Ha ha garden NO!! Grin

Ooo all these girls on the way Smile I'm 99% sure it's another boy but were not finding out Smile

Yes yes and yes again re fizzy sour sweets Grin

I hate moaning too cos I love being PG the feeling of having the baby inside is amazing (and pink i love being massive makes me feel more pregnant if that make sense?!) but last time was tough with the PGP and birth so I think moaning is inevitable sadly Grin

Bodicea · 19/06/2013 13:28

I have a massive ginger cat too. He is my baby xxx I had a dream that I couldn't breastfeed had no pram and was walking around a massive shop looking for formula I couldn't find with baby under my jumper - but it kept morphing into my cat! Didn't appear to find strange in my dream though.

Santa it is hard but I guess you just get used to it. When i am working i the epau i sometime have to give bad bews 3/4 times in a morning which can be emotionally draining but i honestly don't think about it much anymore as would go mad. i also get to tell people everything looks fine when they are expecting the worst which is awesome. Totally love my job. I am very privileged to get to be part of such a special thing.
.I did mention to my boss that when I become heavily pregnant maybe I should stay out of the epau as it might be a bit hard for patients to receive bad news off a heavily pregnant woman. she looked at me like it was an odd request and the issue had never come up before Confused.

IBelieveInPink · 19/06/2013 14:19

Oh damnit I googled. I shouldn't have done that. The comments on the bump are getting silly now, so I googled what a big bump means.

Someone needs to take google away. It is a very bad thing.

GardenWorm · 19/06/2013 15:25

Pink it means nowt! (other than you are preggers!) STEP AWAY FROM DR GOOGLE he's a fraudsters full of old wives tales and other peoples rubbish. If you could meet the people who posted whatever you have read you probably wouldn't give them the time of day....do I sound like an Internet parental control function?!

Bodicea · 19/06/2013 15:27

Pink remember that dr googles qualifications are rather dicey!

IBelieveInPink · 19/06/2013 15:43

I know all this, yet every time I think if I read something good to justify things I will feel better. :( useless.

I do like the idea of dr googles crappy qualifications though! Ha :)

GardenWorm · 19/06/2013 15:53

...he bought them on the Internet! Boom Boom! Grin

IBelieveInPink · 19/06/2013 15:58

Actually just laughed out loud in the middle of the office! Not helping my discrete blatant abuse of mn during work!! :)

Pentagon · 19/06/2013 16:08

you guys have some really weird dreams!! Wink Pregnancy side-effect!

shell I love having a big bump too - I find it very reassuring and I proudly show it off

ibip noooooooo, don't do that (as my DD says Smile) anyway, having a small or big bump doesn't mean anything at all... it depends on each woman and her body

bod I bet having to deliver bad news is very hard and emotionally draining but most of the time it's good news (right?) and therefore wonderful! It's very nice (and sensitive) of you to ask not to work at the EPAU later on, I hope they can accommodate your request and I'm sure patients will appreciate it!

Not much to report here, I can feel the baby move quite often which is lovely; and getting excited about all the scans on Friday, I look forward to the good news!!

andadietcoke · 19/06/2013 17:07

I now have a proxy Googler. Whenever I want to search for something pregnancy related I ask my sister (nurse) and she has a look for me and tells me only the good stuff she finds.

My bump is different sizes every day - it depends what I'm wearing and where they're lying and how much I had for lunch

BlackholesAndRevelations · 19/06/2013 19:49

Hi ladies. Thanks for making me smile re: funny dreams! I started off having some corkers- wish I'd written then down! Haven't dreamt for a while now though (that I can remember!)

Feeling deflated now after my fab news yesterday. Firstly I've been googling (yes I know- slap with a big smelly gush!!) large nuchal folds and studying my pics for absence of nasal bone. Hmm

Secondly, work is utter shit (and that's all I have to say on yhe matter!) want to quit.

Grr sorry for the negafrickintivity!! Hope you're all good xx

BlackholesAndRevelations · 19/06/2013 19:51

Lol! Don't slap me with a smelly gush!! I meant fish! Haha that's made me smile- good old autocorrect! Grin

BumpKitty · 19/06/2013 19:54

other people commenting on your bump is something you are going to have to block out ibip i've had 'wow, you're massive' and 'god you don't look x weeks' on exactly the same day - both said harmlessly but with the power to throw a pg women into a blind spiral of panic! Seriously, unless it is your mw saying it to you you have to ignore it.

I read a story to DD last night called something like 'When the baby gets here' i couldn't even get to the end I was crying so much! I've just listened to DH reading it to her over the monitor and it's getting to me again. It is nice though - for those of you with toddlers.

gary here's a 'worst sex dream ever' award just for you Grin
bod I think you have an amazing job, I sometimes have to give people (less) crap news too but usually they are cross rather than said (cryptic!). I hope they listen to you about the EPAU.
pentagon yey for the lovely movements :)

Bodicea · 19/06/2013 20:39

That is cryptic bump. I want to know what you do now

Pentagon · 19/06/2013 21:48

bump thanks for the recommendation, I meant to get a "new arrival" book for DD!

black sorry to hear work is getting you down...you'll be on maternity leave in a few months' time, hang on in there! And stay away from Google!! The NT measurement is within the normal range and I'm sure they would have told you if they hadn't seen a nasal bone!

jmf I mean to ask: how was the Harry Potter studio tour? I'm dying to go!

BumpKitty · 19/06/2013 22:01

not that exciting i'm afraid bod civil service level of dullness in fact! Good maternity policy though Grin

Bootyluscious · 20/06/2013 07:32

Glad I'm not the only hairy one! Grin. I didn't know it was meant to mean a boy - that's interesting as where I am at the moment we are having a huge spate of boys being born hmm.......

Janie & Bod - I also have a fat ginger cat & adore him!! He is going to be AGHAST when baby arrives as he hates kids! Grin

andadietcoke · 20/06/2013 08:05

Another one with a big fat ginger cat (and a teeny tortoiseshell/black one). Despite them being from the same litter they couldn't be more different, and DH managed to stand on the little one's head when she was a kitten and we were moving in. As a result she's a bit 'special'. Doesn't bode well for the twins' welfare Wink

andadietcoke · 20/06/2013 08:08

Oh blackholes step away from google images. At my 12w scan they couldn't do the nt measurement and I had to go back after the weekend for a rescan to have another go. I spent the weekend comparing my scan photos to those on google images convincing myself I could see massive NTs on the photos. They'll ring soon if there's a problem, in the meantime try to forget about it xx

JanieLovesLuckySocks · 20/06/2013 08:27

Wow so many big fat gingers!! My guy will be totally put out when bambino arrives (see the posifrickintivity there...when not if!) but I like the idea if him having a little human brother or sister!!

IBelieveInPink · 20/06/2013 08:56

I don't have a fat ginger, but I do have a giant silver tabby. He is going to be MOST put out when baby comes along, partly because his space on the bed will have to be given up when baby is in our room!
I have tried to explain to him about the baby. He tends to just turn his back on me.

WillSantaComeAgain · 20/06/2013 09:02

Our cat was aghast when we bought DC1 home. (Actually, the first time, he was totally nonplussed. It was the second time, after we'd been out, he looked at us as if to say "WHAT???? You bought THAT thing BACK again????") But now he is amazing and will happily subject himself to hours of torture*

bod - that is really thoughtful of you. I hope your boss listens. Perhaps he/she needs reminding that you do (sadly) know what its like to go through and therefore you can speak from experience at saying it would be miserable to be confronted with a heavily pg woman.

I feel such respect for anyone who has to routinely deal with the worst bits of human life - EPAU staff, funeral directors, A&E staff, Macmillan nurses. But then you/they are probably also constantly amazed at how people cope. I'm a wuss though, I work in a profession where I could have gone down the dealing with crap everyday route, but instead chose to become a pen pusher who rarely has to speak to other humans (unless I choose to!!)

Having emotional hormonal overload at the moment. At least I hope its that because today I am feeling like my marriage is dying and will never survive another DC Sad

*Disclaimer: We don't actually allow the toddler to torture the cat. But toddlers do have a habit (when they're learning to stand/walk) of using anything and everything to hoist themselves upright with. And the cat would keep coming back for more.

IBelieveInPink · 20/06/2013 09:17

Oh Santa. Sorry you are so down :( is it the stress of tomorrow sneaking up on you? It can do funny things to people. Feel free to rant if ranting would help I always do!

WillSantaComeAgain · 20/06/2013 10:24

I really don't know what is wrong with me at the moment. I should be glowing - my nausea is fine, my tiredness levels are OK, I've had it confirmed twice already there is a viable pg, but I am miserable. Ungrateful little sod that I am (and feeling guilty about being so miserable too).

Keep hoping the misery will pass and I'll start to be excited, but then all I can think about is how hard it is. (It really isn't that hard - but I can only remember the bad bits at the moment).

I'm being so negative!!! I'm usually a positive person. At what point do you stop blaming hormones and start worrying about ante-natal depression? I don't feel particularly depressed, just like I've got a massive sustained bout of PMT (which I used to control with herbal supplements).

Pentagon · 20/06/2013 10:25

santa what's wrong? Why are you saying that about your marriage? Has sth happened? Sorry you're feeling down and like ibip I hope it's the stress of tomorrow speaking...

So you two have scans tomorrow - who else? I know it was mentioned recently but please remind me
