Papp-A is Pregnancy-associated plasma protein A - I'll spare you the blurb of what it does etc

Yes, the Harmony test is expensive, but a number of people have mentioned that the Fetal Medicine Centre in London are running a 'promotion' where you get the test together with the nuchal scan for much less ££ (I think it was under £200). Now, I don't know if they are still doing that, but I will phone them next week and find out! If the offer is still on, I'd be very tempted... If not, I won't/can't do it and rely on the NHS
It's just that at my ripe old age, I am very worried about chromosomal abnormalities... And I am almost certain that I could not continue with a pg if they find anything - although DH and I still need to have that discussion... He keeps being very evasive about it, exactly like last time.
DIY I agree that tests are not exact science, and I think there is a massive variability between even the same brands! Please don't worry too much about faint lines/symptoms disappearing, at this stage everything is still soooo random.
Garey B**cks to average age gaps
But strangely enough, that's what I had been aiming for - well, 2 years was my goal. If this one sticks, it'll be 2.5 years, so not too far off
But on a more positive note, tomorrow is my last day in my current job
I'm now at the stage where I'm almost only killing time, just a few more things to tidy up and admin stuff, then I'm free. Such a good feeling.
I need to go now and shred some confident papers and have a natter with the boss's PA
