After 3 tests i accepted that we are having a baby.
It's still the early stages but i don't know what the hell is going on.
I haven't had any symptoms.. No sickness, breasts feel fine, i don't feel pregnant and have to wait another 6 weeks for my scan, i am going off my head.
I have put a stone on and bloated up around my belly.

Anyone at the same stage as me care to chat and discuss whats normal at this stage :)

Thanks junebaby. Glad I'm not the only one who seems to be having the sudden rush of hormones and weird days. I think it's almost like I was in denial last week and now that I've accepted it everything is hitting with a vengeance.
Had a bag of crisps and some jelly babies to settle my stomach after dinner, struggling with the stomach today.
Will be nice to hear everyone who due around the same time, sure we will all have the same concerns and worries so good to confirm that we are not going mad ! (Wanted to add a smiley here but not sure how, oh well.)

AnnaBanana25 · 25/10/2013 18:11

Hi waiting game,Congrats!! And I nibbled through a whole bag of jelly babies too, it only feels right, given my condition!

On other notes, been to see the gp who has walked us through all the infertility concerns. She was so happy and even gave me a hug! She estimated that I'm 6 weeks tomorrow and gave loads of advice. She is going to push for an early scan but says because my ovulation is sporadic due to pcos, I may not be as far along and she wouldn't want to send me to a scan if they can't find a heartbeat. She will call next week to see how I am.

I'm so gutted we're movingmoving soon. We will be 20mins away and considered keeping the same gp, but I wonder if the drive will be too much when I get bigger.... Hmm.

argylesocks · 25/10/2013 18:23

Hi ladies can I jump in? I'm about 5.5 weeks and just a little freaked out that I don't feel any differently. This is DC 2 and I was definitely nauseous and exhausted at this point last time.

I feel totally fine and even don't have much appetite. Is that normal? I've taken 3 tests since my bfp and all strong positives. Does this sound normal?

mrsm22 · 25/10/2013 20:27

Hi all, I hope I'm not too late to join. I think I was six weds on Wednesday and have my first midwife appointment on weds 6th November. This is my second pregnancy and I only found our on Monday, I am still tempted to keep testing after doing 4 tests between Monday and Tuesday as I just can't believe it. So far i just feel a bit more tired than usual , hungry and sore boobs.

Waitinggame8 · 27/10/2013 11:21

Thanks AnnaBannana. I was hoping we would be able to get an early scan too but have to wait until the 13th Nov. Thankfully there seems to be enough reaction in my body to make me feel confident all is well at the moment.
Big day today as we have decided to get the parents and my brother together to tell them. I know it is probably a bit early but it felt wrong having to tell random strangers like my dentist and hairdresser without our families knowing first. My sister cried on the phone yesterday when I told her early as she lives in Ireland, whereas we are in Edinburgh.
Had a celebratory dinner last night for our 5year anniversary which my OH had arranged weeks ago with a friend who works in a posh restaurant here. Complimentary glass of champagne has been coming back on me all night! Only had 1 and made it last 2 hrs but it felt like the worst hangover ever, so I think the darling bean has already decided I am completely off it all for the duration.

Lvcat · 27/10/2013 18:22

Annabanana- I'm DYING waiting for my scan, I have to wait until December, which just seems like a million miles away. I want to meet the "little raspberry" now!! (This is the nickname my work mates have given the LO hahaha)
I'm so glad everyone else is finding it hard to keep it a secret. I literally want to shout it from the roof tops Smile

AnnaBanana25 · 28/10/2013 07:28

Congrats argylesocks (by any chance do you knit, or just like socks? Curious.) My gp said pregnancy tests really don't go wrong, so sounds like you're up the duff! :-)

Congrats also to mrsm :-)

Lvcat - every day is a struggle talking to people in the knowledge that they don't know about this massive thing that's happening! Trying to make it a special time between me and my husband. Also not fully sure it won't end in a mc so am slightly protecting myself by not being TOO happy, and I want to be over the moon when we share the news. Also my folks suffered the loss of a child, don't want to have them go through another loss if it ends that way :-( its so hard as its all I want to talk about!!!

Waiting game - know how you feel as the only thing stopping me doing constant tests is this constant nausea! Makes me know something is going on (and its not a food baby as my boobs hurt like a motherf-er!!! Excuse my French!)

panicmechanic · 28/10/2013 13:40

Hi ladies hope you are all doing well! I spoke too soon and have yucky morning (all day) sickness. Even struggling to keep my folic acid tablet down :/. Went to the docs on Friday and as I am old bird and had a stillborn son I go on a programme which scans every Two weeks. I am planning to tell my parents at Xmas and work in Jan - let's see how that plan goes with MS x

clairesmiles · 28/10/2013 15:29

Hello Ladies,

Congrats everyone!

I just found out this morning that I'm approx 7 weeks pregnant. I noticed a couple of weeks ago that i was going off coffee, which is strange coz i love it. Then my boobs started getting sore, but i thought it was coz AF was due. Last few days though I have been feeling constantly queasy and unable to fulfill my hunger, so then i started to suspect.

Took 1 test this morning which looked like it was positive, so i went and got a clearblue digital and did that one, came back 3+ weeks. I can't believe it, it's not sunk in at all!!

Haven't even told the other half yet as he's at work, anyone else just can't believe it!?!

xxxxxx

panicmechanic · 28/10/2013 16:22

Congrats Clairesmiles ! How are you going to tell your DH

carmen87 · 28/10/2013 20:57

Scan day tomorrow!! Excited but scared at the same time!! Had no more bleeds n stil feel sickly on a morn n sore boobs so im feeling hopefull! I cant wait to tell people is hard keepig itna secret

Waitinggame8 · 28/10/2013 21:25

Congrats clairesmiles, you will have told your hubby by now too I imagine so congrats to you both!

AnnaBannana your French is excused, and understood! I want to scream if they get pressed too hard, I'm sure that's what's waking me up at night.

So all back to normal now, family know and the fantastic reaction from my parents was brill, but now the other half wants to tell everyone! I have had to ban him until after the scans, but not sure he will cope on unsupervised occasions! I suppose I should be happy he just wants to shout it out, but just quietly just now would be good.

Good luck tomorrow Carmen, is this your first scan with the heartbeat? I wish it was me too, it will be amazing I imagine. Remember to tell all after.

carmen87 · 29/10/2013 06:56

Having an early scan as had a slight bleed, im unsure of how far I actually am to be honest havent even had a call from the midwife yet. Its been the longest 7 daysnof my life, but todays the day and im deffanitly feeling positive today! 11:50 cant come quick enough

carmen87 · 29/10/2013 13:06

Had my scan, have to go back in two weeks!! Itsbeither to early or ive had a failed pregnancy! They could see the sack but nothing inside it

MrsCharlieD · 29/10/2013 21:03

Carmen i hope everything is ok for you, will keep my fingers crossed.

I have my booking in appointment on Thursday and recently found out i have totally miscalculated my dates and Im probs nearer the 9 week mark.

hope all the 6 week ladies are ok!

MrsFrederick25 · 29/10/2013 21:34

This is amazing, wish I'd seen it a week ago! Found out I was pregnant a few weeks ago, over the moon as we have been trying for just over a year! Anyway last week I bled and freaked out and went to a walk in clinic who referred me to EPU for a scan. The wait was awful. Women who were obviously losing their babies were sitting there sobbing quietly :( what a relief when I finally got my scan and dr said all was fine. I honestly could have skipped all the way home. Turns out I was 6 wks 2 days at the scan but could already clearly see my baby's little heartbeat. Magic!! Dr said they'd scan me every two weeks for peace of mind (nice of em!) revealed I have polycystic ovaries (probs why it took a while to conceive). Have had no bleeding since, just giant melons where my boobs used to be, an incredible (annoying) appetite, hugely bloated belly, need to pee on the hour every hour and the most horrible morning sickness that only stops when I'm eating or sleeping. Boo. But all will be worth it. Just want the next 6 weeks to fly by so I can shout from the rooftops!! Congrats all x

junebaby2014 · 29/10/2013 23:10

Carmen hope all goes well ?? hope baby shows an appearance!!

Mrsfrederick! Wow congrats, so so exciting!
So jel you have had a scan!! I'm 8 weeks today, got my scan date finally today 2nd of december!! Still feels a lifetime away though i could cry. Hope baby is still in there.. ??

Thanks people! Was up all night think through worry and going to the toilet, one things for sure any morning sickness I get I will not be complaing about.

All the best to you all will report back in two weeks!

PaulaFletch14 · 30/10/2013 08:32

Almost 6 weeks pregnant, Grinwish I had more symptoms as starting to worry me. Only symptoms I'm having is slight nausea and extreme tiredness. Booking appointment next week. Feels like ages away.

Glitterclouds · 30/10/2013 14:59

I'm now 8 weeks 5 days and apart from 2 days of sickness and feeling tired I haven't had any symptoms. We've booked in for an early private scan this evening. Feeling very scared :S Have also been really poorly with a stinking cold all week and felt shaky and faint.
All the best to everyone!

Snobble · 30/10/2013 15:23

Be over the moon that you dont have sickness, its the worst. I first noticed due to sore breasts. I think the less symptoms the better.

Enjoy it! x

Riblet · 30/10/2013 15:31

Hi ladies, mind if I join in? I'm 7+3 with my first and have my booking appointment on Friday - exciting but scary! Had a few of the symptoms- at about 3 weeks (before I knew) I got the suddenly big, tender boobs but since we found out at 5 weeks that's been joined by nausea, tiredness and headaches and I can't even look at coffee any more! Sad Just hoping the sickness doesn't get any worse - has been bearable and managed to get through work each day (albeit by going to bed at about 6pm every night!) but last night involved a lot of vomiting so hoping that isn't the shape of things to come!

Good to read all your posts and looking forward to updates from everyone! Smile

MrsFrederick25 · 30/10/2013 16:03

Hi all,

I was so grateful to have had a scan, especially as I was so worried due to the bleeding. At least now I know that baby is how/where it should be! Although I am feeling pretty clueless having read recent posts...what is a booking appointment? I last saw my dr 4 weeks ago and all she did was take a test to confirm pregnancy, then told me to choose a hospital for 12 week scan and just wait to hear from them...I've heard nothing. Should I just continue to wait?

Riblet · 30/10/2013 16:19

Hi Mrs F,

The booking appointment is just the first one with the doctor or midwife where they confirm and get you into the system. Can't help with what happens after that I'm afraid as haven't had mine yet but if it's been 4 weeks maybe ring and check? Glad your scan went well Smile

MrsFrederick25 · 30/10/2013 16:46

Thank you so much Riblet, I will call and try to make an appointment just in case they've forgotten about me!

You lot are the next best thing to having a midwife on call 24/7! I am sooo aware of big changes in my body already, I cannot even begin to imagine how some women get through the first few months without even realising they are preggers! My boobs are GIGANTIC and the sickness is unbearable and I am SO bloated I look about 6 months gone already (eating like a beast!) OMG and had the most awful isomnia for the last few weeks (anyone else had this??) horrible but soooo exciting at the same time!!
