Boddddddd! Congratulations! A lovely name and such a good weight.

Have I missed any other thread babies? Just Bod and Pentagon for this little spurt?

Things I have learnt in the first ten weeks (can you believe it's been ten weeks?!)...
The Wonder Weeks app keeps me sane through growth spurts (best £1.49 ever spent)
Aldi nappies are just as good as Pampers and half the price
Bath time is calmer if the water is a bit warmer and deeper, the lights are dim and baby bellies are full(ish) before they go in
The Sleepy Sounds app (free) is better than Ewan the Sheep (£30) as you can set the white noise to go on indefinitely rather than 20 minutes
Don't expect your baby to play with/tolerate bouncers/mats/pram toys etc until they're 8+ weeks despite your best intentions (and the cost of them)
You can never have too many bottles/dummies/muslins/bibs/vests

Bodicea · 08/11/2013 21:07

Thanks everyone for all your well wishes . Just off for a little snooze before night time fun starts.
Pentagon have you had yours ? Am confused did I miss it?

Tomkat79 · 08/11/2013 21:49

Lovely news bod...huge congratulations xx

LuckySocks13 · 08/11/2013 22:21

Fab tips Anda :) thank you

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 09/11/2013 00:04

hey anda!! great to hear from you! hope your little lovelies are well, how the heck are they 10 weeks already! crikey time really does fly! and thanks for the awesome tips, those apps sound great, i'll definitely download them! xx

and yes bod, pentagon had her little baby too! there's going to be a right flurry of babies in the next couple of weeks - it's so exciting!! (mine being one of them eek!)

Pentagon · 09/11/2013 00:18

bod I gave birth on 23/10 (5 days early) and I'm sure you congratulated me; but you've just had your baby, I don't expect you to remember this!

anda good to hear from you and thanks for the great tips!

So bump, shell, ibip, Janie, garden and lucky are next in line! I can't wait for all the announcements! Grin

IBelieveInPink · 09/11/2013 05:13

Hey diet! So nice to hear from the other side! Thanks for the tips, taking all suggestions on board.
So, 39 weeks today. And oh my goodness it just got hard. I still feel the guilt for moaning, (had a little cry earlier because I felt bad for saying its hard when I should just be grateful) but it is hard! I think it's the lack of proper sleep - although I know that's only going to get worse :)
Ah well, hopefully not too much longer to wait.

andadietcoke · 09/11/2013 07:18

ibip it's okay to say it's hard. It really is, especially at the end. I think 'we' have more of a tendency so put a brave face on than most - I know I promised myself that if I had a successful pregnancy I wouldn't complain. I didn't, but people need to know you're suffering a bit to help you.

Hopefully it won't be long, and all this will be a distant memory. The indigestion, the carpal tunnel, all of it - it will disappear instantly.

I think of you so often. You've done so well, and been through so much, and you're about to get your happy ending, and all the worrying will have been worth it. We're so going to have to have a grads thread soon Grin

IBelieveInPink · 09/11/2013 08:40

Thanks diet. You always come to my rescue when I'm having a bad day! It's strange - I still get so scared about the birth bit I almost don't want it to be over, but as same time do, because I want her here safe! Like you say, hopefully soon will be a distant memory then knowing me I will miss it!
Might trot myself off to Aldi today to treat myself to some better than pampers nappies! :)

Lieslvontrapp · 09/11/2013 08:49

Thought I'd update the stats.

Lovely tips anda!

Happy due date bump! Hopefully not longer to wait!

cosmickitten · 09/11/2013 09:00

bod congratulations on arrival of little baby James.

Bodicea · 09/11/2013 09:08

Sorry pentagon, total baby brain. Elsie is such a cute name by the way.
Pink I feel your pain, I was a total winge bag at the end / think I cried most nights - but your little bundle will be here soon and will all have been worth it.

GardenWorm · 09/11/2013 09:50

Hey Pink chin up, I just spent an hour on the sofa feeling soooo tired and I only got up at 7! Not long now ducky xxxx

BumpKitty · 09/11/2013 13:12

Not a sausage - I didn't really like the 9/11 date anyway! ( I realise I may have some sort of numbers/date issues!). I'm totally with you ibip it is getting bloody hard, I can't wait to be able to get up off the couch or turn over in bed without it being a 10 point manoeuvre!

Now, no-one tell DH, as I'm very likely to change my mind, but I'm thinking of trying the sex method of evacuation Grin this is a very desperate measure given how whale like I feel!

Hope you're all having a good weekend

GardenWorm · 09/11/2013 14:20

Bump I was thinking how my DH would be hoping for that method of evac but I'm still not tempted, I find baby moving mid deed really off putting! Never say never though Grin

shellsocks · 09/11/2013 14:35

James is a lovely name bod congrats again Smile

Happy due date bump Grin

Nice to hear from you anda Smile I'm firmly in the moaning camp now!

Had diarrhoea since Monday, throwing up at least once daily but feeling sick constantly Hmm PGP still really bad and lots of period pains/BH which go nowhere Angry Got a sweep on Monday (39+6) and will be devastated if cervix is still high etc, I am not coping very well emotionally with these ailments at all ConfusedHmm

LuckySocks13 · 09/11/2013 14:49

Big hug for you she'll (((()))))
Happy due date bump :) not long now!

I'm funding being constantly on the go after a 3 year old hard going now. Really could do with a rest and feet up in the day but no chance! 38 weeks today! Hubby even working all weekend :( boo

ChristineDaae · 09/11/2013 15:40

Aw bump happy due date. Hope baby doesn't keep you waiting too much longer. Smile
I'm shattered today, wish I had a personal slave just to get my kindle from upstairs and make me a coffee!

GuffSmuggler · 09/11/2013 16:35

Oh shell poor you, you are allowed to moan. I had sickness and diarrhoea for one day and am only 23 weeks and it nearly finished me off. Here's hoping it's just one long massive clear out for a sneeze birth.

Lucky my DS will be 3 when I'm at your stage, I can't imagine how I'm going to cope!! There's no such thing as maternity leave with a toddler is there!?

BlackholesAndRevelations · 09/11/2013 17:13

Oh shell you poor thing Sad is it the return of the morning sickness/clearing out poops rather than a bug, do you think? It seems a very long time to have a bug. Hope you're not getting dehydrated. Have you spoken to yur midwife? Xxx

Bump- good luck! Grin I am kind of dreading being full term with my two terrors angels to run around after... Will be trying every trick in the book to get this one shifted!!

GardenWorm · 09/11/2013 17:30

Shell what has the midwife said? 6 days is a long time to be having diarrhoea full stop. If you havent spoken to the midwife or Drs in the last few days I think I'd be tempted to ring the hospital/maternity ward for some advice. As Blackholes mentioned you don't want to get dehydrated. It sounds like hell for you, especially with the little one as well, I hope your family and friends have been able to help?

shellsocks · 09/11/2013 19:01

Don't be so nice all of you, you are making me cry!

I thought it was a pre labour clear out so hadn't rang MW but maybe should now I just dunno anymore, I'm so down about it and totally TMI but I don't wanna tell anyone in RL (except DH) but the effect it's had on the piles is really upsetting me too...I'm so embarrassed that I could go into labour while having them and worried abt what the pressure of labour will do to them afterwards ConfusedSad

It really has been one thing after another this pregnancy and I hope I don't offend/upset anyone when I say I just can't wait for it it be over...I'm not myself at all, crying etc. all the time and not able to care for DS properly Sad

On the positive I haven't been worrying abt the labour/birth so much these last few days! Smile

Thanks everyone xxx
