A place to carry on chatting after a BFP and support each other through the stressful bits. I hope to see many new graduates appearing....

squiz, hope you have some reassurance with the bloods results. for the Junior Dr & his shitty bedside manner.
Sorry you had a crap day yesterday for your car.

shell,so pleased you've got an scan tomorrow, I was 6+6 with this one at my first (private) scan & they found hb with tummy cam, thankfully have avoided the joys of dildocam.

jmf, my mc started an hour after I went for my initial booking apt with GP. Went straight to the MW this time!

Odd Pregnancy Thing; All I can smell is fish, everything tastes like fish. If this is oral thrush I will not be pleased.
Very unpleasant!

Any nice plans for the weekend?
I shall be 22wks tomorrow, DH has just put in his 'maternity support leave'/paternity request..cos, you know, we might be having a baby soon!

GaryBuseysTeeth · 05/04/2013 13:31

Gah! Slow fat finger cross post! Squiz, for your textbook-ness!! Fantastic news.

GardenWorm · 05/04/2013 15:10

Awe Gary your bit about paternity leave is sooo cute!

shellshock7 · 05/04/2013 16:34

Hey squiz that's great news Grin

gary I hope not too, sounds very unpleasant Confused I've forgotten sorry, do you know what you are having?

GardenWorm · 05/04/2013 16:54

Shell YEY for scan tomorrow! Please don't panic about internal one I've had one and it was fine, better than a smear (hoping you are ok with smears!)

Bit annoyed, rang GP to make booking in appt and receptionist tells me it's totally changed and now have to go to local hospital for first appt, they only do it 1 Sunday in 4 and it has to be done before 11wks - well lets hope this wkd isnt the 1 in 4 as I will be 7 wks and can't go this Sunday even if I could get hold of them to arrange it. Nice of my GP to inform me of the new system when I saw her and told her I was pregnant nearly 3 wks ago....

squizita · 05/04/2013 19:28

Gardenworm - receptionists grr... that's why I ended up with the worrying early scan!! She booked an emergency not a routine! Told me you can't book a routine err so how do 12 week ones get booked then??

I am now paranoid my shoulder/back pain is ectopic type symptom. DH said 'does it feel exactly like your normal back pain and is your shoulder clicking like it does in cold weather every year?' I'm like 'Yes' ... err that would be what it is. PARANOID! Thanks to being mid-48hr-bloods.

BumpKitty · 05/04/2013 20:30

Hey squiz I read up on ectopic and it says the shoulder pain is really weird and not something you would have experienced before and that's why it's so useful for spotting an ectopic, also the shoulder pain is caused by internal bleeding so would be pretty odd to have that pain and not any vaginal bleeding.

gary dear god the thought of fish taste/ smell it's making me nauseous, I hope it stops for you soon.

shell ooh a Saturday scan get you! Let us know ow you get on x

garden doctors receptionist's are the embodiment of all that is evil, oh but actually it was your GP that was crap - well they are pretty shit too Grin I hope you can sort out your appt soon

squizita · 05/04/2013 21:58

Bump kitty - thanks, yeah I checked that and rationally its a bad back. Blush in another hilarious paranoid moment, in spite of feeling sick I had some pizza and garlic bread. I still felt sick, but then got some pretty bad sudden wind ... Argh panic stations CRAMPS! ERM except these were the kind that resolve themselves after 5 min in the ladies room saying bye bye to yesterdays dinner and 2 deflatine (suitable for preggers) ... I feel sorry for DH.

By the way if you haven't guessed I do have mild health anxiety so don't worry I know I'm nuts! Grin

BettyFlutterbly · 05/04/2013 22:12

Hi.
I keep popping in to say hi and findig that I've got pages of reading to do to catch up!!
I hope you're all okay and people with scans are excited (and not too nervous)! Fingers crossed.

I had my second scan this week and saw our healthy baby girl. Phew healthy and yey a little sister for dd!
I'm due 13th-15th Aug which is what I had calculated.

My bump is huge and I'm starting to feel heavy and uncomfortable already at 21 weeks. I love having a bump but hate having to work! That's my real moan!!

Gary have you been to the docs in case you have thrush? Try eating.loads of natural yoghurt for a day or two.

Hope you all have a nice weekend.

andadietcoke · 06/04/2013 06:54

Aww Betty a little girl! I can't wait to try and find out although I think the chances of twin 2 cooperating are slim to none on past form. I'm still convinced it's two girls - DH and I have both dreamt it's two girls. This may be because I'm not sure what he'd do with two girls - he's a school teacher now so would be responsible for summer holiday childcare etc, but he's a proper alpha male - ex professional rugby player etc! Saying that, I've had both 'boy' and 'girl' symptoms so who knows!

Shell massive good luck thoughts for today. Try to enjoy it Wink

IBelieveInPink · 06/04/2013 07:16

Betty a girl! How lovely! I thougt (in my naieve days before mc) tht I wanted a boy first. But now I have realised you really don't get to pick and choose whether you have a baby, never mind choosing the flavour, I couldn't care less as long as baby is healthy, but I have also realised j would really like that mother daughter bond. How exciting!

Diet coke - how long now before you find out? Can't be too much longer?

Shell good luck for today! Let us know how you get on, I will be thinking of you!

andadietcoke · 06/04/2013 07:27

ibip 20w scan is the 25th. DH can't come with me as he's got some school cricket thing so my mum's coming instead. Will need to think of a twee way to tell him (if they can see) either way I'm still telling him we're having two girls for fun

JanieLovesCake · 06/04/2013 09:08

Shell just another little good luck message for today. Hope you were able to sleep last night! X

I've been a bit wobbly the last couple of days...just not feeling very of except for big boobies and this is my milestone week from my mc. I woke up this morning and said to DH 'I wish I was getting morning sickness' sob sob. Jumped into the shower and as soon as I finished, lo and behold, a biiiiig wave of the nausea. Now lying flat in bed scared to move in case I actually do need to be sick (I hate puking, always think I'm actually going to die). I think I'll only be happy when there's a baby in my arms!

Am meeting one of my really good friends for her bday today, lunch, cake, cinema so I'm not sure if I'll tell her. Depends if she wants to order wine with lunch I guess eek

shellshock7 · 06/04/2013 10:28

Thanks everyone, am bricking it but hopeful...had my worst day of MS yesterday which was timely Smile

Hey betty lovely that you are having a girl, congrats Grin

Ha ha janie one extreme to the other, it's crazy isn't it, hope you have managed to get up now Smile

IBelieveInPink · 06/04/2013 10:48

Damnit I want some morning sickness!!
Should be gratefull. I know, I know. Waaaa!

JanieLovesCake · 06/04/2013 10:53

I hoovered a banana and was right as rain again thankfully. Maybe the shower was just too hot. Wasn't actually sick. DH might be a bit more sympathetic if there was some actual sick. Boys don't understand us.

squizita · 06/04/2013 11:30

Janie - yeah I feel queasy after a shower too, might be the heat.

Anyone know - is soft poo ( not the runs, just a bit soft and runny but not 'urgent'... TMI) a problem. I have always had wind/soft stools after oily food, and even now have regular stools and they were soft yesterday after some oily pizza (!) but am worried now as constipation is the norm.

shellshock7 · 06/04/2013 11:41

With DS food solved my MS straight away, this time nothing helps!

I had diarrhoea on and off with DS quite badly and MW always said it was normal so I wouldn't worry abt it squiz I think anything goes in PG really Smile

JanieLovesCake · 06/04/2013 11:45

Squiz I'm exactly the same at the minute. I haven't been constipated ever in my whole life, I have had real trouble with my bowels over the past few years, with the urgency to go after eating. Rather than taking my medication I've learnt what and how much I can eat to avoid it, but of self diagnosis as gp said it was ibs and nothing could be done. It could just be a reaction to the oily good that you know doesn't maybe suit your system. It is horrid though so I sympathise x

JanieLovesCake · 06/04/2013 11:55

Ps I forgot to say (sorry tmi but for the purposes of the question!) I've been staying pretty close to the loo for the last 3 days because if an upset tum. I know it's because I've been eating shit food.

Oh and lots if BFPs on the TTC thread this week!! Yay!

squizita · 06/04/2013 12:31

Thanks Janie and Shellshock ... Yup I think it was just too rich for me! I've developed a sweet tooth so I doubt I'll pine away on my low-fat new ways though he he he! Grin

shellshock7 · 06/04/2013 13:43

Sorry for the short post but all was good...just the one in there Smile

IBelieveInPink · 06/04/2013 13:49

Fab news shell! Bet that was a relief! :)

andadietcoke · 06/04/2013 13:53

Shell yay! Brilliant news Grin

GardenWorm · 06/04/2013 14:49

Very happy for you Shell!
