Hello, posted on the miscarrige bit a few days ago but now im not so sure it is a miscarrige.

I started bleeding on Thursday at 5.3 weeks, it was bright red and slowly turned dark. I had a tiny bit of pain but not what I expected, it was less painful than period pains. I've stopped bleeding today. Im having a blood test tomorrow to see what's going on.

Is this a miscarrige then? I'll be 6 weeks pregnant tomorrow.

I had a miscarrige in July and it was nothing like this, I bled light pink n got horrifc pains and week after I started bleeding the baby passed and I carried on bleeding for nearly a month.

Has anyone else had this experience? Bled for 3 days with barely any pain and only one or two small clots. Has anyone else been through this but things have turned out well? Xxx

I had bleeding, when I had scan at epau there was a small pocket under the baby where the implantation had bled and not come out strait away this was at 10 weeks now 27+2 and all good, also a friend of mine has had bleeding every month she is 2 week behind me and also doing well. fingers crossed its same for you op

I bled at 7 weeks, 10 weeks and again at 14 weeks. The bleeds at 7 and 10 weeks were short lived and typically old/dried blood but the bleed at 14 weeks was a big bleed of fresh red blood - and I'm talking soaked underwear, soaked tissues, sanitary towels and a toilet bowl full of blood!!

Thankfully the baby is fine and I'm now 16 weeks. I passed some more blood yesterday but it old/dried blood which I'm assuming it just residue form my big bleed a few weeks ago.

I'm currently signed off work until my 20 week scan as my midwife has queried whether there is a problem with my placenta which may be causing the bleeds - especially the fresh one I had.

The best of luck with your bloods, focus on the fact that you haven't been in any pain and stay positive x x

I bled every few weeks with my first pregnancy and had a healthy baby girl. This time I had a bleed at 8 weeks and another at about 16 weeks. Always get checked out however try not to worry.

imissredwine · 16/10/2013 14:32

Yes. Twice.
First time now have perfe ctly healthy 3 year old. Second time I am now 33 weeks in with no problems.

Both bleeds were red to reddish brown around the 6-8 week mark.

I had a urine test done on Monday that came back negative BUT I got a negative result in July then a blood test showed I was pregnant. And I didnt need a wee when I had to give the sample on Monday so it was literally a drop. So im not willing to go off just a wee sample, specially as I havnt passed anything yet. If I have miscarried its been completely different from July.

Im going to wait till the weekend and take a test then. Wish me luck ladies xx

Good luck sprinkle

I bled every day for weeks , sometimes old blood, sometimes clots the size of chocolate bars I was convinced nothing could have survived what was at times pouring out of me.

Dd is coming up to three soon.

I also bled for ten days straight in the early days if dd1. I thought it was my period I didn't know I was pregnant till weeks and weeks later. Dd1 was fine too.

SprinkleTwinkleMagic · 18/10/2013 20:04

Thank you Giles

Ive just done a pregnancy test and it came up positive straight away. I rang up EPU and she said "somtimes if you leave a test too long it can lesve a mark, do you think that's what's happened here?" Id said I didnt as Ive literally just took it and it came up positive straight away! She wasn't very helpfull and told me to make an appointment with my gp

I don't know whether im coming ot going, am I pregnant or am I not! Its absolutely bonkers!

I do think I am but I dont want to get my hopes up xx

Yes, I bled a lot during sex at what must've been about 5 weeks. Didn't even realise I was pregnant at the time, went to get it checked out and dr said pregnancy can cause that! It was bright red blood, lots of it with clots, and it carried on spotting for a few days afterward. Dd now 3 & 2 months.

Pancakeflipper · 18/10/2013 20:12

Oh Sprinkle - how frustrating. Hope you get positive news very soon.

I bled during both pregnancies. With DS2 I bled on and off all the way through. I used to dread going to the loo.

Lots of luck xxxxxxx

SprinkleTwinkleMagic · 19/10/2013 04:36

Thank you, Im going to give it another week and take another test. I dont want to waste my time with the gp, booked myself in for a blood test last Monday and shed said a urine sample would be suffice.

Im going to try and leave it till next week. If I am pregnant I'll be 7.5 then and it should come up instantly again. If it does im going to ring epu and get an early scan.

Thank you! I said to my partner I wasn't convinced. Just gonna hve to see how it goes next week xxx

Hi OP - just to let you know I miscarried before each successful pregnancy, and bleed through each too. I'm Rhesus neg, so spent entirety of both pregnancies have blood tests and anti-D injections. Ow. Now have two lovely boys though

I would say get it checked out though. Early pregnancy assessment centre should give you a scan (referral from our GP happened same or next day for us, for each if the four pregnancies). It's what they're there for SMS ours were v sympathetic knowing our history.

Good luck! X

(Sorry, missed your last post...)

Sooo glad I stumbled across this thread. Am 13+5, and have been bleeding approx every other day for past month. Mostly old/dark blood, but 1x red with large clot. Been to EPC 7 times in 4 weeks, off sick/working from home a lot (just cos the bleeding is a flood each time, through thick pads and clothes).

Bleeding seems to be due to small separation of sac from wall, and baby is always fine. But still getting me down. Good to see stories of happy endings!

SprinkleTwinkleMagic · 22/10/2013 06:54

Just thought I'd update:

Took a test on Friday, It was positive. Took a test on Saturday, that was positive too. Took a test on Sunday, which was negative. Took a test on Monday and it was positive.

Yesterday I just couldn't take the wondering anymore. Am I pregnant? Am I not pregnant? So my partner rang up and told epu what was going on, they wernt very helpful at first but my partner managed to get them to give me a scan this afternoon!

Ive took another test today and its come up faintly positive. Im so worried now that im going to get there and their going to be nothing, and their going to tell me ive got it all terribly wrong. As stupid as it sounds I feel like im in trouble!?

That being said their not going to be horrible if im not pregnant are they? Im just working myself up about it.

Its been exhausting these past 4/5 weeks. I really hope theres someone there today, im so worried now. What if ive got it terribly wrong. But just looked at test again, its a bit darker but not much. Both lines are pinky aswell n if it was an evaporation line ot wouldn't be pink would it?

I bet I sound bonkers dont I!!

Wish me luck people, id love to see a mini sprinkle today x x

I had this, exactly the same as you describe. Midwife said don't worry unless painful and lots fresh blood. Even so I was convinced that that was it. 4 month old dd now lying next to me farting in her sleep.

BusyCee · 22/10/2013 12:25

Good luck Sprinkle...

Pancakeflipper · 22/10/2013 14:09

You won't be in any trouble. It's the only way for clarification. Hope things go well for you.
