Well, still here! Not sure what's going on if my waters have broken or not as leaking a lot of fluid, sorry TMI. No pain what so ever, 41 wks today. Rang the hospital and they are sending a community midwife out to see me and if it is my waters and I don't go into labour naturally in the next 24 hrs they will book me in to be induced at 8am tomorrow morning. Thing is I don't know when the midwife is coming so I feel all tense, worried etc. wait and see ....... Good luck ladies, it's got to happen at some point!! :)

Rollermum · 03/09/2013 11:16

Thanks Tiredemma good to know - I'm hoping that's the case with me.

Good luck Queazy - sounds v frustrating.

Rollermum · 03/09/2013 11:23

Kitkat - poor you - hope second sweep works. Just out of interest, do they do that in hospital?

Kkklll hope midwife turns up soon.

tiggerishtom · 03/09/2013 11:39

I am 41+ 2 I had a sweep yesterday then a show and period type pains a bit last night...but so far today nothing more than some pinkish brown discharge.

It's my first so no idea if things are kicking off or not???

Kkklll · 03/09/2013 12:01

First here too, no idea! Lol

LadyFlumpalot · 03/09/2013 12:22

Argh! 38 weeks today. Been in pain for abouf a week now. Pretty much just constant period pain that sometimes turns into contractions.

Pretty much ready to just swig back a bottle of whiskey and give myself a C Section.

So effing fed up.

P.S - been having lots of discharge - like thick snot in consistency and in lumps. Is that bits of plug?

Kitkatinatin · 03/09/2013 12:27

roller yes they can do sweep at hospital. They were really nice so not a problem and good in a way yo see where it will all happen (if that time ever comes!)

tigger thats what happened to me too but faded away rather than progressing. Hope today's is more productive!

Gerty1002 · 03/09/2013 13:55

Good luck to everyone having niggles!

Nothing much happening here except some crazy nesting, just spent two hours scrubbing the en suite top to bottom! Now sitting here waiting for baby to move - hopefully I've just been to active to notice him. Dont fancy going in for monitoring yet again, he always makes a liar out of me by doing to can-can as soon as the monitors are on! Which of course I don't mind at all but am sure the midwives think I'm paranoid.

Kkklll · 03/09/2013 14:11

Well, the midwife has just been and she is pretty sure my waters have gone so booked in for induction tomorrow. She has prepared me for it to be a long process :( unless I go into labour before then. Not a single twinge!!

Tiredemma · 03/09/2013 14:37

Kkklll my waters broke with ds2 and I had to be induced (at 37+1). I was induced at 1pm and had ds2 at 8.30pm.

Good luck x

tiggerishtom · 03/09/2013 14:54

Good luck kkkIII!

Kkklll · 03/09/2013 15:04

Ooo thanks, that sounds ok!! :) Bit of a strange feeling knowing that tomorrow it will be all systems go!! Actually might have a baby!! Lol

Rollermum · 03/09/2013 15:20

Good luck Kkklll my sister had that twice - waters went but no contractions so was induced. She was told it would be slow but it was not! So much so her DH practically had to deliver her second son even though they were in hospital.

Queazy · 03/09/2013 15:45

Oh best of luck tomorrow KKKLL!! I've heard it can happen very quickly too. Let us know your news (when you get a chance obviously!). How exciting Smile

Kitkatinatin · 03/09/2013 15:49

good luck kkklll!

Kitkatinatin · 03/09/2013 15:51

Queazy how are you doing today? hope you're in a better place?

Queazy · 03/09/2013 16:51

Hi Kitkat, I'm ok thank u - barely moved today as knackered Smile How's your day been?

I had contractions this morning that stopped after 3hrs, which got my hopes up a bit. The baby is still doing well and isn't massive for its dates tho, which are two big, big pluses! Just dreading Thurs and the whole medical intervention shenanigans, but at least the end is in sight Smile I've stopped blaming my poor unborn child tho...think I was feeling particularly hormonal y'day!!!!!

Kitkatinatin · 03/09/2013 17:28

good glad you are feeling better. there's still time til thurs too.

I had another sweep. had crampy contractions since then but then fell asleep and they've all gone away. induction booked for friday.

Mummytomilo27 · 03/09/2013 20:36

Im due tomorrow and had tightenings over top of my bump and also period like pains, but nothing extreme :( had them for few days now though! What does everyone think?

Breadrollsbuns · 03/09/2013 20:51

Hi mummytomilo27, I'm in exactly the same position as you - 40 weeks tomorrow and same kind of aches and pains. I have no idea what it means but would love to know how you get on as I'm convinced that my little monkey's going to be late like his brother was!

Mummytomilo27 · 03/09/2013 20:57

Oh thank god someone can relate haha the backpain is the worst! Was convinced i wasnt gonna last till my due date as ive had alot of "signs" but still no baby :( hope it comes quicker for you.

cakebaby · 03/09/2013 22:29

Hi ladies, he's here, DS1 8LB 4 born at 0059 this morning crash CS. Not posting here about it, suffice to say he is adorable and we are both OK. Will be reverting to august babies ante natal thread. Good luck everyone!

Gerty1002 · 03/09/2013 22:44

Congratulations cakebaby! Glad you are both ok.

Just back from delivery suite - had regular and painful contractions yet agaon after DTD, but were more painful this time so decided to go in. Am in latent phase and currently 2-3cm dilated, so hopefully don't have more than a few days to wait, hopefully even less!

Was actually a little relieved to be given a sweep and sent off with codeine as the ward was manic and they were having to transfer some women out! So I'll happily wait until a calmer time :) though the sweep has ramped up the contractions a tad!

Gerty1002 · 04/09/2013 06:45

Well I finally had a bloody show at 2:30am after my impromptu sweep last night - after which my contractions seem to have halted completely!
Terrible night sleep so going to alternate between being active and resting today in the hope that things start up again. Come onnnn baby :)

Queazy · 04/09/2013 07:39

Congrats cakebaby - fantastic news!!

Gerty, hope you get some naps in today. It's really tough being awake most of the night, especially when you're hoping to just give birth. I don't have any contractions at all now. Had a very spicy thai curry last night and still no sign...just have a stomach ache and feel sick from it! Once again, baby seems to love a curry, whilst I suffer afterwards.... Smile

Really hope something happens by tomorrow, and for all you ladies too
