Punctual first born babies?

So just a general enquiry really... I'm currently 35w with my first and feeling like It may come early! No real grounds for this other than plenty of BH etc... I think most first time mums often feel this way?
However google seems indicate that most first born's are late...
Did anyone on here have an early first child or even a due date baby? Grin

DS1 born at 39 weeks exactly.
DS2 born at 39 weeks exactly.
Both weighed exactly the same. Clearly we have a pattern Smile

Also, my brother (mum's first) was born on his due date, I was 3 weeks early (second baby).

DS was born 6 days late. I had been having Brixton hicks contractions (mine were completely painless, just my bump kept going rock hard for a few minutes then relaxing again) for about 4/5 days before he was born. Labour was 5.5 hours and he was 9lbs 1oz, so glad he didn't wait any longer to be born :) good luck Flowers

DD was born 38+5 and I'd felt all the way through she might be early! I had an irritable uterus and lots of BH.
My waters broke at 38+4 and they induced me the following morning due to lack of progress.

DS was a day early.

I have 2 friends whose firsts both came 3 weeks early, one if those literally the day she started mat leave. She finished work at 5pm & had the baby overnight.

I assumed DS1 would be late, but he arrived at 39 weeks.
However, when pregnant with DS2 my cervix was found to be very short (from surgery pre-children) which was almost certainly the reason. I wouldn't wish the resulting worry and stress on anyone!

I think it's probably best to assume they'll be late - that way you're less likely to be disappointed and can only be plsmile]

She was due the weds and was born just after midnight on the sun, so 4 days late (just). She did fly out though, i had no BH and she was born in her waters.
