myrtle, I'm so sorry, that's really sad news. I hope you have lots of real life hugs from everyone around you as take care of yourself.

omri will be thinking of you for 11.15 with all fingers tightly crossed. I know exactly what you mean about DP being philosophical and it driving you crazy - mine is exactly the same, and it also drives me potty- but you're right, if he was an emotional wreck then that would be even worse. I think men adopt 'rock' pose for these kind of scenarios.

motorcycle and rainbow I've been having the exact same non-tender boob worry! Ridiculous what we can get hung up on. Mine have been a bit tingly but that's kind of it and I think they haven't grown as much as they did last time - though maybe I'm misremembering what they were like at 5 weeks, it's v early days still. Taking comfort in the fact I do have The Hunger.

motorcycle 21 August isn't too far away! We can wait together...once you've had that scan it'll be a week to go until my 8 week scan when I get to find out if this one's a goer or not. Stopping temping has actually been surprisingly easy and has made me feel slightly less obsessive (and sleeping better too!)

My boobs were agony with my MMC and not much at all with subsequent pregnancies so try not to read too much into it, easier said than done I know

motorcycle I watched his MTV unplugged as I was going up to big school and have been a fan ever since I've seen him quite a few times now and this is the best he has been! Dunno if it's cos he's with crazy horse but his energy was amazing, much angrier than on the CD ha ha Can't wait for next weekend

motor glad to hear the midwife has reassured you and there's no more worrying discharge! I think sore boobs come and go - there's always something to fret over, isn't there? The David Bowie exhibition was brilliant and I think DD enjoyed it for the most part - she wasn't whiny or anything but quite excited so she wanted to sing and touch everything

Ladies, can I ask those who are ahead of me (so that would be anda and gary if I'm not mistaken) if you had the whooping cough and flu vaccinations done? And the rest of you, are you thinking of having them? I'm scheduled to have the whooping cough one tomorrow; I've had no qualms about doing it up until today....not sure what's got into me, all of sudden I'm wondering if it's the right thing to do

Pentagon I asked the same a while back and everyone seemed to be doing it or had done it. Have you read or heard something about side effects? I'd be interested to know

Anda not heard from you for a few days (however wouldn't be surprised if you posted yesterday and my baby brain had blanked it!), are you enjoying your mat leave? When's your next scan/appt to decide on birthing plan?

Hey pentagon, I am due to get the jab at my 28wk appointment. There was a thread on here that I read through the other day and most people say they'd gone for it I think.

Pentagon, had them both. Had the flu jab with my mc pg, but because they were one after another I didn't need it in this one.
My whopping cough one was very itchy, sore & red for about a week after, the redness only went down mid July & I had the jab 31st May (wasn't bright red, but because I'm so pale you could see where I had the jab)....I'd rather have the annoyance of an itchy arm than an ill baby!

I'll be having the whooping cough jab if still offered when I get to that stage. Had flu jabs and swine flu jabs when pg with my two. Think the benefits outweigh any risk that may be there.

Yes where is anda? Did he mention any mini breaks since start of her mat leave?

So sorted out my holidays so that can put back my mat leave today. I will now be going at 34 weeks instead of the I initial 36 I originally said including the holidays I have booked. I think being told i had a big baby gave me the gumption. ( and justification to myself) to do it! Feel such a sense of relief now!
Going to plan lots of things to occupy me so I don't get bored like the online photography course I bought then never got round to doing.
have also booked in for an antenatal yoga/ breathing class which starts next week called daisybirthing. Anyone heard of this or doing one?

I had the flu jab when PG with DS and will definitely have it again, proper flu can be very serious and fatal to unborn babies

I'll also have the whooping cough, think it's brilliant they are offering that now.
