baby is also transverae and im leaking amniotic fluid and baby hardly has any as it is.

in utter shock as i only came for growth scan as midwife was suspicious of size at 28wk app.

:'( big sigh

Really good luck for today, thinking of you x

Babies do survive at 24 wks -my old work colleague's sister had her baby at just 24 and he is absolutely fine -and that was 12 years ago -and survival rates etc have improved even more since...
If it is a problem with the placenta - make sure they check it for clots and you get checked for Anti-phospholipid /Hughes syndrome...all though becoming more well known about still worth making absolutely sure they do ...especially for any future pregnancies...
Good Luck ThanksThanks -thinking of you today

One of my friends at school was born at 24 weeks. She's now 25 & perfectly healthy.

Fx everything will go smoothly today & over the next few weeks etc & you'll be able to bring your new baby home as soon as possible!

SpottedDickandCustard · 22/10/2013 15:11

Good luck, wishing you all the best.

NICUs are amazing places, they take the very best care of babies (DS2 was in there for a while). There were lots of very very prem babies in with DS2 and lots of happy outcomes.

Fingers crossed for you and baby xxxx

DaleyBump · 22/10/2013 15:16

Best of luck OP, thinking of you Flowers

Boysrstupid · 22/10/2013 15:18

My 29 weeker measuring 24 weeks has just walked in from school. He's almost ten and whilst it was touch and go for a while - nothing prepares you for the roller coaster of a NICU stay - they are truly wondrous places filled with mini miracles.

Good luck op for you and your baby. Wishing you both the very best of health.

Just checking to see how you're doing. Hope today is going as well as it can be and you are being reassured and supported. Thinking of you and your little one, wishing you both well. It is so lovely to read of all the children who once were so tiny. Take care. Xx
