How are you getting along??

Nothing here to report, apart from the fact I slept in until 11.30 (and feel slightly guilty about that, not sure why, it's not like I have some schedule to keep, lol).

Jealous of Kate going into labour!

I don't have any signs apart from diarrhea (sorry, tmi), but I've had it for the last two weeks so not sure what to think really.

Moomin - hope you have your baby soon! I'm due on the same day as you, but I doubt anything will happen:)

Reebok - I'm in London as well, thank goodness we don't have to go to work and deal with the sauna conditions on the tube, eh?

Eatchocolatedrinkgreentea · 22/07/2013 12:42

I'm starting on the chocolate digestives as we speak!! I have friends who are putting on bets as to what time Kate's baby is born! Honestly, early stages of labour could mean anything. It might not even be today!

cogitosum · 22/07/2013 12:43

My odds are fairly good but only coz I'm 9 days over [sobs]

So jealous of Kate and also a bit disappointed as was hoping to be on the same day! But NOTHING is happening!

Sweep tomorrow then induction Friday if still no joy... I've kind of resigned myself to induction now and made peace with it!

wavesandsmiles · 22/07/2013 12:54

I read somewhere that you have to eat 6 entire pineapples in a day to actually have a good chance of going into labour! I have been trying to eat a large pineapple for 2 days now and there is about a quarter left still.

Quietly sobbing to myself as although I'm not due until 30th either, by this stage I was in active labour with DS and DD was a week old.

Maybe the full moon will help?

moominmaiden · 22/07/2013 12:56

It's a full moon, isn't it? Midwife at hospital said they are always busy at this time of the month :)

Reebok · 22/07/2013 13:01

Marushka very true although I'm so bored of being on maternity leave. I really miss working. Baby seems to have relaxed today of all days...my due date! No contractions for the first time in ages!! I think I need to resign myself to the fact that bubz will be overdue. Scared about having a sweep though! Does it hurt??

ZingWidge · 22/07/2013 13:02

waves and it would give you immense diarrhoea!

to someone upthread - fresh pineapple with a sprinkling of salt is delicious. and it stop hurting your mouth. try it

Reebok · 22/07/2013 13:13

I don't like pineapple but now I'm considering buying some and forcing it down my gob! Desperate times call for desperate measures...even tried taking your advice zing and DTD! It was impossible cos I was so uncomfortable and baby kept kicking me! Lol so in the end, we have up.

Reebok · 22/07/2013 13:13

Gave up* damn chubby fingers!

Eatchocolatedrinkgreentea · 22/07/2013 13:16

Random question: if I'm going to see midwife tomorrow to arrange being booked in for my induction, how quick can they book you in?

cogitosum · 22/07/2013 13:34

Eatchocolate I think quite quickly as I've got an appointment tomo and she said last week they'd do the induction before Friday so that doesn't leave long!

SourSweets · 22/07/2013 13:59

9 days Cogito? I feel for you. At least your induction will be happening soon - that baby WILL come out!

SIX pineapples? SIX? Nothing is worth that.

HJ I just did that test and it said I would have my baby on march 24th, 2014! Either something has gone very wrong there or I'm going to make history...

Eatchocolatedrinkgreentea · 22/07/2013 14:20

Cogitosum that's good. It's my DS1 sons birthday next Monday so hoping it would be before then. Fingers crossed. X

Reebok · 22/07/2013 16:20

Really don't know what to do. My tummy hurts so bad but can't seem to go. So much pressure and been like this for 2 weeks :'(

Ouch cognito...9 days! I feel for you! But hopefully this means it will be over soon. They don't let you go past 2 weeks over due do they?

Chocomama1 · 22/07/2013 17:29

Baby boy born 21st at 1:14am...
labour started at 3pm on Friday and after hours of being stuck in early labour I finally went into every 2 min contractions at 9pm...by 1am he was born. Just gas and air and 36 hours labour... im bloody knackered but little boy is gorgeous and worth everything!!!
