I went 2 weeks over with both of mine. I nearly resorted to caster oil, but thankfully managed to stop myself! I still couldn't have managed a hole pineapple though! The heartburn!!

Chocolateteabag · 17/07/2013 21:17

Hi omri and congratulations on your BfP!!
It's a fab thread - great for the worry fest you now join us on Grin

I took one raspberry leaf tea capsule a week from my EDD with DS and then had a "show" an hour later, labour then started and took 12 hours. Not sure the Capsule really had anything to do with it, but will try again this time as anything that shortens the joy that is labour has got to be a good thing.

Great scan news Gary & Christine!!

Have really started to feel some kicks today (18 weeks) which has been lovely. Am finding my bump is going up and down in size day to day, guess that this is more due to blasting than to actual baby, but I can't remember when I started to get a true baby bump last time.

GardenWorm · 17/07/2013 21:58

Choc you really shouldn't blast your bump Grin

GuffSmuggler · 17/07/2013 22:10

Great news gary and christine Grin

Welcome omri this is good place to be, I mc'd 4 months ago too and it still feels very raw but there is good positivity on this thread.

omri · 17/07/2013 23:40

Thanks GuffSmuggler! glad to be here with all you jollies!
how far along are you now? curious if you mc'ed in March too :(
i just did my test this eve and said 2-3 weeks. eek.

jmf294 · 17/07/2013 23:59

Hi omri and welcome!!

Trying not to whinge but I'm just too hot and pre-scan nerves for Friday (20 week scan) are really setting in!!

Pentagon · 18/07/2013 08:39

welcome omri and congratulations on your BFP! There is a lot of support here, it's a great thread! I hope everything goes well for you this time. Do you have children already or will this be your first?

Shell thanks for all the info on the recommended rasberry leaf dosage - I'll certainly follow your advice

choc yay for kicks!! It's lovely and so reassuring, isn't it?

jmf I was just thinking that you must have a scan this week...tomorrow!! Good luck!! x

Pixielady83 · 18/07/2013 08:57

Hello ladies, need some reassurance today. Going to Dr for water infection today but worried as pg symptoms have really changed yesterday and today. My boobs have gone down and are less tender, sickness has subsided, and I've had a skin break out. I'm 7 + 2. I'm really worried that this is a hormonal shift before a mc Sad

GuffSmuggler · 18/07/2013 09:02

omri I'm 7 weeks, had an early scan on Tues and all looking good at the moment.

pixie sorry to hear you are worried, mention that your symtoms have subsided to the Dr and you never know they might send you for a scan. I'm sure everything is fine, I'm so up and down, feel really ill one day and then fine the next.

Rockchick1984 · 18/07/2013 09:34

Pixie my symptoms are up and down too - yesterday I couldn't keep anything down, the day before I felt relatively normal! Breakouts are a typical pregnancy symptom, I'm sure you don't need to worry but certainly speak to your dr and see what they say.

andadietcoke · 18/07/2013 09:36

pixie please try not to worry. This happened to me at 7+4 and then I started spotting. I did a pg test and the line was fainter than it had been which just confirmed everything as far as I was concerned. Ended up at EPU and they told me everything was fine and I was having twins, so by rights I should have had every symptom going! The morning sickness started at about 8 weeks but my boobs haven't been sore since - I'm 32 weeks now.

andadietcoke · 18/07/2013 09:37

Oh and pixie my skin was awful from around that point until about 20w. Spots count as a symptom!

Pixielady83 · 18/07/2013 10:02

Thanks so much anda guff and rock that's v reassuring. Starting to feel a bit sick again phew. I seem to have one day a week when I'm convinced it is all over and think today is the day. I'm back to wondering about booking a private scan Mon or Tues as we are both off.
It is so reassuring to hear that other people's symptoms come and go as well, thank you so much ladies. It is so hard to just trust your body after an mc isn't it.

pumpkinsweetie · 18/07/2013 10:12

Omg i look truly pregnant today & i'm only just a few days shy of 16wksGrin, anyone else show this early?

Sickness pixie, mine went around 12 weeks, but i still get days where i feel nauseous especially in this heat!
I always find eating something plain like a rich tea first thing settles it x

IBelieveInPink · 18/07/2013 10:42

Pumpkin - I popped at 15 weeks! Was trying to keep it quiet from work for as long as possible, but had to tell them as it became so obvious!

OP posts:
GaryBuseysTeeth · 18/07/2013 10:53

Welcome omri!

((pixie)) hope all goes well at the Drs, glad you're feeling sick.

pumpkin, I was in maternity trousers at 14 weeks...so not just you!

Re. raspberry leaf tea. I find the taste disgusting, so I put a spoon of sugar in & wait until it goes cold when I then chug it down like a frat boy. Have been on it since 26wks (one cup at day), on 3/4 cups atm.
Might try the capsules...would probably be easier!

Even though they started the induction on Sunday for me (DS born on Weds morning), I was only in 'labour' for 14hrs. Which makes me optimistic for a quicker one this time around.

Pentagon, my EDD is close to my DH's birthday, so will be interesting to see if yours or mine shares it with this baby!

Great news about your scan Christine!

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 18/07/2013 10:55

Pixie I can totally relate! Yesterday I felt great! I was so worried! Confused
I can happily say, today I feel bloody awful! Grin

Pixielady83 · 18/07/2013 12:04

saggy it's rubbish isn't it. glad to hear you feel rubbish today! (such a weird sentiment but you know what I mean!) I feel more confident now but had such a wobble this morning.

pumpkin I have always showed early, I get so bloated and I'm little so it is obvious quickly. Embrace those stretchy maternity trousers!

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 18/07/2013 12:59

If your nausea disappears, have a cup of tea! Its guaranteed to set mine off! Grin

GuffSmuggler · 18/07/2013 13:16

Erm I'm 7 weeks and thinking of getting the maternity gear out! Not sure my stomach ever went back to normal after the MC so I've had about 6 months looking slightly pregnant... Confused

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 18/07/2013 13:24

I was wearing mat trousers at 10 weeks last time. The over bump part was pinned to my bra, but normal trousers were SO uncomfortable!

Pentagon · 18/07/2013 13:33

shell I forgot to ask, what strength should the capsules be? I've seen some that are 750gm (Amazon) and some that are 400mg (Holland & Barrett)

gary I bet your DH wants the baby to arrive on his birthday! And what would be a better birthday present? Smile

pumpkin I also showed quite early. I was in maternity trousers after 12 weeks but could still conceal my small bump under baggy tops. I think I popped out at around 15-16 weeks, just like you

pixie, I didn't feel sick every day during the first 12 weeks, it was a bit ad hoc - some days I felt fine and some others crap. But neither reassured me because I had no sickness whatsoever during my first MMC but quite a bit of it during my second MMC...grrrrrr!

DIYandEatCake · 18/07/2013 14:09

Welcome omri!
pixie it sucks that symptoms come and go at the start, I was convinced it was all going wrong in the early days too. Hope you get the uti sorted out, must be making you feel rubbish too! Spots are sadly a definite pg symptom for me, have had them since about 7w, I think they're slightly better now at 19w but still very much there, no amount of make up disguises them.
jmf keeping everything crossed for you, at least it will be over soon and if all is well you can enjoy being on the home strait. Mine's next Tuesday, not sure how I'm feeling about it, but hope all's well for both of us and then we can relax a bit.... Maybe!
Have dd's 2 (and a bit) year check tomorrow, had been dreading it (had a horrible phase of tantrums, awful behaviour and seeming behind everyone else) but in the last few weeks she's suddenly potty trained, started talking really well and being a little angel. Our health visitor is horrible and I was waiting for a good lecture/bit of patronising but I'm cautiously looking forward to it now. Developmental leaps eh.

pumpkinsweetie · 18/07/2013 14:13

What a relief, thought i was the only one showing so early ! I'm a big girl size 18, so shocked when i woke up this morning and i have just popped overnight it seemsGrin!

Omri

Hello again. And hello Omri!

Joining the cluster of EDDs in the first week of March, had my first midwife appointment last week. Had genuinely forgotten how much paperwork and bumf they throw at you on the first visit. Shedloads of the blinking stuff. In a spirit of optimism I blew a whole 85p on a cheerful orange folder to put it all in.

My only real symptom of pregnancy is a lovely bloated stomach, which makes me look about 15wks pregnant on bad days. Makes the whole thing a bit unreal. But from what Pixie and others have been saying, symptoms are a mixed blessing - you worry when they fade or change...
