What's the secret weapon that helped you get pg?

Ok folks, I'm sure it's been done before but I'd like to compile a list of all the magic potions, herbal teas, old wives tales and secret places you've used to get pregnant or you've heard of so that my friends and I over on conception can come and join you over here!

No skimping on the details please and thank you in advance! Grin

agree with others that say they elevated their hips afterwards. Worked first month for me. Just get your hips up for about 20 mins afterwards (not too high but quite high), and jiggle a bit. I also squeezed a bit, as if trying to squeeze in the sperm.

This was my mum's advice and it worked first time for her too.. you can but give it a go!

Also did it on the 2 'prime' days...

Actually the hips up thing did it for me the first month as well. I made sure I had an orgasm after dp did as well (seemed like the contractions would suck everything up to the right place IYSWIM Blush)

Thanks everyone! I've mentioned this thread over on conception so I hope it's not just me who's off to Holland and Barrett! V. interesting about the breastfeeding article. If you don't hear from me for a while I'll have been arrested for sitting too close to someone in the shopping centre!

trying very hard not to, drinking copious amounts to lower my fertility and dh's sperm count and using condoms. Works a bloody treat.

Assuming that DP had massacred his sperm with years of alcohol, drugs, nicotine and mobile phone rays. More fool me. Should have put him in tight pants as well.

stopped trying, wasn't sure I wanted to carry on after a m/c and starting infertility testings - had a dye x ray thingy - found v v uncomfortable, anyhow, it was the final of doctor who and DH got pounced on - literally 3 times in one month - not much compared to our every day b4! anyhow end result was Joey! :o

Vodka and redbull had a hand with DD and was the first time we ever made love.

DP has quite insistent sperm as I managed to get pregnant with DS even when I had the coil fitted!

So with both haven't had much trouble at all.

Did anyone try preseed? Is it worth buying if we don't bother with a lubricant Blush in the first place?

And stepping away from the thermometer for a month when I was starting to stress about temping/not getting pg.

Dr did suggest that it wouldn't kill me to cut back on caffeine - as in, you never know, it might make a difference...

What worked for us (didn't do it on purpose, but both times it happened we got pg (one m/c, one ds) which hasn't happened any other time) was dh working away from home so that we didn't have any sex all cycle until the day of ovulation. Any cycles we had even moderately frequent sex we had no luck whatsoever. That may imply that we have slight male factor issues, I guess.

Boots do a 75mg dispersible aspirin, which is own brand, dirt cheap and definitely worked for me (currently 27 weeks after miscarriages and problems).

I live in aus so we do not have a boots store. I assume it is something like a woolworths or coles?

Is aspro clear the same thing? When should you take it?
