Sorry to hear you've had a stressful morning Lucky (and such a horrible dream last night) but so glad you had another scan and everything is great - yay!! Well, there's always something to worry about in pregnancy - as a friend of mine says " if it's not one thing, it's another"

I'm in maternity trousers at work! I think I just look like a heifer though rather than pg! I weighed myself this morning, it's not good. I have put on over a stone already. Must stop eating crap.

Hi all, have tracked you down again thread after thread. What a chatty crowd! am over the moon to see bakingtins back, so so pleased.
Not got much to add, have been too busy with a hyper toddler to really notice this pregnancy at all, a blessing of course for which I am grateful if not a little guilty.

Quick question about cheese - we have a student lodging with us for 6 weeks who turns out to be veggie. Have dutifully bought a veggie cookbook but an awful lot of the recipes include goat's cheese. It's ok if you are cooking it, right?

Thanks ladies. Went for the scan and in and out in half an hour! Looks like bub is doing fine - it was wriggling round and waving its arms and legs in the air. Even turned its back on us at one point! They've put me forward by 6 days so officially 13w 2d and due 24 nov!

lucky glad you had a good scan and hopefully put your mind at rest. Probably time to put your feet up with a brew.

santa sorry you are feeling worried about your symptoms Hun.

I am seriously panicking about the lack of symptoms - I have sore boobs at night (when I take my bra off - feels like I am "releasing" them!!), bit of tiredness and a strong sense of smell but NOTHING else - no sickness at all - however I only had a bit of nausea with DS so logically I shouldn't be worried - but I am starting to learn that logic goes out of the window in pregnancy!!

Scan on Friday morning - petrified doesn't cover it!! Xx

ibip i'm waiting to see what I'm having (well secretly just waiting for Thursday to hopefully hear a heartbeat, then I'll be waiting for 20 week scan). I have most big stuff though from DD, we will have to turf her out of the cot bed and transform it back in to a cot. I also want her to change rooms - this isn't going to go well is it!
ps - I think you are super restrained to only dopple once a week :)

santa i hope you feel sick again soon but you already know this pg is completely different to the last two as you've seen a heartbeat! Maybe this one is just a less nauseous pg. I got really car sick today - bloody awful, it lasted a good hour after I got out of the car.

mummy I had hardly any symptoms til about 7 weeks and stressed about it too. I have plenty now! I know it's hard and time goes slowly but try to have faith for the moment, not long til Friday.

pink I didn't buy anything til after 20 weeks last time, and probably won't this time. Doesn't stop me looking at cute little sleepsuits though...

I keep dithering about whether to see the gp, I'm so reluctant to take any drugs with any risk, would probably be wasting their time. It helps knowing that they improved from about 14 weeks with dd and were completely gone by 17, so hopefully only a few more weeks til things improve (nearly 11 weeks now!) Going to get an early night in a mo.

tins - cooked cheese is fine as you will have killed off the listeria bug.
I asked the MW about this on Monday as I had Stilton and broccoli soup on Sunday

Means that baked camembert and toasted sandwiches with brie are back in!
You can also find pasteurised versions of a lot of cheeses now anyway.

DIY you poor poor thing, I can't begin to imagine how awful the migraines are got you. The ho may be able to offer something magic so worth a go.

I risked the gym last night for the first time since BFP, I used to do spin and body combat but decided just to go on the exercise bike and walk up a hill in the treadmill. Bloody hell 3 months of certainly shows . Trying to break myself in slowly and not overdoing it by any means but I've got a consultation with the trainer next week to show me what things i can or can't do. I've put on about 9lbs and really feeling it, I was a 14/16 before pg and had lost 2 stone last year and I really don't want to put in excess so I'm hoping I can keep it at bay as much as possible. I've swapped my extra mature cheddar pregnancy addiction to light babybels. I think I might have to call my baby 'baby belle' at this rate.

I haven't bought anything yet but my mums friend has offered to give me everything she has (she has a 9month old and 2 older kids and said this was the last one) so I've told my mum to take it all and what I don't want or what I would prefer new, they can keep in their house for sleepovers!
