So lovely to read the good scan news yesterday and today. Congrats Baking. So glad all is good.

Congratulations on the new BFPs. Hope you all have trouble free pregnancies.

Me hope you got through your day ok. My MS used to hit about 3am, really tiring but luckily mine wasn't bad. Sounds tough for you. I took a bowl of popcorn to bed every night. Really helped to nibble during night.

cbeebies its a really stressful time waiting for the 12 week scan. Hope you are resting tonight, sending you my best wishes for tomorrow. x

I used a Migraine Kool 'n Soothe tonight for a headache and it was fantastic. Highly recommended.

Thanks for reassurance re stabby pains. After 2 days of really regular pains they've stopped. A friend quite randomly treated DS and I to lunch midweek, perfect distraction.

Emki hope all is well. x

andadietcoke · 01/11/2013 03:07

Yay tins! I second what bod said. A registrar scanned me at 37 weeks and told me twin 2 was cephalic, after being breech a week previously. It completely freaked me out because it meant I looked for movements in the wrong places for a week and kept going in for reduced movement. Scan the day before my ELCS (because of reduced movement) found she was exactly how she was at 36w. Argh.

Hope everyone is well. Can't wait for more babies and we can get a grads thread set up. So happy to be able to do that!

livingzuid · 01/11/2013 05:54

Hello again everyone Thank you for the welcome :). 9w 3days now and really done with MS on the one hand but pleased it's still around on the other because it means Something is happening! It strikes at any time for me although defo worse in the am. Had a rage at DH at 5am who was supposed to be sorting out next hospital appts/midwife (all in dutch) and he blithely said he had loads of missed calls this week but hadnt phoned back??? That situation should be reversed today! What is it with men sometimes.

I ate my first vegetable in a month and kept it down Yay. The backache continues but I am now pretty sure it is to do with driving and being at a desk. DH has some uses and gave me a nice lower back rub which really helped. Really trying not to freak out over every twinge and throb but it is hard!

Hmm apart from having now got a cold not much else to report. I have a job interview today and am braving Dutch maternity bras at the weekend. My boobs are insanely big although not as sore any more phew. Thank god for the weekend I don't know how women get through this. Should have a scan sometime next week. Best go visit the bathroom again now sigh....

livingzuid · 01/11/2013 06:04

Oh and Ty for the advice and reassurances :) I have one bra left that doesn't make me erm bust out so to speak but leaves me feeling so sore at the end of the day. I wanted to wait until I knew all was OK (silly of me but I don't like tempting fate) but I've caved! I will maybe get a nice couple of m and s bras when I am home for Xmas.

Good point on the yoga. I just feel so generally unhealthy I wanted to try and redress the balance somewhat but there is no rush I guess.

ChristineDaae · 01/11/2013 07:32

Nice to see you Bod, how much longer do you have left?
Anda - how are your gorgeous squishy girls doing?!

Chocolateteabag · 01/11/2013 07:38

Morning all - first day of ML here and looks like I have DS's cold typical!

Great scan news tins - but a bit Hmm at the scanner!

Cbeebies good luck today, but don't worry about bringing down the thread with worries - it's what it's here for after all. If you are starting to feel depressed in RL hope you have people in RL to speak to?

Living - what bra size are you now? As I found M&S ok up to 32F/G but beyond that I've had to order in. You could maybe get an order delivered for when you get home, try on and then chuck back. Most do free del and returns over a certain order value (which doesn't take much to reach). So you can get a few sizes to try on credit card. Might be a faff to sort out to time with being back in uk but would then save a shopping trip at Christmas hopefully? As well as Figleaves and Bravissimo, I've used bras and honey who you can get cash back on from Quidco or Topcashback too (bargain hunter here!)

cosmickitten · 01/11/2013 07:59

I hope it's ok to start posting under these circumstances. I really could do with a virtual hand to hold. I'm currently 10 weeks 3 days pregnant after a missed misscarriage at 10 weeks 5 days in June.

Last night I had a heavy discharge of brown blood. This morning it's still there but a little less. Feeling very very scared :-(

ChristineDaae · 01/11/2013 08:08

Hi Cosmic. Firstly congrats on your BFP.
I'm pretty sure brown blood is a 'not too bad' sign, and a lot of us on here have a had a bleed at some stage and we're still here so don't give up hope. Do you have an EPU near you that you could contact?

cosmickitten · 01/11/2013 08:13

Hi Christinedaae we do have epu but you need a gp referral. Waiting for my surgery to call back and let know if I can see GP today.

Old blood being less bad is helping me feel a tad calmer. But I can't help but fear the worse :-(

Thank you for responding it helps to feel less alone x

Tomkat79 · 01/11/2013 08:43

Hi cosmic, hope you can get in to see your GP today...otherwise the midwifery team can usually refer straight away. Try not to panic, as you say brown is old blood. Many ladies on here have bled at various times and been ok. Here for you x

Polka2 · 01/11/2013 08:44

Good luck ladies with scans today.

Cosmic I hope you hear back from the your GP's surgery asap and get pushy and insist on EPU if they're dithering then you can get the reassurance you need. Old blood is a good sign and no pains is also a good sign - hugs and Cake

cosmickitten · 01/11/2013 08:46

GP has told me to go to bed and see what has happened by Monday!!!! Luckily have booking in appointment this afternoon hoping midwife will be more helpful!

WhatWillSantaBring · 01/11/2013 09:08

Oh cosmic how Angry for you - do you have another EPU within shooting distance that takes self referrals? (All my trips to te EPU were to a hospital out of my area, as mine only took GP referrals).

cbeebies good luck today for the scan. I don't know if you've had depression in the past (I have) but if you have, then I know how scary it can be to think you might be slipping back into it. But you are almost certainly not - hormones and the worry of a PG after MC do drive you crazy. I lost count of the hours I spent reading up on ante-natal depression in the first 12 weeks, because I was so utterly utterly miserable. So big {{{{hugs}}}} - you will be fine.

living - if your boobs are mahoosive, then I'd try to go to a Bravissimo store when you come home and get them to measure you. They are fab at getting your size right and if you tell them you're PG, they will get you a bra with some room to grow. I think they tend to go up a back and cup size. (I wouldn't trust anyone in M&S to measure me if they were the only bra retailers left in the world!!!!)

cosmickitten · 01/11/2013 09:13

No other epu Santa. I have just book a private scan for 11:30. £60 for some information seems like a small price. But feel really unhappy with GP. Same situation with my missed miscarriage in June, picked up at private scan as refused epu referral .

jmf294 · 01/11/2013 09:21

Cosmic- hang in there , hope you get seen today, the worry is horrible.

Good luck with your scan today CBeeebies.

Well my sister had a baby boy yesterday evening by c-sec.
All ok and hopefully I will see him today for baby cuddles.

pgchimp · 01/11/2013 09:23

cosmic, sorry to hear about your worries. Another option for referral to epu is to go to a and e as they can refer you. that is what I had to do. My epu was only open until lunchtime on Fridays so if you want reassurance it might be worth doing it sooner rather than later.

cbeebies, please don't feel you are sinking. we are all here to support each other so lean on us if you can.

I am having a 'need a slap' day. last night was the first time I haven't fallen asleep on the sofa at 9.30 and so convinced myself that something was wrong and then of course couldn't sleep at all and when I did had horrible dreams about my husband dying. So now I feel terrible, which doesn't help with the irrational fears.

emki, we are all hoping that no news is good news.

Polka2 · 01/11/2013 09:52

Oh Cosmic that is utterly crap - just when you need NHS support they've failed you and am sorry for that, I hope the private scan brings good news for you but as you say £60 is steep to get some info you need, I'd really hammer the point home to your mw on your booking in appt. Reassurance scans should be part and parcel of pg from early stages for recurrent miscarriers. Sad

Hi anda and pentagon good to hear from the otherside Grin

Welcome cosmic and congrats but sorry to read abt your spotting and terrible GP Hmm Hope you get reassurance today, if you can afford it it is defo worth it for the peace of mind...defo complain to your MW tho Angry

Congrats on becoming an auntie jmf Grin

Urgh I feel awful, woke up at 5;45 with very mild pains...but they were bottom of bump instead of across top like Braxton hicks, they didn't last long either...think I'm in this for the long haul Confused My DM is looking after DS for a bit so I had a sleep this morning, thanks mum Smile

cosmickitten · 01/11/2013 11:41

Scan showed happy, heathly little baby wriggling lots. Bang on date for size and heart beat just as it should be. No sign of cause for the bleed. Feeling so relieved and very grateful that we could afford to pay for the scan.

Intend to put my feet up for a day or two and hope bleeding goes away. Thank you all for your kind welcome x

pgchimp · 01/11/2013 11:52

That is brilliant news cosmic. here's to a ver uneventful rest if pg. Smile

Hi Cosmic, congratulations. I remember you from MC threads. So happy to see you here. Sorry you've had stress already, glad the scan went well. Hope you have a lovely relaxing weekend. x

Polka2 · 01/11/2013 13:19

Cosmic thats such great news, enjoy it "today you are pregnant"!

Bumblebzz · 01/11/2013 13:29

So relieved and happy for you Cosmic, bet that's the best £60 you've ever spent :)

7w+2d here, if I get to next week am going to book an 8w scan. Had a scary 24h on Monday when my ms disappeared, but it came back with a vengeance the next day.
Good luck everyone having scans this week.
X
