Buzzybee123 · 13/08/2013 19:25

Hi everyone,

This thread is for all you incessant worriers out there, not necessarily limited to IVF-ers, although I get the feeling the people who have had trouble TTC are more prone to worrying than others!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Nokkie73 · 13/09/2013 10:49

Heehee crisps at the image of you in your Liam Gallagher coat. I tell you this for nowt, if they don't have a VERY wide selection of potato and maize based snacks at this christening, I'm leaving. No cheesy poofs = no Noks. If they go all middle class on my ass and only put out Kettle Chips or something like that, I shall have some sort of tantrum.

How are you feeling now ? A bit better ? What did Mr Teaco bring you by way of salvation yesterday ? Give me my fix of snack porn please. I am at work and am VERY bored indeed.

Shazzamattazzerly · 13/09/2013 11:15

Girls I'm laughing out loud!

Crisps you are watching Geordie Shore at 9.35 am?!!! I'll join you with the Liamesque swagger in my kagool. We can go around calling folk 'our kid'.

Nokkity noks I'm sorry the christening situ has upset you this much. I completely understand but I promise you it isn't worth it though. Get yourself a lovely preggo dress and look fabulous on the day. Have lots of tissues incase you have to sneak off like I did. Also have you spoken to DP about how you feel? I'm really glad that I did in the end even though it was hard to admit that I was jealous of my little brother and hurt by the rejection because he supported me on the day. Good parka purchase. Great thought re after birth belting. Hopefully DP will get more into in once classes start. I hope that he does cause it is fun planning things together.

Mariana I also darn socks and am crocheting a cardy (that last bit is true!) Do you think that I could rent myself out as a wet nurse for extra cash or is that abit too far? Wink

Good luck Buzz. Be sure to report back.

How is everyone else getting on?

Dildals any news of our beauty?

Keep how is your back? Where have you got to in NCT?

Expat, news from the baby bubble?

Ceara how are you feeling now sweetheart?

Sweetie How are the twinnies getting on? I'm impressed that you have a selection of pillows!

Fairy Only 10 days to go now! Do you see the same MW at each appt? Is she the one who will attend your home birth? Are you planning water, gas and air and TENS? I"m trying not to get nervous.

Mrs H I'm not even going to worry about how you are getting on!! i'm sure you and the Rooney's have swapped numbers and are now facebook friends Grin

Gin See you tomorrow. We are talking about birth in class. I wonder if we will have to watch a film!

Motor you are quiet. How are you feeling?

I hope I haven't missed anyone.

I'm 'working' from home so will be around all day!

Shaz xx

keepitgoing · 13/09/2013 11:32

I'm obsessed with buttery hot x buns....

noks noone I know has ever asked a couple to be godparents, I wouldn't be offended at all tbh. Anyway, she's a cow face, so don't give a shit. The nipper will be way cuter anyway, so you'll be laughing!

I don't think I'll get a coat. Only have till end of nov... I've not worn a coat in 18 months!! Maybe I've forgotten what winter is like...

Shazzamattazzerly · 13/09/2013 11:57

ooo hot cross buns....yummy. They are up there with crumpets and I haven't had either since before Christmas when I started this bloody gluten free business.

Noks we cross posted. Cheesy 'poofs'? Is that Northern for puffs or are some members of DPs family corny homosexuals?

SweetieTime · 13/09/2013 12:43

I have been lured in with talk of baked goods. As well as Haribos I love hot cross buns and crumpets. In fact I bought a pack of butter scones the other day, I wouldn't normally as DH hates sultanas & currants, and ate the lot myself. Not in one day I hasten to add, but I had one each day. The small pleasure of being pregnant and eating for 3

Shazza I am working from home too which basically consists of me and a colleague swapping links to Rightmove houses we would like to live in if we could afford to. I am obsessed with looking around other peoples houses.
Have you seen the baby turtle outfit you can crochet? I have asked my Mum to stop faffing around with proper sensible baby cardigans and make me a couple of turtle outfits. here is the image

Noks I hope you get bacon frazzles and chip sticks to compliments cheesy poofs. Did you know upmarket cheesy poofs are now available in M&S, not like ordinary cheesy poofs - of course.

Crisps my colleague helpfully told me I have a waddle going on now too, maybe if I got a Liam Gallagher parka it would fit in with the waddle walk. How come women waddle but men swagger???

keepitgoing · 13/09/2013 12:49

sweetie how do you plan to dress the boy girl twins? Matching? Pink and blue same style? Different? Oh god they'll be so cute.

I am working from home too, but think I'll just do a half day. Oh wait, that's now!

I don't think I could live gluten free. Carbs are my fave.

putthecrispsDOWN · 13/09/2013 12:53

shazza I didn't realise you were a glutenite....(I am also a wheat freak, have been for about ten years now). Big tescos have crumpets sometimes, and you can get warburtons spiced fruit loaf (gf) in most big supermarkets which is like a bread version of hot x buns. They do awesome finest gf biscuits in tesco now too, although DH does well not to raise an eyebrow when I eat a whole pack (£2!!!!) in one go. Corny homosexuals, ha. You have to love wotsits. At DDs parties I do the whole houmous and vegetables thing and then give them loads of wotsits too. They are literally snack crack for threenagers and pregnant people.

noks Mr Tesco was slightly baffled by the stripy socks, council estate leggings, green cardi and purple t shirt combo (I kind of dressed like this accidentally) before dropping off salt and vinegar twirls which have now been accidentally eaten. Just had the best bacon sarnie ever too, yum.

Geordie shore...yes, unfortunately. I kind of love it though, although after a full days viewing I am developing a slight Geordie accent. I love how they type the subtitles phonetically and I now know what flanter, mortal and tash on mean!

My headteacher called this morning and basically said don't come back to work please, you look too ill when you are here and I'm worried about you. Which is lovely, but I"'ll have to see what Mrs consultant lady says on Tuesday. Still having palpitations and lots of b hicks even when sat down but I do feel miles better for not being in an office thinking about clever complicated things at 7.30 each morning.

Nokkie73 · 13/09/2013 13:53

Oh crisps talking about leggings, Look of the New have really great leggings in. They are two for fifteen whole pounds. I shall be purchasing some more of them this very weekend. DP calls me 'dumpling', which is extremely irritating. Still, hopefully after tonights 'words' mild hysteria and violence I won't be able to decipher that word when he's eating his food through a straw, so i am hoping it will annoy me much less than it does at the moment. I really haven't been that hormonal throughout this pregnancy so I reckon he's due some irrational, mind bending, head fracking weird shit from yours truly.

shazza cheesy poofs are Cartman's snack of choice from South Park. They are basically the dirtiest sort of maize snack you can get. They have absolutely NO goodness in them whatsoever. Put it this way, if I could freebase cheesy poofs all day, I would. My evil twin has been known to pop a couple on a metal spoon, light the spoon from underneath and inject the contents directly into my main vein. Unfortunately (and rather disappointingly) they are not those of the tight t-shirt wearing persuasion who have a penchant for fromage. I may speak to DP about the christening but seeing as I want to give him a really big Chinese burn right now and tread on his big toe with my high heeled shoe, I doubt I'd make much sense. The thing is, I don't want to come across as a whiny fucker which I know I am being or mad which today you CLEARLY are so I think I will speak to him about it when things calm down a bit. Maybe.

keep you saucy moo. I now want hot cross buns dripping with buttery goodness. Mmmmmmmmmmmm, buns.

sweetie you are absolutely right - the cheesy poofs from M&S are second to none. If you team a large bag of those with Percy Pig or any of his extended family and friends, you have what I think is called 'dinner'.

I hate working. It sucks big bad cockage.

Noks xx

Shazzamattazzerly · 13/09/2013 14:16

Oh my God I love you girls. I'm crying.

I'm post lunch, have put the radio on and quite frankly have slacked off. I'm sending my boss emails every now and then so that he thinks I' actually working but I think I'm going to attempt to paint my nails in a bit.

Noks, oh dear 'not so DP' isn't doing so favourably at the moment is he? don't be too hard on him. He is going to need his feet to be able to take you to Kiddicare. so Cheesy Poofs aren't one of your protein portions? Damn it!

(Oh genius, Steve Wright is playing Thriller. I want to jump up and do the zombie dance...)

Thanks for the gluten free tips Crisps. The fruit loaf sounds perfect. I'm going to look out for it. I make my own biscuits and pretend they are healthy. Hurrah for your head teacher. Sounds like a solid bloke. I'm assuming its a man. Sexist Shazza.

Sweetie, the turtle is hilarious! There are hundreds of cute patterns on Ravelry all for free. Check them out.

'scuse me while I pause to sing along to the rapping bit......

MarianaTrench · 13/09/2013 15:08

Argh. I want a turtle baby but she's too big now.

Also. Two words: Onion rings.

MarianaTrench · 13/09/2013 15:12

DH once described me as sitting on the sofa 'drinking cooking lager and eating radioactive packaging material. That was a can of Carlsberg and a bag of cheese puffs.

Shazzamattazzerly · 13/09/2013 15:37

Nice One Mariana! If we are confessing deviant snack behaviour, I'm quite partial to a prawn cocktail skip. I've never eaten so many crisps as I have in the last 7 months and she wonders why she has put on 12 kgs

SweetieTime · 13/09/2013 15:52

Shazza I found a pattern for turtles so I have sent it onto my Mum, not sure she will be able to work a Hyperlink so I might print it out too. I also found a couple of knitted baby hats that she is going to do too. I was fearful she might do bonnets if let unguided.

You lot have driven me to it, I am off on a corn snacks run. I love skips too and scampi fries - not sure if you can still get them. I might be gone a while, please send a search party if not back before Sunday.

Nokkie73 · 13/09/2013 16:06

mariana you dirty, dirty beeatch. Onion rings are pure filf. I didn't think is possible but you really have gone up in my estimation. That vision of you on the sofa is just poetic. What were you wearing at the time pervert

shazza 'darkness falls across the land'.....

sweetie grab me a bag of onion rings and a can of lager please.

Ginestas · 13/09/2013 16:24

Ice cream Mars's and cheesecake, quite often one after the other are being scoffed in the Gin household. And crisps of course. Mr G complains that when he goes to the supermarche, he looks like he's feeding a huge chav family, when in fact the super size family packs of junk food are all mine.

Loving the idea of the waddle swagger Grin and looking like a preggo Liam or even better, Ian Brown.

Am going to waddle down to get myself some finest Primani, I think.

Shazzamattazzerly · 13/09/2013 16:27

...The midnight hour is close at hand....

Do you think it is ok to put Thriller on Shazlett's sing-a-long-a-song playlist? I have reconfirmed that I know all the words. And I struggle with Hush Little Baby to be honest. I could put in on along with Wham Rap and Young Guns which also form part of my repetoire. Steve Wright went on to play Kids in America. Bloody 80's gold.

Sweetie, hang on I'm going to grab my kagool and come with......

Shazzamattazzerly · 13/09/2013 16:39

Gin Mr Shazz would probably ask me to chop up the mars bar icecream to put on top of the cheesecake.

Please tell me that Mr Gin puts those frozen mini pizzas (the properly cheap ones) in his chavesque shopping trollley.

Sweetie do you knit yourself? I didn't like knitting but I have got into crochet. If you join Ravelry let me know and we can be yarn buddies. (Noks do you remember eons ago when you were looking for yam shops in Surrey and I thought that you were looking for yarn shops!). My mum also knits like a maniac. She knitted an entire Nativity scene for DN1 last Christmas I'll send you a picture one day. It's hilarious. It is even complete with donkeys and sheep. I bought her 'knit yourself a fairytale castle' for her birthday. Shazlett will also be kitted out in home knitted gear. A bonnet may well be on its way, even 'she' is a 'he'.

Sweetie I reckon we should stop by Iceland. I feel able to go there legitimately now that I'm a mum, well almost.

fairypangolin · 13/09/2013 16:47

Gosh are you guys demob happy or something this afternoon?

crisps what are 'council estate leggings'? I am afraid I may be wearing them right now.

noks i can understand your pique. The whole godparents thing always seems a bit antiquated to me but I still would be hurt if someone wanted DH to be godfather but not me. Besides, aren't the godparents supposed to take the kid if both parents die? How would that work if you're not a couple in the first place?

I love how cheezy puffs melt on your tongue.

shazza i'm planning on having the pool and gas & air but I'm not bothering with a TENS machine this time. I borrowed one with DS and it didn't really make that much difference. And you will only be doing Shazlett a great favour by acquainting her with the finest of 80s pop. After all, I was raised listening to Pink Floyd and Cat Stevens thanks to my dad and am forever grateful.

mariana your DH cooks with lager? and more specifically, with Carlsberg?

sweetie I am not sure if it is a waddle but I have started walking very slowly and leaning backwards to compensate for my gargantuan belly. I doubt it would have got me into the Hacienda circa 1990.

expat hope all is well with you and baby expat - my star shaped fuzzy pram blanket just arrived from Tuppence & Crumble so thanks for that recommendation and thanks to shazza for the discount code!

SweetieTime · 13/09/2013 17:07

I am back with THE best snacks. I ventured as far as M&S food so hardly slumming it but it is genuinely the nearest food place to our house. I got cheesy poofs, salt & vinegar twists, chips sticks, onion rings, giant choc buttons and some other choc things that was on 2 for 1. Randomly I also got some fondant fancies as I saw an advert on TV the other night and they have stuck in my head. I am not sure I have ever had a fondant fancy before but now I have 8 of the blighters to work my way through. I also fought my way through the hoards for a meal deal for £10 although almost forgot the wine. How quickly we forget, never enters my head to look at booze now.

Shazza I don't knit myself, apparently being left handed my Mum said I was too hard to teach as a child. Last year my Mum knitted a range of Olympians which she entered into the village harvest festival show. I could share the photos too.
Grin at the confusion over yarn vs yam shops.

Nokkie73 · 13/09/2013 17:33

I could just explode now. DAngryP has just called to say 'oh I'll be having that meal from M&S which is in the fridge for my dinner'.

How fucking marvellous for you. I hope the two of you will be very happy together. Don't you worry about the fact you've been sat at home on your arse all day while I've been at work. I'll get my own dinner. Seriously, he's cruising for such a bruising today. By the time I'm done, there's a good chance he will look like an extra from the Thriller video.

Buzzybee123 · 13/09/2013 17:37

Hey ladies I'm back, thanks for all the good wishes

it was the fasted anomaly scan in the badland Hmm 20 minutes from start to finish with paperwork all in check, I had to ask her to check downstairs that it is indeed a girl especially after my ebay purchase of pink items. Have to say the sheer relief of seeing the heartbeat nearly made me cry but I managed to keep my shit together. So all the sonographer said was she was 'normal' clearly not my child then Grin

After that we went to Ikea, and now have a longer list of things for next time I go, poor Barry is having a nap after it all

niknoks I do love cheesy poofs too, I also like cheese and crisps, in fact anything with cheese, I've had a thing for Doritos where I was eating a family bag a day. Best to tell him how you feel,

sweetie* I am knitting a hat called the 'tea bag' for minibee,I do like a bit of property porn, its interesting to see how other people have trashed and devalued their homes :)

crisps how far along are you, as long as it doesn't mess with your mat leave take the time off and look after yourself

fairy I don't think godparents take the kids, you have to chose a legal guardian for your kids if something should happen to you, I have always thought godparents were just there to help guide kids with stuff when growing up, I don't really think they do stuff, well mine never did Hmm

shazza I can knit but I struggle with crocheting I'm too cack handed, I love Ravelry its great for patterns. Next week I'm going to get my baby box out of MIL's loft which has some of my old soft toys and the baby stuff I knitted for my lost babies so I can see how many hats and booties I have. Perhaps I should knit more practical things now :) or try and crochet a banket

keepitgoing · 13/09/2013 17:37

Not. On. Eat it and leave him nothing.

MarianaTrench · 13/09/2013 19:18

Buzzy hurrah hurrah for your scan!

shazza oh yes to wet nursing. Urgh, imagine feeding a load of random bairns. (It's bad enough with your own.)

He said 'cooking' lager to imply it was cheap low quality lager, as in cooking sherry. He only drinks hand made real ales. The ponce.

I am also left handed but knit, a bit. I sew a bit too. I also have a tapestry on the go (like the Bayeaux one). I haven't tried crochet yet. I love these mothers knitting Olympians and nativities. My grandmam knitted 100s of Easter chick egg cosies the other year for a charity thing. When I went to see her I thought she'd gone nuts as there were knitted chicks everywhere.

Oh the fishy goodness of scampi fries. I need to find an old mans boozer to score some from. Also pork scratchings. I'm going to have a ball in Sainsburys snacks aisle tomorrow. I'll have to eat them all in the car on the way home so that DH doesn't see. He draws a line at mini cheddars.

noks I was almost certainly wearing mismatched pyjamas and bed sock. And a big furry dressing gown like something of Sesame Street. It has to be said that I'm a very glamorous woman...

Ha at yams. I have a similar problem with burn and bum in some fonts.

MarianaTrench · 13/09/2013 19:21

I want to change my name to OnionRing.

Buzzybee123 · 13/09/2013 19:29

noks I'd eat it, what a fecking cheek

mariana go on change it Wink
