painful contractions now eek! Had them through the afternoon but started timing at 17.28pm just to get a rough idea.

So far I've had;

17.28 20s

17.36 58s (longest one!)

17.48 30s

17.55 40s

18.02 30s

18.07 45s

So not exactly regular yet and not lasting a full minute (mw said ring when the are around 3 mins apart and last a minute) but hopefully getting there!

Trying to just relax now to conserve energy.

Had a bath which was nice Smile

Ah yay! Sounds like it's going really well Smile

How are you getting on now, or are you too far in the throes of labour to update Grin

PumpkinPie2013 · 25/11/2013 20:59

In bed now attempting to rest.

Contractions seem to be getting stronger and a bit more regular which is good.

Lots of lower back ache in between as well.

Hoping relaxing in my nice comfy bed will help increase the oxytocin and move things along.

DH put clean bedding on as well which I love because I'm a bit strange like that

Will post back when possible x

Good Luck. Hope you get your snuggly new born soon :)

lauren6283 · 26/11/2013 12:10

This happened to me they only went a little bit so hospital sent me home. Then when I went back they said they hadn't gone, as there was still fluid around the baby. Then when I went back again, they said they had gone, but not fully, and had to put me on a drip and break the rest for me.
So if they do send you home again because they think they haven't gone, stand your ground! And best of luck! Just remember, it really is worth it I promise!

Any update? Hopefully you're busy cuddling up to your newborn Smile x
