I know there's no way of telling but I'm 39 weeks today, I've not lost my plug, my waters haven't gone... In fact there's no sign of this baby going anywhere soon! I'm so fed up and bored and I just want her to come out now!! I've got a ball to bounce on, raspberry leaf tea and I've been walking but nothing's happening. Guess I'm going to have to sit it out and try to be patient!

Sorry to ramble, think I just needed to vent :)

Me too... Tried everything! I think it's just going to be a waiting game : ( Feel so excited though, can't wait for it to start! Have you had any twinges or mini contractions etc?

Missy28 · 03/06/2013 23:10

No absolutely nothing which I think is making it worse! I've had braxton hicks but nothing regular. Far too impatient for my own good! Glad someone is feeling the same as me though Smile

I had strong BH with dd1 from 35/36 weeks, no signs at all then waters broke at 40+3, dd born 40+5.

Newtobecomingamum · 03/06/2013 23:25

Do you have swollen feet? My feet in the last week have got so swollen! I can't walk very far and can't drive as its so uncomfortable so literally just drinking raspberry tea and bouncing around the house lol! Also eating lots of pineapple and spicy healthy low fat curries for lunch and still nothing. I wonder if any of it does actually work! Have had sex with hubby on two occasions TMI to see if that works but it didn't. Oh well, I guess it's just lots of waiting around :)

Missy28 · 03/06/2013 23:29

My feet and hands swell if I've been walking a lot so no more days out shopping for me lol! Boyf feels a bit funny about coming anywhere near me but I think I may have to persuade him to see if THAT will work ha ha! Blooming babies not doing as they are told Wink

I'll be 40 weeks in about 15 minutes... Not that I'm counting...! Wink BHs since about 24 weeks, an hour of more convincing contractions a week ago but still nothing! I'm fed up & in pain & I want my baby now!

StuckOnARollercoaster · 04/06/2013 09:08

Signing in to join you ladies - am 39 +3, although ideally I would like baby to appear as scheduled on Saturday as my mum arrives from abroad tonight so there's still some things to do!
Am doing daily walks and have upped my raspberry leaf tea capsules to 6 a day. Got some pineapple chunks in cupboard and think that we should get a curry one night this week!
Feet are def swollen and I had a funny turn in the supermarket yday although boyfriend thinks that might
have been because I was doing the last of the
glosswork on the nesting frenzy that was redecorating the hallway.
So next job - do I need a bouncy ball as it sounds like that may help encourage this baby...

igirisu · 04/06/2013 09:21

Hi! i am 39 weeks and have tried sex, orgasms (sorry TMI Blush ) Fresh, juiced and canned pineapple and hot curries/hot sauce. I also like to walk a lot and did a 5 mile walk on Saturday and i got NOTHING! I had a funny turn last week where i had a couple of strong contractions and was vomiting and had bad diarrhea after 2 days of hardcore nesting, i thought that was the start of things but i woke up and felt normal Confused . Im in no rush for him to come out but i really don't want to have to be induced! Im going to go for a long walk and scrub my kitchen floor this afternoon and see if that works. I have a man coming to fit a carpet any minute now so hopefully baby doesn't come while a stranger is in the house Grin

igirisu · 04/06/2013 09:22

and yes my feet have really bloated this week and my hands look like inflated latex gloves!

Newtobecomingamum · 04/06/2013 12:37

It's so frustrating isn't it lol! I know we need to be patient etc and I keep getting told... He will come when he's ready, but when you've been carrying them for 9 months and all the ups and downs with pregnancy and you're so close to the end, you get to the point when you are just desperate to meet the little person that you have been carrying and felt kicking and moving inside you! It's hard to be patient! : D X

Newtobecomingamum · 04/06/2013 12:40

Does the swelling go down as soon as you have had the baby? I look like big foot ha!

igirisu · 04/06/2013 12:41

Im clutching at straws so badly that a friend of a friend has predicted i will go into labour today so i am feeling very hopeful, i don't even believe in stuff like that i'm just really desperate. what have i become?

Newtobecomingamum · 04/06/2013 12:45

Good luck Igrisu and fingers crossed for you and all of the other ladies! I have had 3 people tell me I'm going to have him on the 5th, which is strange ha! It's just a guessing and waiting game for the most special present in your life! Ohh just so excited! I'm not even worried/don't care about the pain, I just can't wait to meet him :)

Missy28 · 04/06/2013 18:45

Ahhhh exciting times for everyone! I've kept busy today and had a massive pain earlier...which turned into nothing! Glad we're all in it together :)

Im joining in...40+5 today! Stretch and sweep yesterday but nothings happened other that me bein on tenderhooks and it hurting when I pee, get my induction date today :-(. This little girl is well and truly comfy, I must have an extra squishy placenta! And bloody hell!! A 5 mile walk!!! I can't even make it to the shop around the corner!

Newtobecomingamum · 05/06/2013 07:14

Good luck Joanna, let us know how you get on! Got a bit emotional last night and had a bit of cry.... Hormones and just wanting to hurry up and have him. Not being able to walk far because of swollen feet, feeling like I'm getting bigger/fatter every day, being stuck in the house as trying to rest my feet... Driving me mad!! The wait will be worth it but just frustrating in the meantime. Baby was so active last night, I think he wants to come out just as much as I do so that we can finally meet each other : )

joanna0211marie · 05/06/2013 10:03

I can relate to the crying and my legs feel like tree trunks so I can't walk very far even less so since it's been boiling weather! Im starting to get migraine after migraine too, not sure if that's pregnancy related or heat! Oooooh isn't it a beautiful thing in these final stages

igirisu · 05/06/2013 11:36

I have just been for a walk and been dancing all morning, my feet are sore and swollen but I can't bare sitting down and potentially delaying this pregnancy any more!

CuppaSarah · 05/06/2013 14:56

I was so huge everyone was telling me how I'd deffinatly be early all the time. By 39 weeks I wanted to cry and tell them all off. But after I gave up hope and took home a leaflet about induction and booking a sweep. I went into labour at 39+5.

igirisu · 05/06/2013 16:27

Ahhh cuppasarah sounds like me, I have had people telling me I can possibly get any bigger since I was 34 weeks, everyone has said he will come early. I hope they are right! I'm 39 weeks and starting to accept he will be overdue by 2 weeks because if I think of a date closer I will just make myself miserable!

Missy28 · 05/06/2013 21:10

I'm off to midwife tomorrow morning and dreading it as I just think they'll say all is fine and come back next week!! I'm having a lot of 'stabby' pains in my lady area this evening though so hopefully this means she's on the move 'downwards'?? Anyone have experience of this?!

joanna0211marie · 06/06/2013 01:06

Well sweep at 7 the night before, first contraction at 10:30, baby Lydia rose out by 15:20, dear god it hurt, didn't have time for any pain relief other than gas and air which is useless btw! So got to triage and was already 4cm stayed in there for an hour, went into a bath in early labour ward, was in room for about 1 and a half hours, 7 cms, got to labour ward and started pushing, waters finally broke and ,45 mins later she was out! 8lbs 3 and a half ounces, labour total 5 hrs 3 minutes, 8 stitches on the INSIDE OF MY FOOF. 1st and ONLY child. Phew! Xxxxxxxxxxxx

Missy28 · 06/06/2013 08:26

Ahhhh congratulations!!! X
