New thread ladies!

Happy birthday for tomorrow Bod sounds like you have a lovely day lined up!
DH is looking after DS tomorrow so I can go for a trip into York and a mooch round the shops. First stop will be a child free latte in Betty's!

Anda -congrats on your mat leave. Sounds like a lovely send off xxx

Pink- i am not really getting pains in my hips - do you actually mean in the hip joint. Just under bump for me . i wouldn't worry about hurting baby. they are fine in there. Its us they are blimminwell hurting!

Bump I am not entirely sure when third trim starts either! probably should know that one. Laughing at your nesting - am sure baby DD lover having a clean garage floor x

So to cheer myself up today I bought my changing bag today. It is a storksac sophia in cream. It was half price in John lewis - still pricey but it is lovely and husband say he would be ok carrying which is a bonus. Most of the changing bags he said he would not be seen dead carrying!

Chocolateteabag · 03/08/2013 08:31

Congratulations on the Storksak Bod - sorry to hear you are struggling. Don't think that going early is a failure, you'll be shattered once little one arrives, so much better to get as much rest as you can beforehand.
Also it really is the end of one part of your life and the beginning of another - you do need a little time to get used to the idea.

Anda Bump - I cleaned the floor of our soon to be taken apart old kitchen with a sponge and bucket on the day DS arrived, nesting urges are SOOO weird.

We are going away on a cabin holiday with friends for the week - no wifi though so will have a lot of catching up to do when I get back next Saturday.
Stay Posifrickingtive everyone

posybunchof · 03/08/2013 10:39

Just popping back to say congrats Gary! Wow, what a fab birth, I hope mine is like that (8 days and counting til due date...), and I hope your DS now likes his new brother more and that you're getting on OK. xx

(Ps baby Keith !)

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 03/08/2013 12:20

OI! My DP is called Keith! Confused

I have a question...
Am I EVER going to enjoy food again? Sad its the great love of my life, besides Keith and I've been on holiday this week. We have had all of my favourite foods, and I haven't enjoyed any of them. Sad I nearly threw up during the Chinese takeaway! Sad its been a loooong time since I was pg, someone tell me this doesn't last the whole nine months!

GuffSmuggler · 03/08/2013 13:22

Saggy! Shock I don't know what they're all going on about, I'll definitely consider Keith, it's a lovely name! Grin

I'm off a lot of food and feel like I'm just eating for the sake of it some nights and not enjoying it at all but I don't think it lasts.

Bodicea · 03/08/2013 14:58

Saggy and guff . I am jealous. I haven't gone off a single thing throughout this pregnancy. Just been more hungry although not as bad now as first three months. I was an eating machine then. This has not done me much good as have piled weight on. Still I have always been like that. I eat when I am happy and when I am sad. I am never off my food so pregnancy was not gonna be different.
I am sure your appetite will return to normal in second trimester. I think most people's do.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 03/08/2013 16:23

Usually it's only Coma that stops me eating! Grin I trained as a chef and now sell pies and cheese. I adore food. But I know I'm PG, that's for sure! I was thinking boy, but now I'm not so sure! Which will pose a dilemma, because when I was PG before the MC, I was convinced it was a girl and she had my favourite names. It'll feel a bit weird using them again, but I really really love them! Confused Sad

BlackholesAndRevelations · 03/08/2013 17:13

Bod- I'm exactly the same. NOTHING stops me eating! The other week I had one bite of my dinner and had to lie down... Was ill (fluey type symptoms, slept for hours on end) it doesn't happen usually! Dp was worried Grin

omri · 03/08/2013 17:44

I am completely off my food too. That's what throwing up 4 times a day does to ya!!

So... Ladies... I am at the airport waiting to collect dp and ds after few weeks of them staying with dp's parents. Breaking the news to dp tonight! If u remember from last thread I decided not to tell him the news that I'm pregnant over the phone as want to keep it to ourselves at least until first scan.

Had kinda forgotten he doesn't know yet to be honest!!! Sooooo excited!!

Bodicea · 03/08/2013 17:49

Omri how exciting !!!!!!
Oh my god I don't know how you could have contained yourself. How long have you known now ?

omri · 03/08/2013 18:00

3 weeks!!! The first 2 calls with him after I'd found out, ugh, I was sooo tempted to tell him (he even asked! And I fluffed a no answer. Thank god it wasn't Skype or he would have seen me go luminous red!)
But after that I basically forgot and was just chatting to him about what he'd done all day, told him all about work... Etc
So - will I tell him as soon as we have our first big welcome hug? Or tonight after ds is in bed???? Flight delayed 15 mins

ChristineDaae · 03/08/2013 18:06

Omri how exciting!!! I can't wait to hear how he respondsGrin

omri · 03/08/2013 18:09

It better be good if he knows what's good for him!!!!! Wink

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 03/08/2013 18:15

Oooh! How exciting! Grin

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 03/08/2013 18:26

ooh omri i'm so excited for you!! he will be so over the moon!

anda congrats on finishing work woop woop!! i hope you;re doing a whole load of nothing at least for a few days!!

dh and i are just back from a couple of nights away, took bump to see blur and they were fab!! wee baby seemed to love it, danced the whole way through :)

just going to have a read through everything, hope everyone has been keeping well :) xxx

IBelieveInPink · 03/08/2013 18:30

Omri how exciting cant wait to hear how you have told him!

I have also piled on a few pounds. I was trying so hard not to as well, but had to face reality today when I had to get size 14 h and m maternity jeans. I am usually an 8-10! I was carrying a little extra after the miscarriages, but this is unreal. Bit of a wake up call :(

Bodicea · 03/08/2013 18:30

it wouls be cooler to tell him after ds is in bed but dont know if could hold it in that long!

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 03/08/2013 18:53

Pink don't panic, I read a post about maternity jeans and everyone said they went up a few sizes in h&m, I think they are maybe cut funny x

BlackholesAndRevelations · 03/08/2013 19:03

Yes- there was a notice in H&M that said go up a size (or two?) if in second trimester. I bought size 14 too although am usually a 10-12.

BlackholesAndRevelations · 03/08/2013 19:04

Enjoy telling your oh omri- there is NO WAY I could have kept it a secret even one minute, let alone three weeks!! Grin

BumpKitty · 03/08/2013 19:19

I think all H&M trousers are ridiculously small sized - I have never been an 8-10 though (well maybe was I was 8!).

Good Luck omri :) what a lovely surprise for him.

IBelieveInPink · 03/08/2013 19:52

Ah phew! Thanks ladies! I feel much better, I couldn't work it out as I still fit in some of my usual size 10s, not maternity! Thought I had stretched them out!

Omri, are you still holding out? How exciting!

omri · 03/08/2013 21:09

Haven't told him yet! Enjoying my own sense of anticipation here. Ds getting into bed here finally Wink
