Ahh DS has the Chicken Pox! Cant remember who's DS had it on here?

Lucky- have you had chicken pox?
Even if you have you need your immunity checked. Your midwife will try to fob you off but I'd go and see your GP and ask for a blood test as there is treatment you can have if not immune.

Thanks jmf for asking :) I phoned the hospital midwives last week and asked them to check. They tested my blood sample and thankfully I am. I panicked as going round DS nursery. Such bad timing as meant to be flying to menorca next Friday for a very much needed break!

ah lucky, the poor wee thing. better this week than next though. i hope he is feeling better in time for your holiday x

santa in the first trimester, there 2-3 days in a row every week when I didn't feel sick at all. It especially freaked me out when I was 7-8 weeks because that's when I had my missed miscarriage last summer. I feared the worst but thankfully all was well at my scan 2 weeks later.

lucky sorry to hear about DS and chickenpox, good thing you're immune - hopefully, flying to Menorca next week won't be an issue.

The shit has hit the fan at my work due to yesterday's terror attack (yes i am a spy!) so I may be a bit quiet, sorry now if I miss anyone's scans/big moments but I will be thinking of you all x

Good luck baking (though you're probably out by now so keeping fingers crossed that all is well).

Thinking of you aoife and praying that you have the strength to get through what I can imagine will be a very difficult few weeks.

So today I booked a private scan for tomorrow, then had a panic that if it was bad news, I wouldn't be able to cope as we have a house full of guests all weekend. So I cancelled the scan, and will be re-booking again for next week. Good news though is that I've now found a reassurance scan for £70 [tight wad emoticon]

Thank you for the kind words - I'm still terrified, but feeling a little bit more posifricitive today.

It's so hard in early pregnancy knowing that everything's okay. Maybe you're just one of the lucky ones who doesn't have any symptoms!! One of my friends didn't even feel pregnant until about 8 months! I remember feeling desperate for morning sickness, when it hit I couldn't believe how ridiculous that was. Then I worried again when it went.

How many weeks are you now?
