Anyone bled but then had a healthy pregnancy?

Hello, posted on the miscarrige bit a few days ago but now im not so sure it is a miscarrige.

I started bleeding on Thursday at 5.3 weeks, it was bright red and slowly turned dark. I had a tiny bit of pain but not what I expected, it was less painful than period pains. I've stopped bleeding today. Im having a blood test tomorrow to see what's going on.

Is this a miscarrige then? I'll be 6 weeks pregnant tomorrow.

I had a miscarrige in July and it was nothing like this, I bled light pink n got horrifc pains and week after I started bleeding the baby passed and I carried on bleeding for nearly a month.

Has anyone else had this experience? Bled for 3 days with barely any pain and only one or two small clots. Has anyone else been through this but things have turned out well? Xxx

Yes, I had two bleeds during my last pregnancy. The first at about 6 -7 weeks and the second at about 21 weeks. My DS was born full term 7 lb 10 oz and healthy and well.

I really hope this pregnancy works out for you

I have had 4 mc, but am currently 38+wks pregnant and I had 3 early bleeds with this pregnancy, at 9wk, 10wks and 15wks.

Yes I had a massive bleed and was told in a&e that the baby had gone however I didn't take the tablets they gave me as I had a feeling inside me went for a eps and the baby was fine she is 3.5 now :-)

I bled at 7 weeks and am now 20 weeks with no other problems.

The nurses told me as long as the blood doesn't turn bright red and you don't get bad cramps you should be fine.

Yes, I bled for two days (with clots) early in my second pregnancy and it was fine.

Me too. I bled at 5 weeks (dark and some bright red) and then every day until about 9 weeks. It was implantation bleed. DS2 is now almost 3.
Good luck. I'm trying to get pregnant again for the third and will be going through all this angst again (if I am lucky) soon!
Was it heavy? If not and has stopped, then a good sign.

Tiny. That's awful! You should complain!

I bled with both of mine twice. Four weeks apart, like periods but lighter.

Yes, with ds1 I bled for a few days at about 5 weeks (before I knew I was pregnant and again at about 9 weeks, again for 2-3 days.

He finally arrived at 42+5 weighing 8lbs 12!

Yes, had a 3 day bleed at 8 weeks. All subsequently fine, healthy 9.5lb DS2 born at 42 weeks. Hope everything works out fine for you too xx

Yes - at 5 weeks, like a light period for 3 days. Thought it was implantation as didn't know I was pregnant. Turned out it wasn't - but all went well!

Yes, heavy enough bleed at 5 weeks to think it was my period and I must have been mistaken about being pregnant. So I bled fairly heavily for 3 or 4 days.

But a week or two after that I still didn't feel right and did a test. I was 7 weeks pg.

I had a lot of bleeding with my first and had 4 scans before my 12 week one, all was fine and he is now 5! With this one I had quite a big bleed and pain at 6 weeks and I really did think that was it but I'm now 22 weeks! Hope all is ok.

Sorry to hear about your July miscarriage sprinkle

I bled twice during my pregnancy.
Once for two days on and off at around 8 weeks. After an external examination they told us it was a hormonal bleed.
I then had a huge bleed at around 12 weeks, again this was put down to hormones.

Despite the bleeds had a otherwise healthy and successful pregnancy.

Yes I had a bleed in first pregnancy, similar to what you are describing. GP said it was an implantation bleed...the pregnancy continued without further incident. Hope all works out ok xx

Yes, I bled very similarly to yourself, about 5 weeks in with my second baby.
Was very unsettled by it, but it stopped after a few days, on and off. Couldn't scan until I got to 6 weeks.
All was well, he's now almost 13 weeks old and snoozing on my lap.

Both times around 7-8 weeks, DDs are 12 & 15

I bled every day from weeks 6-12, sometimes bright red, sometimes brown, but basically all the time. It was different to the miscarriages I've had in that I wasn't losing massive amounts of blood and wasn't in severe pain - although there was some pain. The pregnancy continued and my son is now a great strapping boy! I do hope that you get good news and that everything works out for you as well.

Yes, I bled at 6 & 8 weeks. DS is 10. I was terrified though, and GP sent me for scans straight away to let me know for sure. Hoping for the best for you.

Yes both times. Same week, 15 weeks.

The second time I got slight cramps, I was so worried at the time.

But it was ok. I hope you're ok.

Reading all of these has made me so hopeful! The bleeding was about as heavy as a period so not bad really. But its completely stopped now so that was 3 days of bleeding without awful pain.

Thank you all I feel so much better. I have a blood test tomorrow, I hope its good news.

I really hope the blood doesn't mean anything bad, it was nothing like when I miscarried.

My first pregnancy I had bleeding at 7 weeks. Brownish stuff, not very much and no bright red blood or cramps. Turned out I had MC at 5 weeks . DS I had implantation bleeding (bright red) and then more bright red blood and cramping at around 7-8 weeks. He's 2.5 now. DD I had bleeding again at about 8 weeks. Brownish then going to bright red. She's nearly 9 month old. Good luck OP!

I bled at 10 weeks, had sudden onset really bad pain but like a wind pain rather than a period pain and then dark bleeding like a period for 2 days. Had a scan the next day and the consultant said that if I hadn't told him then he wouldn't have know as he could see no reason for it. Ds will be 4 at Xmas.

Yep lots of small bleeds early on with my first and a more substantial bleed where I ended up in hospital for a couple of days at about 5 months. My son arrived fine and healthy a week early 7lbs 3oz, he turned 18 this year

I read your other thread. I've no experience of bleeding but after the year you have had I really hope this one works out for you.
