Yeah I do but ds feeds two hourly and only ever from one side. I'm not sure if you could do something similar that would work for you?

Hmmm. Not sure. If I didn't feed from one side twice in a row it would be like a boulder!! (Tmi?) But I might be able to leave it one feed and pump the second. My pump is a double which is also handy in terms of speed but only if there is milk ready to come!

Just woke badly hypo(DS woke me) and went badly ott in treating. Huge glass of smoothie - almost a pint - plus two packets of crisps. Not thinking clearly!!

SpottyTeacakes · 15/05/2013 03:09

Mmm midnight hypo binge I'm always doing that!

dieciocho · 15/05/2013 06:25

Urgh, yes over-correction. How are you meant to think about grammes of sugar when you're hypo? Seriously.
I had a small bedtime snack with a bg of 4.1 last night, and woke at 4.3
Great, only what on earth happened in between? I can only assume I had a hypo.

BonaDea · 15/05/2013 08:09

Or maybe would have had a hypo but for the snack? Or do you think dawn p would have made the rise more than 0.2? If you'd have had a hypo I'd have expected higher than 4.3...

Awful night. T just won't settle after eating at night. Am exhausted.

SpottyTeacakes · 15/05/2013 08:23

Bona ds was like that until I put him on his tummy....

Diec I don't think you had a hypo. I think the snack either kept you from having one and kept you level or you went up and had you left it another couple of hours would have had another hypo if that makes sense?

These days I normally have quite bad dawn phenomenon; when V was first born one way I controlled it was by having a couple of units at 3 - 4am.

Got my opthamology appt in for 11th june, scared now Sad

BonaDea · 15/05/2013 15:57

Hoping dont be scared. The thought of it will be much worse than the reality Smile. How are you generally? How are the DCs?

RueDeWakening · 15/05/2013 16:30

I'm being admitted in 5 hours time, still not packed my bag! Have managed to avoid steroids though - went for pre op appt on Friday, the midwife told me they didn't give them after 34 weeks and not to go in. Consultant not best pleased when I saw her yesterday! Grin

Right, need to go and pack something...

SpottyTeacakes · 15/05/2013 16:31

dieciocho · 16/05/2013 08:10

Good luck rue, sorry to post when you're already in hospital!

hoping, was your Levemir wearing off by dinner time? Maybe that caused your bg to rise. What time do you take it?

Hopingforno2 · 16/05/2013 17:25

diec im not sure mayabe thats it i generally take it around 9pm and anywhere from 7.45 and 8.30am?

dieciocho · 16/05/2013 17:42

Oh then, no, it shouldn't be Levemir wearing off. I'd forgotten that you were still splitting it.

RueDeWakening · 16/05/2013 18:21

Congratulations Rue, lovely news! X

Hopingforno2 · 16/05/2013 23:30

Ok ladies a question about contraception what have your doctors advised you use? We used condoms prior to dd and the pill i obv done something wrong as my 1st preg was a suprise. Has any1 had the inj? And does it affect bg? Also googling has said that if you have complications from diabetes then options are more limited?!

SpottyTeacakes · 16/05/2013 23:40

I'm on the mini pill. They won't let me go on the injection (which is what I wanted) due to neuropathy. Ds was conceived with the coil in so that wasn't an option Grin
