Pentagon, I like Elsie very much - I know another wee Elsie and she's lovely too.

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 25/10/2013 20:04

Oh Crikey guff!!! I'll be 36+5 when I have the massage, I'd better bring my hospital notes to the hotel!! A friend had reflexology and went into labour the next day with both her babies, she had it the day before edd! I might book in for that in a few weeks :)

MeDoingMyThing · 25/10/2013 20:36

Pentagon - HUGE congratulations! What an amazing birth, I hope I have one just like you. And beautiful name. One of my pals called her daughter a similar name - Elsa and I think it's adorable.

Sorry I have barely posted. I have been lurking but feeling rubbish. Want a scan but can't justify the cost to be honest.

Hope everyone is okay!

GardenWorm · 25/10/2013 21:43

My turn to be jealous of you first timers who will actually have some chill out time. Toddler to rent here too Grin

Wow Janie you did well getting flowers, my boss barely lifted his head to say goodbye! Men.

Pink cooking and freezing is a great idea. With DD I remember someone coming to pay a visit after she was born and they brought a home made lasagne in a foil throw away tray. It was the best gift ever!!! Ha Ha!

Wow look at all those March babies! How lovely to have a little springtime bundle of snugglyness :) (taking my mind off being top of the list, just sat there in black and white!)

IBelieveInPink · 25/10/2013 22:27

Wow, the list of baby's is growing! That's so exciting. It finally feels a bit real, like it can happen. :)

Garden - any good suggestions of what to freeze? So far I have lots of mashed potato, chilli, curry, and lasagne. Going to do a couple of lemon drizzle cakes too. Yum

ScabbyOozingCarbuncle · 25/10/2013 23:16

Well, Ive gone from not being able to feel any movement through my anterior placenta, to being battered internally, almost overnight!!
Little Ryvita is currently doing ninja spins in there, alternating between high kicking me in the belly and Riverdancing on my bladder!! I had to get up 3 times in the night to pee!

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 26/10/2013 09:55

Nice one saggy!!

Pink I'm thinking of making some soups for the freezer as well. A good tip I read was to freeze stuff in freezer bags rather than Tupperware as you can lie them flat and stack them. I'm also thinking if a few beefy stew type dinners, chicken casseroles and anything I can eat with one hand! Mmm making me hungry just thinking about it!

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 26/10/2013 09:56

And I like the sound if having cake in the freezer... Is there a particular lemon drizzle recipe you have that's freezable? Never thought about freezing treats!! :)

GuffSmuggler · 26/10/2013 11:13

Oh saggy that's lovely, I'm still getting sporadic wiggles nothing that I can see a pattern of yet. Can't wait for the big hoofs :-)

I've decided to potty train DS next week before I get too massive and can't bend down to the potty, he 2 and 9 months I'm dreading it! Wish me luck!!!

IBelieveInPink · 26/10/2013 11:58

Janie - yes there is. I'm out at the moment, if I don't remember later (serious baby brain!) remind me and I will dig out the recipe. Yuuuuuum.
Good idea on freezer bags. Will use that to pack around the pots of mash I have made!!

shellsocks · 26/10/2013 12:48

I'm on day 4 with DS and he's only 19m guff must be mad! Just thought id give it a shot before baby comes and he's been trained for poos for months....I'm totally knackered its hardwork, but he has shown progress each day so I'm made up with him Smile Good luck Grin

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 26/10/2013 12:52

Nice one pink Smile don't worry, when there's cake involved I'll not be scared to remind you!

Good luck with the potty training guff and shell!

I've convinced dh to paint our bedroom this weekend! Not sure how I managed but omg I've got so much shit to clear our! I could start a beauty bar with all my lotions and potions! Might donate all the stuff I don't use to friends!

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 26/10/2013 13:27

I'm bleeding again Haloween Sad I've been on the phone to the maternity ward this morning as the EPAU is closed till monday. They tried to reassure me but I'm feeling a little stressed and crazy. I'm 11+3 today. 12 weeks scan is booked for friday, but before then I have dd1's birthday party and some really realy important dental work that needs doing (hence doing it while I'm pregnant) the earliest date I would be able to have a scan is thursday, so I guess I'm waiting till friday. I feel so helpless Haloween Sad

GardenWorm · 26/10/2013 15:07

Oh Cbeebs is it light/spotting? When you say again do you mean in this pregnancy? It can be perfectly normal but just doesn't feel that way (especially to us). Can you really not squeeze a trip to the EPAU in on Monday or Tues? (appreciate not in place of DD1's birthday but maybe defer the dentist? Didn't think they could do a lot whilst you are pregnant?) You'll be a nervous reck by Friday! Sending you a big hug xxx

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 26/10/2013 15:12

I bled around 8 weeks and tho is lots more although it is quite mucosey. We dtd last night and the bleeding started not long after, so the guilt and stress is Doug my head in :(

I could defer the dentist, but I have been on a waiting list for 8 months to have a cracked tooth repaired under ga, in that time it's gone from bad to worse and tr hole thing is rotten. They can't take it out as I'd need ga as it's so bad now but they can take measures to help (taking away a lot of the decay and packing it out till after the preg. I really need it done, it's very painful and I'm taking paracetomal most days just to get through :(

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 26/10/2013 15:13

I'm not using a pa but every time I wipe it's there and fills the tissue iyswim

Pentagon · 26/10/2013 16:42

cbeebies if it's mucousy and it appeared after DTD it shouldn't be anything to worry about; but I understand your concern, I would feel the same. Maybe the EPAU can squeeze you in early in the week - you never know, it's worth a try

I'm glad you like "Elsie" ladies! thanks, it means a lot to me Smile

Ah pixie that's such a sweet thing to say, I'm honoured I was able to be of some encouragement/help! Thanks

saggy I had an anterior placenta and didn't get regular movements till I was 25 weeks (or maybe even later, like 28 or so)

aaaah, potty training....sore subject... DD1 is 2yrs 9m and isn't even remotely interested. She was into for a couple of months in spring, then lost all interest and still haven't regained it. I don't want to force her into it so not even trying at the moment

CbeebiesIsMyLife · 26/10/2013 16:54

pentagon, dd1 just suddenly decided she wanted to be a big girl one day and we haven't looked back since! my dsis who is 6 months older has only just potty trained and she is 3 1/2 and has regular accidents. It'll happen when the child is ready

the midwife I spoke to said it ws probably due to 'friction' in the vigina area, she said its probably nothing to worry about but definitely worth investigating. She also said to stay away from sex for the time being, I wasn't planning on doing it ever again during this pregnancy tbh.

I also love Elsie.

IBelieveInPink · 26/10/2013 17:11

Janie - I can't find the one from before but this one looks very similar. And says it freezes well. Planning on making it soon, so I'll let you know!
www.mumsnet.com/Recipes/i/939-Lemon-drizzle-cake

Another suggestion I read somewhere is substituting lemon for orange and chocolate chips. Mmmmmm.

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 26/10/2013 17:22

sorry you're having this worry cbeebies, hopefully you can be seen early in the week xx

thanks pink!! that looks pretty janie-proof!! will definitely give it a whirl thus week. ok supid question alert (cake has never lasted long enough to get frozen in this house!)... i'm guessing you bake it, ice it then freeze it?!

RainbowConnections · 26/10/2013 17:31

Cbeebies I had bleeding after sex in first trimester. I can't remember exactly when but i think it was a couple of weeks before 12 week scan. I needed liners rather than proper pads and it lasted 2 days. I know it really freaks you out but it is very very common after sex. If you DTD last night its very likely what has caused the bleeding, not anything else. Hopefully it'll stop by the end of the weekend and you'll feel a little better and go ahead with the dental treatment. Tooth pain can be horrible and really get you down.
Sorry, started message a while ago but didnt get chance to finish. Glad midwife has been reassuring.

LuckySocks13 · 26/10/2013 19:43

Cebeebies - just wanted to let you know I've had about 6 bleeds this pregnancy and I'm now 36 weeks today. No reason has ever been found. It's so hard not to panic especially after our losses but try and keep calm. Hope you can fit in a visit at some point to the EPU .

What a good idea to freeze mash Pink. Never thought of trying that. :)
