Thread for ladies who are freaking out panicking slightly when preggy after miscarriage.
Plenty of oldies. Newbies always welcome.

I was stupid today! I looked back through my cycle tracker to this stage in the last PG. started comparing symptoms and looking through my notes. I've completely lost the plot now! Every ounce of positivity I have has drained away and I'm left convinced that this pg will end as well. WTF did I do that for? Angry

BlackholesAndRevelations · 13/07/2013 20:41

Oi saggy! where is your posifrickintivity?! You have been having loads of symptoms. Today you are pregnant xxx

JBrd · 13/07/2013 20:42

Saggy - breathe, hun, breathe! Have a cuppa, sit down or do something that relaxes you, like watch your favourite film or read your favourite book.
We will all have phases where we'll freak out, it's just normal after what we've been through before. Unfortunately, we won't be able to enjoy our pregnancies like someone who's never had a mc Hmm But we have to keep believing that all will be well, otherwise we might as well give up now... Hope you feel more positive soon! Any friends you can talk to?

I found that keeping really busy helps me to take my mind off things - baking, gardening, exercise. Had some quality time with the pressure washer today, cleaning the patio. Love it Smile

I'm still doing Weight Watchers at the moment, and I won't stop until I'm at least 12 weeks, when might defect to SW... I'm also very keen to avoid gaining so much weight again - 3st when pg with DS. But eating was the only thing that stopped the nausea.

I'm also thinking about buying a bike, for some gentle tours around the village... Not sure how it works with a bump, though. Going to the gym 3-4 times a week, doing Bodypump, which I love! Hope I can continue as long as last time (was about 7.5 months, when I stopped). I was planning to start running in September, but that's not going to happen now.

BlackholesAndRevelations · 13/07/2013 20:42

I keep saying I'm going to go swimming but keep not getting round to it!! well done those of you wo are actually doing some exercise!

jmf294 · 13/07/2013 20:45

Saggy- your fears are understandable but the odds are very much in your favour so try not to panic.
I found the first 12 weeks horrendous, constant checking and almost had a breakdown over my scan.
We all understand how you feel having been there- take each day at a time, and each day is a day closer to your baby.

JBrd- impressed at the exercise!! I used to run, not run since March, trainers away now until January!!

BlackholesAndRevelations · 13/07/2013 20:46

Ps I'm still very nervous about my 20 week scan, too. Can't understand why a friend of mine who has had a mmc is so blasé about hers... That's a terrible thing to say, I know, and I am happy for her that she can be so excited and chilled about it. I keep thinking what if there's a heart abnormality? Told another few friends today but there are loads who don't know yet... Might hit Facebook after the scan. 3 weeks and 1 day to go....

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 13/07/2013 21:50

Thanks Jbrd. You're right. It didn't help that I was bored stiff today! Positivity. By this stage last time, the spotting was well established. Ive got loads more symptoms. It will be ok.
I am getting a bike, a friend has one I can have. It's got a basket! Grin I rode until the end with my first, I was much slimmer then, this time I'm going to see how it goes. I think it depends on the bike. A proper sit up and beg bike has got to be much more comfy to ride than a racer!

Lieslvontrapp · 14/07/2013 00:24

Great to see you here saggy and Jbrd. Really hope it works out for you both this time. One day at a time is my coping mechanism. Welcome toaster too!

Happy birthday, work baby showers, baby stuff purchases and hearing heartbeats to those last week. Been catching up after getting back from holiday last night.

Well today was my reassurance scan and I was so worried but so pleased that baby measured perfectly for 9+3, had a heartbeat and was wriggling around! I got so emotional! So now a step further than last time and got my booking in next week. Were also going to tell parents next weekend. Very relieved but now just can't wait for 12 weeks.

Well hope eveyones having a good weekend with the weather. And cant wait to hear from jess!

Stupid phone again!!

Anyone else wondering just when the royal baby will come- seems like we have been waiting for ages.
Shall we do a name/sex/ weight sweepstake?
I think a girl, 7lbs, Elizabeth Diana. Not very original heh!!

IBelieveInPink · 14/07/2013 09:18

Ooh I'm up for that. I think girl,8lb3, Victoria Diana.

GuffSmuggler · 14/07/2013 09:31

That's great news liesl Grin I can't wait to have a scan am driving myself nuts wondering if there is actually a baby in there or an empty sac growing again Sad If I don't get one through my GP by next week I'm going to book a private one.

saggy totally understand how you feel, just got to take it one day at a time, that is the only way I can cope. Today I am pregnant!

I can't wait for the royal baby to show up but they better not pick any of our favourite names! I reckon 7lbs 5, Charlotte Diana or Alexander James although it will have about 5 middle names won't it!?

Pentagon · 14/07/2013 10:30

BlackholesAndRevelations · 14/07/2013 18:04

Woop woop liesl! Congratufrickinlations on a successful scan!

I think Diana and elizabeth will def feature in the royal baby's name, in some order!

BlackholesAndRevelations · 14/07/2013 18:08

Unless it's a boy of course!! Then Charles something maybe, or Henry?

BlackholesAndRevelations · 14/07/2013 18:11

I just googled prince William and he's William Arthur Philip Louis, so will one of those feature? Although he hasn't got Charles in his name... Do royals have names that they have to use?

Bodicea · 14/07/2013 18:32

happy sunny weekend people.

congrats on your scan news lies xxxx Grin

Favourite for a royal boy is james - which is my name. aarrgh xxx

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 14/07/2013 19:54

Great news Liesl. Smile
Bodicea, I thought for a minute that your actual name was James! Confused

BlackholesAndRevelations · 14/07/2013 20:08

James is a great name! Love it. Unfortunately already have one in the close family so can't use it! Would be irritating if royal baby is James as people might think you copied, but don't let that stop you using your fave name!

I'm more concerned about one of my many pregnant friends nicking my names!!

LuckySocks13 · 14/07/2013 20:10

My DS is James so hope it's not!

DIYandEatCake · 14/07/2013 22:03

Great news liesl! And saggy hang in there, every day is progress and it sounds like you've got plenty of symptoms.

I was wondering about the royal baby today! Not a clue on names, I reckon it'll be a girl though.

garden it wasn't me complaining about work - I'm a lady of leisure (well, a sahm!).

I'm trying hard not to eat rubbish too but failing most days - seem to have big protein cravings at the moment and have just eaten a whole packet of ham straight from the fridge Blush. I'm lucky to have been quite skinny to start with but have definitely got plumper, and still have a whole face full of angry red spots, so don't feel too attractive either.

Had a lovely day today, played three solo pieces in a concert and it all went really well, was really chuffed with myself as have been working hard on the music the last few weeks thanks to a couple of months lost to sickness and migraines. Was so happy sitting there listening to the rest of the concert with the baby kicking away. Can feel it if I put my hand on my tummy now and dp can too. Dd is still stroking and cuddling the baby (through my tummy), glad her enthusiasm hasn't worn off yet!
