Cbeebies did anyone mention cervical erosion or ectropion to you? The skin of the cervix can be quite delicate during pg and easily damaged, although its harmless. I bled with DD1 and this was the cause. Its quite common but definitely scary. Try not to worry. x

GardenWorm · 26/10/2013 23:17

Hope things are a bit better for you Cbeebs and you are feeling reassured by everyone's responses? The tooth situation sounds terrible, totally understand the reluctance to miss that appt.

MissMedusa · 27/10/2013 07:51

Sounds like to too much of a coincidence that you dtd last night and started bleeding the next day to be caused by anything else. I would be much more worried if had happened randomly without any explanation. You've already had a bleed that turned out fine, you may just be super vascularised down there right now and any contact will cause bleeding. Thinking of you with fingers crossed, I'm sure everything will be fine Smile

Penguinita · 27/10/2013 08:20

Hope the bleeding has eased off today cbeebies, as others have said it is probably fine, but that won't stop you worrying. Try to keep busy to take your mind off things.

Some friends have just announced their first pregnancy on Facebook by posting their 12 week scan pic. I'm really pleased for them, but also really scared as it does seem very early to be telling the world. I know from the sad experiences on these threads that things don't always work out. I'm not sure which I'd prefer to have, their naive optimism or my bitter pessimism! Smile

Bit late to the party but congratulation Pentagon!!! Your labour sounds lovely.
Ceebeebies - I bleed all the time after sex in this preg. Literally every time. Iv stopped worrying now tbh. I think it's a friction/sensitivity thing rather than anything to do with the baby. Those of you waiting for kicks... They will come, and when you start getting booted in the lungs or worse, straight down so it feels like the baby's trying to walk out, you will miss the gentle wiggly movements Wink

BlackholesAndRevelations · 27/10/2013 09:34

Wow!! I haven't been on here for a while and I missed a baby being born!! Many many congratulations, pentagon! Elsie is one of my favourite names. Fab sounding labour too!

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 27/10/2013 10:20

Thanks ladies, I'm feeling much better today although quite stressed. I took a tumble yesterday and landed awakwardly on my bum so worried about that now. I actually just give up!
Thanks every one for your lovely reassurances, it is helping.

I'm just making dd1 pumpkin fruit birthday cake in the shape of a pumpkin today so thats keeping me busy.

GuffSmuggler · 27/10/2013 14:23

oh cebebbies sorry about the fall, you are giving yourself a rough time of it aren't you!? Glad you have cake making to take your mind off things.

anyone else up mega early with a toddler? 5.30am here. Urgh how am I going to cope with the newborn days again....!?

RainbowConnections · 27/10/2013 18:30

Sounds like a good cake.

Guff DS wakes between 5.30 and 6 normally so was wide awake at 4.30 today - hopefully not tomorrow!

Bakingtins · 27/10/2013 19:33

Sounds fab, Cbeebies. I made my son a Hedwig cake for his Harry Potter birthday party yesterday and was very proud of myself (domestic goddess I am not) I had to get my best friend to cut it up because I couldn't bear to take a knife to it!

TeaAndANatter · 27/10/2013 19:57

Congrats pentagon, lovely name!

Glad your scan went well baking tins.

Sorry to read of the most recent bleed CBeebs, am crossing everything for you.

I've had two weeks of really good posifrickintivity. Feeling a bit anxious today for no reason, just worrying it#s all gone wrong. Probably fine. Waiting it out.

ScabbyOozingCarbuncle · 27/10/2013 20:05

Oh CBeebies! Sad What a time you are having! I hope you can rest up for a bit! And I hope your bleeding has stopped now!
Ive just gone on Ebay and ordered a bump support. I sometimes feel like my bump is going to fall out, and it aches a lot, owing to having NO stomach muscles at all So the time has come!
It should be here by Tuesday thank God!

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 28/10/2013 09:22

morning ladies. hope you are all safe in the storms x

cbeebies, i hope things have calmed down for you, are you still going to try to get to the EPU for some reassurance?

tins i want some birthday cake!!

Bakingtins · 28/10/2013 09:33

Sorry janie It was demolished by hordes of children!
I am off work today. Yesterday was hit by bone-crushing tiredness and spent the afternoon in bed. This morning I went to the bathroom and I presume fainted, DH heard the thud and found me out cold on the floor Blush I've had breakfast in bed (never happens) but I still feel a bit woozy so not going to work. I really hope this is a pregnancy symptom and not a sign something is going wrong.... I was like this with DS1, had low blood pressure and keeled over a few times and was ridiculously tired. I gave a student midwife a proper fright when I fainted on her, put the poor girl off for life!

Polka2 · 28/10/2013 10:13

Cbeebies poor you, you're certainly being tested but for reassurance try and get down to your EPAU - they're usually v understanding for rmc peeps. My mw said not to have sex until I've spoken to my consultant (more so I don't freak myself out if I have another bleed rather than cos it causes mc/probs) as I'm taking heparin and already had that scare after being constipated where I burst some blood vessels on my cervix (apparently its very fragile - who knew!!)

baking hope you're feeling a little better now after your brekkie in bed - hideous feeling like that, after my 2nd mc I had vv low blood pressure and would need to stick my legs in the air at some point during the day (usually after a shower/bath). Rest up, it does sound like pg symptoms rather than anything sinister (fingers crossed).

scabby hope the belt helps, alot of my friends says they've been a godsend!

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 28/10/2013 10:47

Morning all, te bleeding has stopped and I'm feeling confident it was because of sex. I missed the EPAU call this morning so will have to wait till this afternoon. I think I'm happy to wait till Friday for my normal scan, I'm just being crazy headed!

Scabby the belt will help loads, I was given one by my physio in my last pg and it's the only thing I haven't lent out Blush I know I'll want to use it again and didn't want it to get lost!

Baking are you about 10 weeks? The tiredness is normal for the 10 week mark as is fainting tbh. Lots of blood rushing around means you don't always get it where you need it. Make sure you get a full blood work done tho including Folic acid, b12 and iron.

GuffSmuggler · 28/10/2013 11:31

Morning everyone,

Baking I think it's a great sign you're mega tired and fainting, all very normal Grin

So I've cleaned up a poo and 3 wees this morning but he's made it to the potty for a couple, this is exhausting!!!

Bakingtins · 28/10/2013 11:49

I'm 8+4. I remember it was at my booking appt that I fainted on the midwife with DS1 so hoping this is just how my body reacts. Bit worried it could be side effects of all the drugs I'm on, but have been on them for 5 weeks now and felt ok.

shellsocks · 28/10/2013 13:02

Glad you're feeling a bit happier cbeebies hope time flies till Friday Smile

baking I had low blood pressure quite badly with DS and fainted a lot, I sympathise it was scary and you feel ill for ages after an episode...was defo a pregnancy symptom for me tho Smile

Oh guff I feel your pain, we are on day 6 and although no accidents today yet we still had some yesterday (no poos tho thank god Grin). I'm gonna give it to the weekend and if we are not in a position to take him out with no nappy I'm gonna knock it on the head until the new year....it's killing me with the PGP as well Hmm

Had MW this morning and am 2/5 engaged Grin Was never with DS so am so pleased..booked in for a sweep in two weeks but am hoping to go before then!

GuffSmuggler · 28/10/2013 13:09

shell I don't know how you're are doing it! I'm finding it really hard with all the bending down to the potty and clearing up the mess and I'm only 22 weeks!! Good idea that you give it until the weekend and if no go forget about it until after baby is born.

RainbowConnections · 28/10/2013 13:21

Baking i hope you are getting lots of rest today. Really does sound like pregnancy symptoms, esp given your previous experience with DS1. Hope the party went well.

I've just had to cut short a day out with DS as he was being so naughty. Now at home with an overtired whining 3yo. Stopped to get us lunch on way home and so distracted bought and ate a bloody brie sandwich. Grrr.

Trying to work up the enthusiasm for an afternoon of trains.

Pentagon · 28/10/2013 17:47

thank you Christine and blackholes! Smile

cbeebies glad you're better!

shell 2/5ths sounds promising! When I saw the midwife 5 days before giving birth I was 4/5ths so you're closer because apparently 0/5ths would mean it's totally engaged - exciting!!!

Sorry I forgot to answer the questions about DD1's reaction: she has been great so far, wants to cuddle and kiss the baby and has barely been jealous (only when she sees the baby have something of hers, a blanket for example, she wants it back). Let's hope it lasts!

IBelieveInPink · 28/10/2013 19:00

Ooh shell that's exciting! Can I ask - what does it feel like? At my appointment the other day I was 4/5ths (which is the amount of babies head they can feel above the pelvis) but I don't get that 'bowling ball' feeling that everyone talks about? Do I just need to wait for her to drop more?

Pixielady83 · 28/10/2013 19:28

hi ladies just checking in. having a lovely few days away although missing DH as I feel I can boss him around and get him to do everything for me and DD in a way I feel would rude to ask of my mum! Grin however she is being v helpful with DD and a change of scenery is nice.

tins hope you feel better soon, I hate fainting, you feel so vulnerable when you come round don't you? I'm always worried I will have flashed my knickers or thrown up or something when it happens to me!

beebies glad you feel better Smile

shell and guff sending you lots of positive potty training vibes! our first attempt was at 2.3mths and was a miserable failure, accident after accident and v little awareness, thought it was my fault as had terrible morning sickness and fatigue so felt I hadn't supported her enough. Gave up and 2 months later DD just decided not to wear nappies anymore and more or less did it herself while we were on holiday totally not what I had planned! I found a good book (lulu's loo) and spending lots of time going to the loo with her potty trained friend really helped get her in the zone in the in between months.
