Rock back and forth?

usernamegoeshere · 16/03/2013 17:05

Pregnancy is so dignified... Try standing up, gravity is your friend

rock side to side and back and forth - I was like this a few weeks ago and I vowed I would NEVER go through it again - since then I have been drinking a glass if not two of prune juice every day - been fine ever since. You can do it!

ExpatAl · 16/03/2013 17:33

Get someone to bring you a book?

HPsauceonbaconbuttiesmmm · 16/03/2013 17:35

Pretend you're doing the hula whilst still sitting. Really works. Tough hopefully it's all done now!

Shybairns · 16/03/2013 17:35

Chop it off half way. And push the rest back up?

GemmaD12 · 16/03/2013 17:41

Thanks everyone.

Still sitting here... Sorry for being so graphic - but the end of it is stuck out of bottom, and I just can't pass it.

This is a nightmare!

Turn to face the side and lean back. X

A live poo birth thread! Let us know when it's born. Head circumference, weight, length etc.

Toilet roll wrapped round hand and pull

Guntie · 16/03/2013 17:51

Do you have a small bin in your bathroom? You need to get it and put it infront of the loo and put your feet up on it so you are like you are in a squatting position. This will make it much easier and a more natural position for it to come out. In most of the world people do not use the loo in a sitting position, rather a squatting one. If you emulate that with something under your feet it should help a lot.

So sorry your having to go through this.

Good luck!

DizzyHoneyBee · 16/03/2013 17:51

Califig.

purrpurr · 16/03/2013 17:52

Seconding the suggestion of getting off the loo and squatting for a bit. The position one gets into whilst on the loo is not always the best for voiding one's bowels. Squatting is more natural. Even less dignified, but stuff it, pregnancy starts with weeing on a stick and goes downhill from there...

Press around your anus to support and reshape whilst bearing down.

IPreferCats · 16/03/2013 17:55

I rarely post but I couldn't miss this!!

I have personal experience of this after c section and was stuck on loo in large ward in hospital for over half an hour. Same thing - half in half out - couldn't move. Shouted for husband to come in but just got moral support - he wasn't prepared to pull!! It eventually did come out - I just had to persevere.

Since then my daughter has had something similar and I literally pulled it out for her - so you could ask OH....or just wait for nature to take its course.

I feel your pain.

fatandlumpy · 16/03/2013 17:57

I'm actually rooting for you!

I'm in the rocking back and forth and raising feet into squatting position camp.

Have you thought of a name yet?

(sorry...)

GemmaD12 · 16/03/2013 17:59

Thanks everyone.

The problem is I'm now panicing and stressing about it, which means I can't push properly!

Nobody's laughing, the sad fact is I've also been there on a few occasions. It's exhausting!

Yes to moving round in circles while swatting. If nothing works, last resort is to take hold of the situation and extract.

It's ok you are not alone Smile

cupcake78 · 16/03/2013 18:01

Squatting! Not swatting Blush

TeaOneSugar · 16/03/2013 18:03

I had the same while pregnant (I have IBS so the hormones played havoc), I had to help it out manually.

It's not pretty but sometimes it has to be done.

Signet2012 · 16/03/2013 18:04

Elevate your feet, lean forward, hold on to something and do circles. It massage between your bum and front bit to help it?

SummerRainIsADistantMemory · 16/03/2013 18:05

Reach back and press on your bum, either side of your anus and squeeze it out.

Signet2012 · 16/03/2013 18:05

Pregnacare tablets did this to me. After I have myself the most horrendous piles I invested in some fruit juice and dried apricots and religiously ate five every day. Boak

But it worked.

Hope it pops out soon!
