I'd forgotten what early pregnancy is like ...

God it's tiresome! Am only five or six weeks, but exhausted, no energy, constantly wanting to eat, brain feels utterly fuzzy and am finding it impossible to concentrate at work ... just want to go to sleep! I can't remember it being like this before - is this what it's like?? This is my third pregnancy but it's been a while - my littlest is 5.5 - so perhaps I am just getting old Smile Remind me this is normal (especially the constant eating to stave off the nausea)

Not too tired, but fell asleep on a rug this afternoon after work watching the children.

Not too sick but had an hour of nausea on Sat and Sun where I was convinced I was going to spew.

Boobs, sometimes a bit sore, not much.

Crap achy pains in abdomen, bloated then flat stomach.

Irritable a lot.

Three random crying incidents.

5.5 weeks. Also under investigation for ectopic, scan Fri. Hope big tractors went well. Told everyone really, need help if happens again. :(

I just want to start looking pg now so I cam jump into comfy maternity clothes, esp in this heat.

I'm almost 12 wks and this is dc3 so surely it can't be long?

Christ! At 10 weeks with dc2 I was wearing maternity trousers! I have no stomach muscles any more! Confused

Love how this thread has taken off Smile
Now I am just trying to work out how to get through the morning at work before I can go and get my lunch. Constant Marmite rice cake eating going on. I can think of nothing but spaghetti and meatballs which is most odd but I all I want is carbs, and salt!

I'm about the same stage with DC3, I think - got BFP on Saturday!

Am feeling totally drained, but other than that, pretty symptomless. Mind you, my first 2 were the same, so that is fine by me!

Finding it hard trying to hide it, as living with my parents for a few weeks until our house purchase is finalised & so they can see how tired I am. Keep saying the heat is stopping me from sleeping at night!

Congrats JumpingJacks seeing the heartbeat is such a lovely feeling.

I'm 15/16 weeks now (depending on which dates I go buy) and I'm finally starting to feel more human. I can get through the day without napping although I am exhausted by 9pm. I've not been sick, thank goodness, but I felt constantly, intensely sick for the first 10 weeks. The only thing that kept it at bay was eating every ten minutes.

I am also craving carbs and salty food. Trying to force down the vegetables but pasta and chips seems much more appealing and I've never been a huge eater of either before.

jumpingjacks how are you not showing?! I feel huge already...

And most definitely do not want carbs. (Being gluten free doesn't help!). Even the thought of making them for supper makes me want to hurl - last night was just BBQ chicken and veg (I can just about manage a BBQ). Cooking is hell!

How's everyone feeling today?
I have a midwife appointment this afternoon so hoping that will make things more real - as if the constant nausea & exhaustion isn't enough!

I'm pregnant for the first time and at about 5 weeks now. Just wondered if it really is normal to feel sick 24 hours a day...?! The only time I don't feel sick is when I'm asleep. Haven't seen a doctor yet (just moved abroad so it's a little complicated), managing to eat plain bread, fruit and drink juice and not actually vomiting but is it really normal to feel so awful ALL day long? I hear it can last at least three months and at the first week of morning sickness (stupid name btw), I'm counting the days...

I'm worried that I'm not feeling rough today! Sad

manzanita mine is pretty constant & in my previous pregnancies it lasted until 12 weeks.

saggy I'm sure it's nothing to worry about, maybe your body is just getting used to all the hormones now :)

Hi all can I join? Im 8 weeks today, also with my 3rd! My other 2 are 7 and 5 so its been a while.... My moods change between 'yay!' and 'omfg' Grin

My stomach is bloated, and is uncomfortable in the evenings. I think about food all the time but Im trying to keep a lid on that... With my 2nd pregnancy I felt incredibly sick for the first 12 weeks and for that reason thought I was having a girl as it was so different to how I felt with my son, and I was correct. On that same basis I reckon Im having another boy Grin I know I may be wrong! Ive never actually been sick through my pregnancies (touch wood) but that awful constant pukey feeling is awful. Im getting worried now that Im feeling less ill...

Ive already put a few pounds on, Im not happy but in the weeks previous all I could do to stop feeling like death was eat, namely carbs and anything salty. Im hoping the eating will even out more as I go along.

I sleep on my front and my boobs are agony. One minute Im so tired I cant keep my eyes open, the next Im okay again.

Also - anyone else getting a lot of aching in the stomach area in the evenings? Seems that when I settle down for the eve and feel tired I notice my stomach. Its not painful but it is a bit uncomfortable.

Hope everyone starts to feel better soon Smile

Guy, me for the stomach ache. I said upthread, it feels like Ive been doing sit ups, its that strange stitchy achy type pain!
I take back my last comment about not feeling ill! Grin
I nearly passed out at the stables earlier, I was bending over cooling my hands in a water bucket. When I stood up everything went all wibbly and weird! Confused Thankfully I managed to sit down. Being retrieved feet first from a large water receptacle is never a good look! Grin

Now along with all the gagging and vomiting, I am fighting constipation as well. The sickness got so bad that I had a friend flying from overseas get me some un-prescribed Zofran (which I took during HG in my previous pregnancy but which NHS won't prescribe this time around).

I almost feel like terminating. I don't feel excited or happy at all, in spite of this being a much planned and hoped for baby. Just feel like I am on my deathbed.

Halfling is there nothing your GP can do? Could you possibly ham it up a bit and go to the EPAU?
I was horribly constipated last time, Lactulose is your friend! this time, everything is working great. I had a lovely poo earlier! Grin

I am tired all the time, i'm usually a nightowl but find i can't stay awake past 10 o' clock at the minute i think im 6-8 weeks nausea is making me eat little and often bland foods such as pasta, potatoes, bread ect i also have pelvic twinges which catch me unawares, my only child is 6 yrs old i cannot remember it being so tiring last time, mind you this extreme summer we're having isn't helping with the tiredness/dizzyness. I empathise with others in the same situation! chin up tho eh Ladies ;)
