Reebok · 23/07/2013 00:56

Thanks marushka. Rest up.

Welcome airfryer! Ah I know that feeling. I've had contractions and been told I was going into labour since I was 37 weeks. I was due today...well now technically yesterday and still no baby. You still have a bit of time left but hopefully you won't end up overdue like me.

Airfryer · 23/07/2013 00:59

Ah I hope things speed up for you reebok!

I went 13 days over with my ds. Am hoping this one isn't the same!

Reebok · 23/07/2013 03:28

Thanks airfryer.

Well I managed to nap for an hour and now I'm wide awake thanks to numb toes! Very weird feeling.

TomDaleysTrunks · 23/07/2013 06:49

Hi airfryer! Hello the rest of the troopers. Crap nights sleep thanks to storm / DH work phone ringing / heat blah blah.

Still preg. BH petered out again.
Sounds like baby has dropped very low reebok.
Off to soft play with DD this morning, will try and slide the baby out.
39+ 3

TwoOfThree · 23/07/2013 08:35

Hi Ladies, I'm still here too, 41+6!
Three unsuccessful sweeps and I'm being induced tomorrow, I've had enough!

Had a bit of a Grr day yesterday. Having had a sweep on Thurs last week my midwife booked me in for an induction yesterday. Had another sweep with another midwife on Sunday, told her about my induction too.

When we got to hospital the midwife told me that they don't normally induce before before 42 weeks, and started telling me all the risks involved in being induced early. They told me it was my choice but gave me the impression it would be better to wait. So after a bit of a cry I came home and here I sit, back on my bloody bouncy ball. Rather Grr that my midwife didn't say that the hospital might query the two day early induction.

Hope you are all ok, and that the weather is a bit more comfy for you today. Nearly there!

Chocolate for breakfast this morning.

wavesandsmiles · 23/07/2013 08:42

Morning everyone.twoof that must have been such a disappointment for you regarding the induction. Frustrating enough still being pg without expecting to be actively having a baby and being sent home.

I'm feeling that mine won't appear until Sunday. This is purely based on the reasoning that me and my other DCs, and actually stbxh all have birthdays falling on dates which are multiples of 7. It would also mean I can play the gigs I am scheduled to play this week, although I really had hoped he would have arrived and I'd be playing with a newborn instead of a bump!

BH are stronger today but that means absolutely nothing I have learned! Hope you all have suitably relaxing plans for today

ZingWidge · 23/07/2013 08:56

good luck ladies - sending you all cervix dilating contraction vibes!
GET OUT!

HJBeans · 23/07/2013 09:08

I'm still here, too. 39 weeks today. No signs of action. Off to cut into yet another pineapple.

mrsspagbol · 23/07/2013 09:19

Hello please can i join?

40 plus 3 here. First baby. Had a sweep yesterday and came home really optimistic with crampy pains, pressure etc.

This morning have woken up and could not possibly feel further away from someone about to go into labour - no BH, no cramps, no pressure, no more constant peeing - bump is HIGHER Sad. This might as well be trimester 2!!

Gutted!

Reebok · 23/07/2013 09:28

Morning all! Lol@Tom sliding the baby out. If only it were that easy. Baby seems to drop low by evening and jump back up in the morning like a frigging yoyo!

Sorry to hear about the induction being held off twoofthree.

Waves, are you feeling any better? Hope the HG is calming down?

Beans enjoy your pineapple!

Welcome spagbol! Tell me about it! Lol

Well I'm 40+1 now.... :( Expecting baby to be in here a while longer but luckily I have all of you lovely ladies to keep me company!

*pleads silently please don't leave me ladies!!!

RememberingMyPFEs · 23/07/2013 10:07

Morning everyone! Hope it's cooler today after the overnight storms!

TwoOfThree do you know why it's higher risk early? I have the opposite problem - as a 40yo FTM I'm being pushed for induction soon after 40 weeks (this time next week) so REALLY trying to get her out early. But if I can get some info on the risks of early (pre42wk) IOL that might help me buy more time?! TIA Thanks

Good luck everyone - hope we see more babies arriving today

Isitme1 · 23/07/2013 10:31

Thank you all very much.
Delivery wasnt too bad.
Lost 5 litres of blood after so was on high dependency.

Blood levels thankfully haven't dropped too much so ive been allowed home.
Took a few hours to come round but when I finally did felt much better.

Baby waking
Will come back soon. He's not urinating properly :(
X

marushka82 · 23/07/2013 12:18

Isitme - I'm keeping fingers crossed for your little one and you! Take good care of yourself and rest!

Nothing here, I'm now so bored I'm watching live coverage of the royal baby... :D

ZingWidge · 23/07/2013 12:24

isitme1

sorry to hear you had a hard time.
are you ok?

what were you advised re baby peeing/lack of?

nappies are so absorbent, they don't always feel wet!
and of course it is really hot, he might be just absorbing all the liquid he gets!
(obviously you have a lot on your plate, but if you have kitchen scales you could try and weigh each nappy before and after usage - to get a factual reading of what's going on)

ask MW to check his fontanelle and to show you what to feel and explain to you what's normal.
it would be slightly dipped at this age, but if too dipped that would indicate dehydration.

I hope he'll get settled soon.
well done again!

ZingWidge · 23/07/2013 12:24

marushka have they come out yet?

marushka82 · 23/07/2013 12:27

Zing - doesn't look like it! Apparently they won't come out until 6pm or tomorrow even :D

Could you predict when my lazy princess decides to come out please? ;)

Reebok · 23/07/2013 13:11

Glad you are both out and doing well isitme! :)

I'm bored too! My feet are super swollen today so can't do anything except keep them propped up. Was hoping to do lots of walking and squatting.

mrsspagbol · 23/07/2013 13:15

Congrats Isitme - hope you are feeling better and baby gives you some majorly wet nappies soon.

Reebook - are we having a parallel pregnancy?! Lol. My elephant feet are up and am bored too. Thanks for the welcome, I don't think I am going anywhere in a hurry Hmm

Reebok · 23/07/2013 13:30

Lol spagbol! Ah maybe! Looks like I've found my new pregnancy twin. Isitme was originally as we kept experiencing same symptons. Yeh me neither. Although, zing has reminded us a few times that women don't stay pregnant forever! Lol only thing getting me through.

Reebok · 23/07/2013 14:45

It's odd but today I'm feeling excessively hungry. For past few weeks my appetite dropped and today I just want to eat non stop! Anyone else feeling like that or is it just me?

ZingWidge · 23/07/2013 15:39

Reebok I'm not getting your hopes up, but let me tell you this:

with DS3 the morning sickness returned at 6.5 months and got gradually worse to the point that the last week before he was born I was sick 4-5 times /day!
then on the Saturday I was fine. I ate all day and wasn't sick at all. I had mild pains all day but I didn't realize what was going on as first 2 were induced.

I talked to a friend just before midnight and told her that I'm so well and how much I ate - and that I was thinking my body might know something I don't, storing up all that food!

DS3 was born within 7 hours the next morning (after an hour & half of intense labour and 3 pushes!)

so keep eating and resting. I think your hunger might just be a sign!
I really hope so!

ZingWidge · 23/07/2013 15:41

oh marushka I wish I could! Wink

it's so hard to wait and I really hope it won't be long!

TomDaleysTrunks · 23/07/2013 16:01

Hello hello!

Lots of BH after doing some fast slides with DD. bumped into midwife at soft play as she was there doing a breast feeding group. Told her I couldn't get an appt at the GPs so she saw me in the party room there. All fine, offered me a sweep on the party table. I declined!! Booked for Monday instead in the comfort of my own home.

Spicy Madras made for tonight. Going to have to eat it with the fan on my face.

reebok and spagbol maybe this is the calm before the storm. I've also got my feet up, DH and DD gone swimming so enjoying the peace!

Reebok · 23/07/2013 16:02

Really zing? Fx that's what it is.

No real pain today. Just slight p pains but nothing to fuss about, constant trips to loo and this insatiable hunger. Not going to get my hopes up again.

Reebok · 23/07/2013 16:11

Lol Tom at the sweep
