Ok so I'm now 25+2 weeks and needed somewhere to moan for some reason I forgot how awful some of the pregnancy symptoms are.

At the moment I'm suffering with constant heartburn (tried everything but always comes back after half hour and gaviscon makes me sick), restless legs, constantly tired from the moment I wake to when I sleep (iron levels are apparently fine) aching when I walk further than 5 minutes, uncomfortable sleeping, can't bend down properly and now getting very bad moods to the point I want someone to do something to make me mad so I can shout at them Hmm

Anyone else feeling this bad please come here to moan so I don't feel like I'm the only mardy pregnant woman out here Wink

I know what you mean! I'm almost 19 weeks with my first and it's been pretty tough so far!

Had awful nausea/sickness up to 14 weeks and now my pelvis aches constantly, I get headaches and can't get comfy in bed therefore I don't sleep well so I'm shattered Angry

I also seem to have zero patience with anybody/thing - literally everything gets right on my nerves!!

So no you're not alone!

RJM17 · 29/06/2013 18:41

I have no patience! I am either shouting or crying!!
I don't sleep properly because I can't get comfortable so then I'm shattered the next day and falling asleep on the sofa as soon as I get in from work and then can't sleep that night!!
I was sick for first three months and now just feel like I'm gonna be sick but not!
The heartburn is horrendous and I feel like all I do is burp!!
20 weeks down only 20 to go!!
Why does no one tell u this side of being pregnant??? Xx

I hear you on the shouting/crying front. At 17w+4, I am (still) an emotional wreck. There is definitely a reason you are meant to be married for this, bog all to do with stability or tradition or same names, everything to do with the fact that I would have run a mile if my DH morphed overnight into an irrational, leaky-faced harpy. I thought pregnancy would be all Bambi-and-his-mother-laying-down-in-the-dappled-glen-and-beaming-at-the-world. Turns out in reality it just makes me quite angry!

Tiredemma · 29/06/2013 18:59

horrendous heartburn. day and night.

Emilily · 29/06/2013 18:59

And the constipation is pretty crap too!!

Shellywelly1973 · 29/06/2013 19:01

I won't say this in RL as i had a MMC a few months ago & don't want ti tempt fate...

Im coming up 10 weeks, 6th dc.
I've got an underactive thyroid only diagnosed days before BFP so still not stable. A UTI since Thursday. Im so knackered i want to cry. I've never experienced morning sickness as bad as in this pregnancy. But if i don't feel sick, i worry iyswim!

I cry at everything & i can't stand the smell of family anymore...hormones!!

Shellywelly1973 · 29/06/2013 19:01

Yes smell...!

suprisepitstop · 29/06/2013 19:02

definitely the moodiness, quick anger and the tendency to see the glass half empty! i thought i would all skippy and maternal and soft!

PoppyAmex · 29/06/2013 19:02

Maalox for heartburn. They sell it in pharmacies over the counter but you have to ask the pharmacist.

Tastes like polo mints and works 10 times faster than horrid Gaviscon.

I only found out about when I was 38 weeks, but this time I already have a stash of it!

mouseymummy · 29/06/2013 19:05

This is my third pg, obviously I haven't learned my lesson yet!

So far (I'm only 23 weeks) I've put my back out twice, I'm talking properly like not being able to do even the slightest thing because it fucking hurts so bad.
Been in hospital 4 times with bleeds and scares. This is not fun when the only person who can come with you is your 18yo brother (tbf the silly arse offered) who then proceeds to gip and retch everytime the lovely mw has to do something to you. Next time he is baby sitting!
The heartburn that I only ever get while pg is back (btw ladies, try renatadine. It's seriously amazing and the only thing that doesn't make me feel like ripping my own throat out)
On top of the pg tiredness I have a 9 mo who refuses point blankly to sleep and is intent on giving me hell.

This is my last pg. No more.

I think the reason no one tells us about this side is that as soon as you have the baby it dies funny things to you and makes you remember the good bits and.forget the shit days.. tis my theory!

FoofFighter · 29/06/2013 19:28

restless legs/cramps/crawling itchy feelign in legs

get yourself some magnesium supplements, they work wonders!

ZuluWarrior · 29/06/2013 19:33

I say this on every pregnancy thread, but vulval varicose veins.

Nuff said. I'm with you mouseymummy - we should have learned by number 3. This is definitely my last too!

Gonnabmummy · 29/06/2013 19:43

Hi OP I was having horrid heartburn to the point I started being sick gp prescribed some ranitidine tablets they're fantastic

And second the magnesium works wonders for cramp/restless legs

Nellysgirl · 29/06/2013 19:49

Rib ache, popping ears, uti's, fidgety legs, breathlessness oh and forgetting what you are talking about mid sentence Hmm

RJM17 · 29/06/2013 19:56

Has anyone else had the crazy weird dreams as well?? Just another great part of pregnancy!! X

sarah0000001 · 29/06/2013 22:33

bleedin early in pregnancy, all day sickness, pgp, heart burn, not being comfy, not being able to sleep, constant trips to the loo, forgetfulness, breathlessness and stretch marks appearing after all the moisturising ive done....the joys of pregnancy eh?!just got to get through labour...only 2 weeks an 5 days to go!!!

Signet2012 · 29/06/2013 22:50

For me it was the constipation and resulting piles.

My partner stunk. He smelt like creosote to me.

Hair where hair shouldn't grow on a lady. Blush

lauracutee · 30/06/2013 10:48

The constipation or diarrhoea. It's always one or the other - never just a nice, normal poo!

Not sleeping.

Heartburn.

Wind. (Man, I'm glamorous Wink

CadleCrap · 30/06/2013 10:59

Gaviscon dn't work for me - I ended up practically eating Bicarb of soda.

Vile but it worked.

yellowsnownoteatwillyou · 30/06/2013 11:18

35 weeks, I'm totally over being pregnant.

All my ligaments failing, so in constant pain, piles in the last week.

Not really had the heartburn but over the last week the evening sickness has started up again, and I have constant back ache.

This is my first, I'm sure I will forget and want another one...maybe

yellowsnownoteatwillyou · 30/06/2013 11:19

Oh and horrendous cramp every night, it's a horrific way to be woken up.

Gonnabmummy · 30/06/2013 13:59

yellow get some magnesium tablets for the cramp stops it in no time :)

blondebaby111 · 30/06/2013 16:27

Feeling like you have a constant hangover in the first few weeks, that's not nice but lucky its easing up a bit more now :)

sprite25 · 30/06/2013 19:44

feel bad for saying all this as Im only 17 weeks but here goes.....the terrible sickness/nausea, heartburn, gas, constipation, bloating so you feel and look mega fat but not actually pregnant, the headaches, the constant tiredness no matter how much you rest/sleep, having to pee all the time especially in the night, feeling every emotion possible in the space of about 5 minutes, the smells of things (food, deodorant, cleaning stuff etc.) Im sure there is alot more that Im having and I know theres alot more to come but one of the worst things is people constantly saying to me 'Oh you should feel much better by now'.......
