Thread for ladies who are freaking out panicking slightly when preggy after miscarriage.
Plenty of oldies. Newbies always welcome.

Congratulations jbrd it's wonderful to have you back :)

saggy you have to do whatever makes you feel comfortable, as you know, logically there is no reason not to dtd, my mw specifically mentioned this to me and DH at my booking in appt. and we have been, albeit not that often! But if it will make you anxious don't do it.
Also, if you have had an increase in your sex drive then it must be a boy (scientifically proven to be at least 50% accurate Grin)

anda I'm glad you had a lovely afternoon, what lovely gifts you got! Have you worked out days left at work? I have Blush and I'm not due till November!

IBelieveInPink · 11/07/2013 07:27

Jbrd! Hey lovely. So pleased to see you back here so soon. I am one of those 3rd time lucky people, (hopefully) Nd like you got pg quickly one after another! Everything crossed for you.

Saggy- I didn't either, until after 20 week scan. I was just too scared so wouldn't have enjoyed anyway. However completely agree with diet, I strongly doubt it would make a difference, so if you can without worrying, do!!

Diet- I don't leave til end october and am already counting days (74 working days)! How exciting, not long for you to go!

Anda you are clearly a goddess where you work - what a lovely thing for them to organise....I'd be lucky to get a £5 voucher (too many useless men!). Glad you enjoyed yourself.

Jbrd WOW! Congratulations on your BFP! I'm a 3rd time lucky too. It's great to have you back so soon, everything crossed for you x

DIYandEatCake · 11/07/2013 08:09

jbrd brilliant that you're back here so soon! Welcome back!

shellsocks · 11/07/2013 08:29

jbrd get in Grin Congrats so pleased to see you back...hope you have a really boring uneventful pregnancy Smile

saggy we never until overdue with DS and it's looking the same with this none Blush I'm just too scared to be totally honest Hmm

anda nearly there! It all becomes very real when you finish work! I finished at 35w last time and am at 36 this time Smile

BumpKitty · 11/07/2013 08:33

Ooh ibip what day are you finishing? I'm thinking October 23rd at the moment (I only work M, T, W). I have half term booked off anyway (week beginning Mon 28th) as DD's childminder is off so it's not going to be a very relaxing start to my maternity leave!

IBelieveInPink · 11/07/2013 08:51

Bump - im finishing on the 30th October. I was going to work a bit longer, but I have loads of holiday saved, and I turn 30 on the 31st October so figured it would be nice to stop then. No working when I'm 30! And gives me about 2.5 weeks (probably longer, let's face it) to get everything organised and do my Christmas shopping! So excited :)

andadietcoke · 11/07/2013 09:11

Just worked out I have 11 full days and 3 days where I finish at 1pm. That's scary! Just need to get through the next three weeks.

IBelieveInPink · 11/07/2013 09:25

Diet - that is soon! How exciting! Makes baby time feel a lot closer :)

Hello and how lovely to see all the newbies (or returnies) on here from the TTC thread - saggy, Jbrd, Camomile* (and everyone else I've forgotten).

I'm amazed how many people have abstained from DTD. In all my paranoia, its something I've never considered. With DC1 I didn't for the first 3 months because I felt so lousy, but definitely afterwards (and a lot towards the end). With this one I felt the need to get a stock in before I started feeling like crap... and then only felt awful for a couple of weeks. Definitely no reason to avoid it unless you've been told to by the Dr/MW and there is NOTHING you can do to change what will happen.

Had my 16 week appt yesterday and heard the heartbeat. Yay! Wasn't sure if you can always hear it by now, so I didn't have my hopes up. Luckily I hadnt' done any research as the MW said you should always hear it by now (unless you're v overweight) and that you get referred for a scan if they can't. As it took her a good few minutes to find it, I'm really really glad I didn't know that first!!!

GaryBuseysTeeth · 11/07/2013 10:21

Congrats & welcome back JBrd!!!

Saggy, I had a brown blood bleed early on in this pg after visiting the loo so abstained from full sex until I was past the 12wk scan. Doesn't stop you doing everything else though Wink

Janie, hurrah for ordering car seat!

Santa, DIY so glad you both heard hb.

IBIP, I've started Christmas shopping already Blush
DS's birthday is a few days before Christmas, and I'm hoping a 2 year old gets more excited about shiny, glittery Christmas things more than a one year old!
Awesome to finish work before your b-day!

Not much to report here, going to be brave and put together everything we ordered yesterday just to make sure it works.

IBelieveInPink · 11/07/2013 10:23

Aww Santa- 16 weeks already? That time seems to have gone quick! Yay for heartbeat.
I'm amazed how many people get to hear heartbeat at 16 week appointment - my midwife told me they 'don't listen for it any more'. I suspect this was because they had lost my notes, so she spent half the appointment looking for them!

Gary - good work on the Xmas shopping! Maybe if I divert my attention to that I will stop buying baby clothes!

Anda Not long for you now, august how excitingSmileSmile

Really happy that i found Haribo strawberries and milkshake bottles for £1 each in Tesco, i'm really loving sweets at the momentSmile

pumpkinsweetie · 11/07/2013 10:50

Gary Christmas shopping: well done on making a startSmile, i'm starting my crimbo shopping in September so it will be all done if baby comes early!

BumpKitty · 11/07/2013 12:39

Ooh I love those milkshake sweets pumpkin I think I would have done pre pg though too :)

bump so if you aren't too late you might have a little Scorpio baby just like you!

Yay santa how lovely, was it like a train or like a horse? I still think your having a boy.

gary DD was 2 just before last Christmas, she didn't exactly get it but was a lot more keen on the presents than the two previous Christmases! I'm looking forward to this one Grin though not enough to start shopping yet!

anda omg that's hardly any days left at work! So excited for our next thread babies

BumpKitty · 11/07/2013 12:40

I mean ibip not bump i'm obviously having an identity crisis!

GuffSmuggler · 11/07/2013 13:24

Hi jbrd good to see you here Grin

saggy how can you be bothered to DTD!! We aren't on that thread of crazed shaggers anymore, we can have a BREAK (thank goodness!!) I'm also a bit anxious everytime I go to the loo in case there is blood Sad

JBrd · 11/07/2013 13:44

Oh, I'll join you with the crazy knicker checking, I go about once per hour Confused
Feeling a bit meh today, and vaguely crampy in the lower stomach area, so already ramping up the freaked out status...
I don't think anyone can understand this that hasn't gone through the same thing.

I do worry about my sanity, but I reckon I'm in good company here Grin

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 11/07/2013 15:42

Guff I just fancied it! And, I do feel like I owe it to DP! He put in a valiant effort this month. We almost managed SMEP! Grin

GuffSmuggler · 11/07/2013 17:19

Well if you're both up for it I don't see why not! I think it's pretty certain it's no risk at all unless you are told there is a reason not to. My DH is just glad I'm leaving him alone for a bit, I was a bit errr militant Grin

Chocolateteabag · 11/07/2013 18:10

Ooh congratulations JBrd!! As has already been said, hope you have a super boring text book Pregancy Grin

Impressed at the Christmas shopping already underway. I am going on a course tomorrow for the weekend (learning to crochet - any excuse for a weekend away) just happen to be passing Bicester Village on my way. It would be rude not to stop by - and now have the Christmas thoughts already swirling........
