Good luck isitme! Let us know what happens!

Been having really strong BHs tonight. Just wish they'd turn into proper contractions!! Wish I could sleep too.

Can you have a look in your crystal ball for me zing, and tell me when this baby is coming? He obviously takes after me for laziness.

Reebok · 21/07/2013 02:10

Lol zing....

Has anyone experienced a sort of numbness in their toes? My feet are swollen from the long walk but for past few hours toes particularly on my right foot have felt so numb.

BraveLilBear · 21/07/2013 03:46

Morning all... congrats to mamachelle and zulu :) I'm up as I think the waters have gone. Seem to be having sort of waves of strong period pains so have got up in an attempt to time them without disturbing DP but so far am rubbish at telling when they start and stop. I assume this will become more obvious at some point!

TomDaleysTrunks · 21/07/2013 03:50

Oh that's exciting bear. Period type cramps might turn into waves of contractions. Do you have an app to help you time it? Did you get a huge gush of waters?

I'm up, feel like I'm going to have diarrhoea. Bloody nausea back too.

TomDaleysTrunks · 21/07/2013 03:51

Grin zing, oh wise one.

BraveLilBear · 21/07/2013 04:03

Woke up thinking I was weeing myself, went to loo but water kept coming in small gushes. Thought it might bebbladder control issue as I could stem the flow a bit if I tried and so decided to put a pad on to see. Went to get knickers (usually sleep naked) and ended up stuck on the landing with water gushing out. Very odd.

Confusingly, I do seem to be needing lots of wees but pad doesn't smell like urine at all and the gushes were accompanied by period pains.

Contractions still mild but more obvious now. At about every 5-6 minutes and using app. Writing birth plan...

How come you're awake Tom?

TomDaleysTrunks · 21/07/2013 05:51

Pain in my bum and legs. Plus DD is messing around this morning.
How's it going now? Sounds like you are doing a great job. Hope things have carried on progressing.

ZingWidge · 21/07/2013 08:17

reebok toe numbness - baby might have shifted a bit and now pressing on some nerves.

ZingWidge · 21/07/2013 08:18

Bear good start with the waters going! it's all happening!

ZingWidge · 21/07/2013 08:21

Tom you as well, the creature is stirring!

nausea and loose poo - perfectly normal, your body is getting ready.

How are you all?

MonstersDontCry · 21/07/2013 08:29

Haha zing! I hope you're right about the baby being first. Your posts do make me laugh. Grin it's just what I need at the moment.

Ooo exciting bear. How're you now?

Bear and Tom, did you manage to get any sleep last night?

ZingWidge · 21/07/2013 08:32

that's why I'm here, rubbing feet, handing out drinks and snacks, preferably ice cream.

here's a joke:

knock knock
who's there?
Europe
Europe who?
No, you're a poo

wavesandsmiles · 21/07/2013 10:14

Oh Zing that made me laugh (and DS). I slept in this morning for the first time in I can't remember. Good thing as I didn't get to sleep til 2 ish. Period like cramps AGAIN but no regularity whatsoever. Clearly the clary sage bath, raspberry leaf tea and pineapple did absolutely nothing whatsoever.

Any progress Bear - sounds quite exciting to me Smile

I have decided that reading MN late at night is NO good for me whatsoever. Have been mentally berating myself for a couple of days after reading a thread about toast, and realising that I am so badly spoken that I offer the DCs "Bits" of toast for breakfast as opposed to slices, pieces or rounds. Bits of toast indeed....

Reebok · 21/07/2013 11:22

Lol zing!

Bear that's great news. Hope things continue to progress.

Another sleepless night thanks to period pains which were coming every 10 mins and the constant need to visit the loo. Tom I totally know what you mean about the 'pain in the bum!' Lol ah it will come to nothing today as usual.

TwoOfThree · 21/07/2013 11:34

That's exciting news bear!
Still nothing here except for indigestion. The midwife is coming over in half an hour to give me another sweep as the last one didn't work, and if not I'm being induced tomorrow.

The hospital called and asked if I wanted to go in today as they are quiet and I totally chickened out!

Reebok · 21/07/2013 11:37

Can I just ask...is it normal for your hospital to not see you until you're 41 weeks? I had my last check up with gp at 38 weeks as its split care and my hospital don't check you until 41 weeks so I have no idea if I am even slightly dilated. My gp didn't do all the checks and didn't even tell me at my last appointment if baby was still engaged. Nothing in notes.

ZingWidge · 21/07/2013 11:43

reebok

Shock you should have had checks at 39 & 40 weeks, that is bad form that they didn't!

get checked tomorrow, demand it.
and a sweep while you are at it!

ZingWidge · 21/07/2013 11:45

should have been a MW btw.

just called them up tomorrow and say that you are worried about what's going on, and that you haven't been seen..ask them to monitor baby's heartbeat.

ZingWidge · 21/07/2013 11:45

not called, call!
