After 3 tests i accepted that we are having a baby.
It's still the early stages but i don't know what the hell is going on.
I haven't had any symptoms.. No sickness, breasts feel fine, i don't feel pregnant and have to wait another 6 weeks for my scan, i am going off my head.
I have put a stone on and bloated up around my belly.

Anyone at the same stage as me care to chat and discuss whats normal at this stage :)

Hi, can I join in, 6 weeks and constantly nauseous :-( also got very little appetite. Been to doctors Tue, had call from midwife yesterday and scan 11th November-trying to decide if should wait until Christmas to tell family etc...anyone else any thoughts? Don't want to tell extended family until after Christmas because my cousin has just got engaged (were very close) and whilst she would never say anything I would hate to steal the attention away from her!

junebaby2014 · 07/11/2013 08:16

Aw Carmen sweetie ?????? i am so sorry!!! Big hugs and kisses to you, you never know though,
My mate had bleeding all the way through her pregnancy almost like a period every month... And everything was ok, just wait until today hunny!!

Oh Carmen!!!
Big big hugs for you! I'm so so sorry!
I can't even begin to imagine how you must be feeling.

Sending positive vibes for a different result for you today!

Riblet · 07/11/2013 09:30

Oh Carmen, so so sorry to hear that. Really hoping for a miracle for you, can't imagine how you must be feeling either xx

Paula- that's good that the midwife didn't think it was anything to worry about, bet Monday can't come quick enough though.

Hi ickle, welcome to the thread! I'm the same about when to tell people - will be after scan (2nd Dec) and was thinking of Christmas when everyone is together but wanted to tell family and friends before telling work but then I think work will be suspicious by then, with the likely weight gain and the lack of drinking at the Christmas do! I may just tell family soon after scan, partly because we have quite a lot to do on our house before the baby arrives and once it's announced everyone will probably rally round and help (well that's what my mum says!). Has your cousin already announced her engagement or is she doing it at Christmas? If it's already known then I'd say a few weeks of limelight is plenty before you share your happy news!

Lvcat · 07/11/2013 13:47

Just had my first home visit from mw. Turns out in actually 11 weeks pregnant and they have move my scan date forward from December to the 21st of November! So excited!

Re:work. Doctor told me to self cert for a week so I am going to drop that off today and he's prescribed me some anti anxiety stuff so hopefully that will help. Will keep you informed as to what nasty boss man says

carmen87 · 07/11/2013 13:54

Bad news, passed the sack last night! I had a cry and few cuddles from family, feeling a tad better keep telling myself these things happen for a reason and my health is ok! I have great family and friends and women at the hospital were lovely!! Defanitly will try again when I'm good and ready! I wish you all the best in your pregnancys!

Lvcat · 07/11/2013 14:34

Oh Carmen I am so sorry!!!!

That really is the saddest news. My heart goes out to you and your DP.

Riblet · 07/11/2013 15:22

So sorry Carmen, that must be heartbreaking! It's not much consolation but you are right, it happens for a reason and there's every chance when you're ready to try again that everything will be fine. My mum and MIL both had a MC with their first but then went on to have 5 healthy babies between them. Take care of yourself and best wishes to your and your DP xx

ChicaMomma · 07/11/2013 16:10

aww crikey carmen, you poor thing. How far long were you again?
Be nice to yourself tonite, a nice bottle of wine and a take away.

carmen87 · 07/11/2013 18:32

I was around. 5-6 weeks I think, my dates were never confirmed, worn out n aching all over! Thankfully my dp is managing to get home tonight as he works away! Any ideas on how I could tell my 6yr old?? I didn't want to tell him I was pregnant in the first place but my Granda was too excited and kept bringing it up x

carmen87 · 07/11/2013 19:21

Also I'm thinking of writing in the memorial book at the hospital, I'm just unsure what to put! I feel daft as I never once saw my baby on any scan, so it's hard to say it was even there! But I know it was! If anyone can help give any ideal quotes for such an early loss I would be so grateful xxx

panicmechanic · 07/11/2013 19:48

Hi Carmen, so sorry to hear about your loss. I had a still born son a couple of years ago and had a similar situation of explaining to little ones. I said that our little one was now our guardian angel and always taking care of us and if you look in the sky they were the brightest star and weren't ready to come down to earth but helps us from there. Hope that helps in someway. Also went to a chapel/ church to light a candle xxx

MrsCharlieD · 08/11/2013 20:41

So sorry for your loss carmen. stay strong and sending you prayers and best wishes x

AuntieMaggie · 09/11/2013 14:36

Carmen I am so sorry to hear about your loss.

I am 6 weeks this week with my first pregnancy. I don't feel particularly pregnant other than a little cramping and being cold. I have been through a whole range of emotions this week which today are mostly fear about how we're going to afford it...

I saw my gp yesterday and now I'm waiting for the mw to contact me about appt, I've booked appt to get blood tests to check medical condition, I got my medication changed for pregnancy friendly, and my gp is sending notification to hospital specialist.

MrsCharlieD · 10/11/2013 09:04

Hi all got my scan date for 19th November. feeling anxious as I've not really suffered from morning sickness which i know can indicate something might be wrong. I've felt nauseous a bit but only been sick a few times over 3 weeks. Just want the scan over with so i know if everything is ok or not. It's the not knowing that's so awful. hope everyone else is ok x

junebaby2014 · 10/11/2013 18:32

I had some bleeding today.
Got myself all worked up and
Stressed and upset :(
Spoke to doctor said if it carrys on which thankfully it hasn't to call for N emergency scan. Everything ok for now, 10 weeks on tuesday.
First midwive appointment on tuesday. She may scan me to ensure everything ok.

Hope everyones well Smile

I had a bit of bleeding today too - well it was pinky/brown and only a tiny bit but still enough to freak me out. Was all psyched up to tell my boss tomorrow - but doesn't seem such a good idea now. Have booking appointment on wednesday so hopefully will get some peace of mind then. But I've kind of felt a bit abandoned so far to be honest - seems such a long wait between finding out and actually getting your first appointment. Just had a lot of leaflets through the post and told to look at the NHS website - not really helpful or reassuring. :(

PaulaFletch14 · 10/11/2013 21:30

Hi all
I've had some brown bleeding quite light last few days but stopped today. Freaked me out. I'm 7 weeks only symptoms I've got are feeling cold, nausea and tiredness. Got an early scan tomorrow morning and I'm terrified. My first pregnancy

junebaby2014 · 11/11/2013 15:28

I wish you all the best in your pregnancys! and i hope to be back on here soon with some good news!!

Take care mummys to be x

I'm very sorry to hear that. :(
Take care x

Riblet · 12/11/2013 10:08

Oh June, so sorry to hear that. So much sad news on here at the moment - take care of yourself and you too Carmen - hope you are feeling a bit better if your DP is back. Hopefully you will both be back soon with some good news.

Paula - how did your scan go? Hope everything was ok. Have to admit it's quite worrying hearing of so many people getting bad news- I'm very grateful I haven't had any signs of anything going wrong so far but you just never know. Anyway, let us know how you get on.
