After 3 tests i accepted that we are having a baby.
It's still the early stages but i don't know what the hell is going on.
I haven't had any symptoms.. No sickness, breasts feel fine, i don't feel pregnant and have to wait another 6 weeks for my scan, i am going off my head.
I have put a stone on and bloated up around my belly.

Anyone at the same stage as me care to chat and discuss whats normal at this stage :)

Joining you in the 6 weeks club if that's OK!

I'm 6 weeks and 2 days. Going to join my local docs later (I moved a while back and haven't got round to registering yet), I'm hoping they'll do all the midwife referral of whatever they do, I've no idea, this is my first baby! Umming and ahhing about an early scan, as I am a bit worried something is going to go wrong and I really want to tell our parents this week but am scared incase something bad happens.

Been reading with interest about symptoms... over the past week the main thing for me has been period like cramps, but OH informs me my chest has got bigger (I'm already a H cup!!) and they are sore. The odd bit of nausea too, and I've gone off tea. I still can't quite believe I'm having a baby, how very grown up! (I'm 31!) x

VotePedroPony · 23/10/2013 10:40

Congrats everyone!! junebaby I think no spotting is just as normal as some spotting. I had some with previous pregnancy but none this time.

babysunshine gone off tea?!? Shock but where will you dunk your biscuits you poor thing?

babysunshine81 · 23/10/2013 11:08

I know!! I'm a proper tea lover, up to ten/fifteen cups a day, but it gradually tailed off, I just didn't fancy it, and that's one thing that made me do a pregnancy test! I haven't drank tea for about 2 weeks now. I have had to make do with dunking biscuits in hot chocolate, but it's not the same ;-)

Thanks for replying. Puts my mind at rest. :-)

Not surprised you're fed up, I was actually stunned my GP didn't ask me to do a pregnancy test.

Just found out about this forum, it's reassuring to read everyone's posts

Lvcat · 23/10/2013 15:46

I'm 6 weeks(ish) with my first and have the sore-est boobs ever, only one of my sisters old bras fits, I feel bloated and have started with morning sickness. Oh, and I'm constantly battling the exhaustion monster. DB is helping with some of the housework but with working full time as a waitress, trying to run the household and raise my very energetic 6 year old step son, I feel like I'm going to drop dead any moment.

Is anyone else feeling like a zombie yet?

junebaby2014 · 23/10/2013 16:22

Lvcat congrats Grin

Yesss i have had to take the last couple days off work as just feel physically drained and i am sleeping more than i ever have!!

DueinJune2014 · 23/10/2013 19:49

Hi all - I'm about 6 weeks as well. Only found out yesterday! It's my first baby so have no clue what to expect. Similar to you all have had sore boobs and started to feel sick today. Waiting for the midwife to call within the next few days!

AnnaBanana25 · 23/10/2013 20:00

Congrats Due in June!!

Lvcat and junebaby- good to know it's not just me. I've taken the afternoon off work and trying not to feel guilty about calling in sick if I need to.

Errrm, just wondering if I've done the right thing by booking in an appt with my gp? She has been helping us TTC over 2 years and thought it was the next step, but I read something that said gp's now don't really need you to book in an appt, you can just tell them on the phone?! Can anyone shed light on this? Ta. :-)

DueinJune2014 · 23/10/2013 20:05

I went to see my GP yesterday as I had no clue what to do. She was lovely and spoke to me - told me to just sit tight and carry on "cooking" until the mw contacts me! Hoping that won't be too long now.

junebaby2014 · 23/10/2013 20:13

Good news girls Smile

Yeah friend advised me not to bother going to the doctors they just send a letter away to get mw to phone you. Wish i'd just called mw myself my friend said i'd have known my scan date and stuff by now they tell you there and then on the phone and mw normally doesn't see you till after 12 week scan!

Hope scan goes well carmen keep us updated!

I've not had any spotting which i've heard is a good thing and no sickness so so far i'm doing alrite. I just have to deal with the lower back pain, eating for the five thousand and the bloating and extra weight gain Confused

I'm so glad I'm not alone!!
AnnaBannana- I just called my GP and told them on the phone then waited a week to get a "booking appointment" with mw and they took blood and gave me my folic acid and booked in a date for my 12 week scan.
I don't know if other GP's run it differently tho.

Lvcat · 24/10/2013 02:36

Also, Junebaby- eating for 5000, I feel you there. I want ALL the food in my mouth

carmen87 · 24/10/2013 07:57

Thanks will do, seems like a lifetime away yet! Was never this scared with my first born! Im still waiting to hear from mw got told she will come to see me around 8-9 weeks! But hopefully will see her sooner if everything goes ok next tues

Lvcat · 24/10/2013 10:52

Good luck! Hope it all goes well!

MrsCharlieD · 24/10/2013 21:00

Hi everyone I'm a six weeker too! Found out last Saturday and after 4 years of thinking we would be babyless, hubby and myself are thrilled. I haven't been to the doctors yet, mainly because it's easier to get an appointment with the Queen than get it my doctors, I'm booked in for Monday after waiting over a week for an appointment. I've had a bit of morning sickness but not every day but really sore boobs and stomach cramps that feel like period pain. no spotting yet. Does anyone else feel like this 42 weeks is never going to end? I've only know just under a week and I feel like time is standing still, I am so impatient. We're waiting for the 12 week mark until we go public, but we've told immediate family already. congratulations to all the new mummy to be's! x

junebaby2014 · 24/10/2013 22:00

Grin Congrats mrscharlied Grin

Don't worry you're not the only one, i've known for 3 weeks now and honestly feels like i've been pregnant for years!! Its dragging so much..
I'm phoning my mw tomorrow as been 3 weeks and still nothing so chase it up..
But looking at days my scan will be 1 week after my birthday perfect present Grin

Hi ladies. Congrats to all. We just found out this week, and other half is like a kid at Christmas.
Boobs are sore and I feel knack erred most of the time, but as a teacher that's quite normal!
Not had any spotting but last couple of days the queasiness has started and I keep burping all day, struggling to keep up excuses with work colleagues to try and brush it off.
Hoping this is 3rd time lucky as have previously had 2 MC, both around week 6/7 and this was out down to me having PCOS, but this time definitely feels different. Did the test Tuesday night, doctors app on Wednesday, and organised midwife today for 1st appointment on 13th Nov.
As you can tell I am getting this time organised ASAP to make sure it all goes ok. 38 now and had previously had fertility treatment over 6 years ago with my ex which failed, but now feeling really positive about this time around, as is my partner.
Good to tell someone, as like many of you I am DYING to tell everyone, but don't want to tempt fate just in case again.
Hugs and positive happy feelings to all us new Mums to be.

junebaby2014 · 24/10/2013 22:44

WaitingameGrinGrinGrin so happy for you and your partner MASSIVE congrats!!

Just take it easy and all will go swell!!

Keep us all updated.....

I can't keep any secrets!!! I've told everyone lol! 7 weeks 3 days today.. I have been an emotional wreck today though :'( blaming the hormones!
