Congratulations to everyone who has had happy news over the last day or two! I have another scan tomorrow so gearing up the anxiety again...

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 30/10/2013 17:33

Yea I good news saggy! And Grin at clinging in to the door frame. I swear that's exactly what dd2 did!

BirdsDoIt · 30/10/2013 17:37

Brilliant news saggy and polka, yay! And lovely that the people doing your scan were so nice, saggy!

Good luck tmrw tins - will be thinking of you x

rainbow I think you should definitely be able to hear heartbeat at midwife appt next week - I could hear mine today loud and clear at 17+5 and I think we could have heard it through doppler sooner (though my friend who had mw appt at 17 weeks said her midwife took a couple of mins to find it - depends how much baby is wriggling around I think!)

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 30/10/2013 17:39

Great news on the scan polka, glad everything is ok

Great news Polka! Saggy, so glad Ryvita is doing well Grin
Janie - I am having a secret love affair with my steam cleanerBlush I use it for everything! The kitchen and bathroom has never been so clean. I get it out to do one thing and finish 3 rooms later. So excited to have ready made sterilising of slobbery toys once the baby comes!
I am still having a total nightmare choosing a name for this baby. We like pretty uncommon names and I think the ones we have (or at least the girls one) are a little too marmite!

ChristineDaae · 30/10/2013 17:42

Oh and tins - good luck for tomorrow. Is this to check on the bit of bleeding they saw on the last scan?

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 30/10/2013 17:53

I think we've c

Bakingtins · 30/10/2013 17:54

I'm being scanned once a week until 12 weeks because 8-10 weeks is when things usually go wrong for me.

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 30/10/2013 17:55

I think we've come up with a name for this baby already, I said it and dh said that was it! We ran it passed the dd's and they got it wrong but keep callin the baby lollipop so cute I think it may stick! Of course if lollipop is a girl it's back to the drawing board!

Baking tins thinking of you and crossing fingers for tomorrow.

Tomkat79 · 30/10/2013 18:44

Lovely scan news today :-)

A week has come around very quickly baking, hope all well tomorrow.

Have invited everyone back here for a halloween party after t or t....am I mad or what?!

Penguinita · 30/10/2013 18:51

Hooray for good scans saggy and polka! And good luck for tomorrow tins.

I have to ask though (sorry if I missed it before): why "Ryvita"? Is it because she is a little cracker? Maybe I'll have to come up with a nickname too, as a penguin chick I think " Pingu" probably suits Grin

Tomorrow is a milestone day for me as I'll be 9+5 which is when I started bleeding last time. If I can get through it then it will feel like entering uncharted exciting new territory Smile

BirdsDoIt · 30/10/2013 19:03

Yay kat glad you got to hear hb today too! My 22 week scan is now just over 4 weeks away...hoping it goes fairly quickly as I'm abroad with work in the week leading up to it, and busy at work before that, and also trying to plan new kitchen to be installed prior to baby's arrival in April! So lots of distractions and feeling pretty posifrickintive which is nice. Also sneakily spotted on DH's e-mail that he's ordered me a baby on board badge as a surprise from tfl website which made me feel quite emotional for some reason Smile maybe because he hasn't been talking about baby v much but is obviously thinking about it.

tomkat hugs for your milestone tomorrow and I'm sure you will breeze through it into the exciting uncharted territory beyond!

Lieslvontrapp · 30/10/2013 19:30

Great scan news polka & saggy!

Will be thinking of you tomorrow baking!

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 30/10/2013 19:32

Here's to passing that milestone penguin, little pingu is a great name Smile

You have to spill the beans and tell us the names cbeebies and christine WinkGrin

Thanks for asking garden had intense BH last night so was wondering again if things were kicking off but nothing today, apart from nausea...having my last hair appt tomorrow before baby (and prob till the new year tbh!) so hoping it doesn't come now till after then ha ha Wink

Emki · 30/10/2013 20:06

Good luck tomorrow tins and here's to your milestone penguin.

I've also got a scan tomorrow and starting to stress as not feeling nauseous today ..... eeek!! Think it can sometimes be more stressful having scans - but I'd rather know early if things have gone wrong ...

Also.. just wondering, do or did any of you feel less nauseous when you had less stressy days.. today I had a very relaxed day visiting a friend and only had slight nausea this morning ... I'm totally over analysing and going bonkers.

Glad your scans went well saggy and polka

Hi ladies been lurking on and off over the months and all these threads gave me hope :) well currently 9wk and 2 days tomorrow after mc in Feb. I'm 35, have bipolar and hypothyroid so considered high risk sigh. Not wanting to hijack this lovely thread in any way at all with my nerves! But I had a good scan at 6 weeks then a horrible woman at 7wks who told me I would probably miscarry which I so will not go into....but still seems to be hanging on in there. Morning sickness is worse than ever and tonight DH applauded me for keeping down my 1st vegetable in a month hehehehe! My care has been transferred to a big specialist hospital who don't want to see me till 12 weels which I find oddly reassuring!

Hmm so I have a question and I hope you don't mind the bag of nerves that I am asking. I was off sick for two weeks and started back at work properly on Monday. By the end of the day I noticed some strange aches in my back which I had not had before. It comes and goes during the day and moves around - right now it is bang slap in the middle! Sometimes it spreads to my hip bones and sometimes down my legs. And ahem to my bottom bones. And now it had stopped Ofc lol.
In the spirit of positivity :) I assume it is a combination of being back at my desk and spending 3 hrs a day driving to and from work. Does anyone else get this? And are there any good yoga you tubes coz I am too skint and sick to go to pregnancy yoga?

And on another note is it possible to establish ones maternity bra size without having to go for a measurement? I live in the Netherlands and it's a bit dire for that kind of thing - would like a nice m and s bra!

Thank you so much and wishing you all lots of lovely scans and bouncing babies :)

BirdsDoIt · 30/10/2013 20:21

Yep definitely emki when overtired or stressed out it was much worse and those tended to be the times I actually threw up. Relaxed days much easier all round so don't worry about nausea easing off. Good luck for scan tomorrow - sorry, can't remember your dates - is it 12 weeks or are you further on? Actually now I think about it, I was stressing about the exact same thing for the two days pre 12 week scan, because nausea was going away, and then it was the morning AFTER the scan that I threw up again - remember thinking to myself at the time, couldn't that have happened just a day or two earlier to put my mind at rest?!

Emki · 30/10/2013 20:29

thank you birds - I'll be 10 wks on Friday (fingers crossed). Yes, when I'm working I feel much more nauseous - as I'm on half term (i'm a teacher) not feeling it much - I must rush around more and get stressed so I can still be nauseous (it is you isn't birds who I recommended an acupuncturist .... ?)

living sorry for your loss and you are also on this frantic rollercoaster of emotions. I'm afraid I can't help re: backpain, I get so many little twinges which make me analyse until I can't think straight. Are you able to go to your EAPU for a check at all?

GuffSmuggler · 30/10/2013 21:01

Fantastic news polka and saggy so pleased for you! Grin saggy we might end up giving birth at the same then if you are likely to be early.

kat it's so lovely hearing the heartbeat isn't it? Just truly magical after everything we've all been through.

Good luck tomorrow baking and emki will be thinking of you.

Welcome living congrats on your BFP!

So the highlight of my day was DS managed to do a big log in the potty. After 3 days of clearing up turds in his pants he finally reached the target. This is what my life has been reduced to!!

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 30/10/2013 21:18

Guff Grin Buddies!
It'll be quite nice to go into spontaneous labour and not need to be induced! Confused

GardenWorm · 30/10/2013 21:25

Ha Ha Guff - I find myself shocked at the size of the logs that come out of DD, she is always very proud of her 'massive poohs'!

Oh Shell it's sods law you wont get to your hair appt or things will start mid barnet chop Grin, still I'm sure you'll actually be quite happy (even if it does mean you get a wonky cut!)

Will be thinking of you tomorrow tins

Hello living and welcome - i've always just used the online measuring tools that you get for bras maternity or not.....

Hope your milestones passes smoothly penguin

...and yes please share your names, especially your marmite ones christine, i like marmite names but am also struggling this time round Smile

ChristineDaae · 30/10/2013 21:58

Welcome living! Hoping for a very dull pregnancy for you!
Emski and Tins, do you have nice am scans or have to wait till the afternoon?

So our names will out me completely to any of the...maybe 3 people I've mentioned them to!
For a boy we like Cooper, for a girl Sawyer.
Confused

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 30/10/2013 22:03

Baking don't worry. I told you, I decreed that everything will be fine! Wink
