Arabica - sorry you're having to wait another day for news of MRI results. It's enough to drive you insane.

mygirllolipop · 26/05/2006 09:05

Morning, busy, busy today as leaving 2nite will be back tue am. Going out at the wkend and wearing normal going out clothes but methinks it's maternity wear all the way after that.

SnowBoo · 26/05/2006 10:16

Well i've now reached the 30weeks mark! Can't believe that in 10weeks max i will have my beautiful baby. Ds is getting really excited now. Keeps cuddling my belly and baby moves and reaches for him. So now all i have to do is get the bedrooms finished, bathroom finished and start thinking about rounding up my old baby clothes!

Also have scan in 2 weeks so will get a date for the stitch to be removed.

Gosh, i'm HAVING A BABY!!!!! I'm not sure if its hit me yet....

slinkstah · 26/05/2006 11:10

mygirl - where are you off?

snowboo - when i got my stitch removal date things went fast! now its in 5 days and im panicing, i have a huge list of stuff to get done before and no time! I can't actually believe i might have my baby next week Shock

how and where is everyone else?

petunia · 26/05/2006 11:46

slink- Am I included in the "Where is everyone?" I lurk most days to see how you're all doing.

Looking forward to when a few more of you can join us on the postnatal thread.

Arabica · 26/05/2006 13:20

Hello everyone. Slink, so exciting that your baby is nearly here.
SnowBoo, 10 weeks! It's great isn't it, especially when you've been pg for at least 10 years, like me (or that's what it feels like). Officially I have just under 10 weeks but this baby will be born at 39wks at the latest as I am not faffing about with all that labour nonsense. Discovered that if I get a diagnosis of hydrocephalus and baby needs a shunt operation, I may have to have it at Kings in sarf London (where i went for my MRI scan) as that way I would be in the same building as the baby--they don't do shunts at my local hosp.
And no, I haven't heard about the sodding MRI yet, have chased them.

mygirllolipop · 26/05/2006 13:44

Slink - wow 5 days til 'S' day! Just going up home for wkend. To DH's parents caravan near Penrith first.
Arabica - can't believe you are having to wait this long for the results.

slinkstah · 26/05/2006 16:51

mygirl- have a good time:)

arabica- any results yet? they wont make you wait the weekend will they?

pet- course i meant you too lol

well hope everyone has a nice weekend, i am off out to the pub with the gals from the kids school should be fun, although there has been talk of going to the west end partying but i dunno whether im up to that as ill be sober and fat etc

Wills · 26/05/2006 18:01

I'm lurking too - too much of a habit - can't break it Grin

Oh Arabica this is awful wait - came on specifically to see what was happening.

Slink - you'll never be ready - I wasn't/aren't but heck no worries.

Snow - I'm looking at Jake and I still can't quite believe it!

twocatsonthebed · 26/05/2006 18:23

hello world

I'm here too - have been a bit down and so not posting much - nothign too serious in the bigger scheme of things, but am thoroughly bored of still feeling knackered and nauseous at 17 weeks. Plus boss is being an arse - and my normal freelance response would be to sod off and get another contract, but of course that's not so easy right now... So am resigned to counting off the days. Grrrr.

Arabica - hope you get some news soon, it all seems very unfair.

Slink - have a grand night out. Am wedding dress hunting next weekend, so full reports as and when.

Snowboo - hurrah for 30 weeks. I am still outraged about your work and the maternity pay. What are you going to od?

Diddle - how are you liking your mat leave? Any news.

Right, I'm off to watch House of Tiny Tearaways this evening, with the same look of shocked apprehension that Claudia W has whenever she asks a question. Could do with a

twocatsonthebed · 26/05/2006 18:24

....stiff drink. And posting tuition, clearly.

SnowBoo · 26/05/2006 21:47

Arabica, my friends little girl had a shunt put in at 6 months old and she is the brightest sweetest little three year old i have had the pleasure of knowing.

Slink, will be thinking of you with a tinge of jealousy. You must let me know how it goes.

And i can't really believe i've been pg for 30WEEKS! It seems like i'm still only 1st trimester. Til i look in the mirror and get a dig!

Arabica · 26/05/2006 23:19

Still no news, girls. Given up worrying about it as I know now I won't hear anything until Tuesday--hospital told me so when I rang them back AGAIN.

SnowBoo · 27/05/2006 10:42

God, thats really bad Arabica. You would think they'd try and hurry up a bit fgs!

Just put your feet up and enjoy the weekend as like you say no point worrying.

diddle · 27/05/2006 15:00

38 wks for me this week. i feel exhausted.

slink - don't you get beating me and popping that little baby out so soon, try and keep it in for a bit longer.
I so want it here now, i am truly grateful to be pregnant, but i want to see the little bundle that keeps kicking me in the ribs Grin

HellKat · 28/05/2006 05:24

Morning all.
Glad to hear everyone's well.
Slink- Wow nearly time!!!!!

I can't believe how quickly time's flown by. Only seems like yesterday that Diddle was desperate to reach 9 wks & look at you now!
Hard to believe in 4 days I'll be 25 wks. Absolutely flying by!
Hope everyone has a great bank holiday! Off to hang washing as it's going to be nice.
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

SnowBoo · 28/05/2006 14:33

Wow diddle, well done on 28weeks. I really can't believe how quickly its going. Panicking that nothing is going to be ready on time!

slinkstah · 29/05/2006 01:05

tmi warning.....

got a pileAngry a hemoroid pile !!!!
never suffered before but have something sticking out of bumbum:( Ive had really bad constipation for a while and now a pile. im going for the op on wednesday and im gonna be so embarresedBlush

will it go away before baby comes? do i need to put anything on it? any advice appreciated - can't believe i have a pile and im almost at the end of my pg.

HellKat · 29/05/2006 07:39

Slink- Lol!!!!!!!!!!!!! Poor you hun, one thing after another. Now you have a bum grape Wink I think "preparation h" is still available without prescription but not sure what you can take being pg. Ask you pharmacist at your local chemist. They'll know.

SnowBoo · 29/05/2006 21:02

Oh Slink you poor thing! Welcome to my world.... You can use anusol cream or germoloids cream. I prefer anusol as it doesn't stink like the other! And dr says i can use it as often as necc (which is nearly every day!) It should settle down after baby arrives but make sure you have a rubber ring to hand Wink.
And good luck with the removal.

Oh, what are the first symptoms of chicken pox? Ds has been grumpy last couple of days, has high temp and ear ache. Think its prob ear infection but theres been a few cases of C.P at nursery. Any help appreciated!

slinkstah · 30/05/2006 00:53

i hope your right snowboo and it will go after baby comes, i might go and get some cream tommorrow, i have almost got over the shock of it and read on the internet that its quite normal etc but i was horrified at first seeing such a weird thing in that place Blush
it started bleeding slightly today and i asked my dp whether it will grow and grow and pop and blood will splat everywhere- i was being serious, but he didn't stop laughing for ages.

Anyway i have started getting really freaked out as wednesday is very soon and i am not ready to have a baby, not mentally ready than anything else.
i have only just started to enjoy pg (apart from the pile) i finally relaxed as i know now that i am not gonna go into preterm labour etc but i would like a bit longer before baby falls out of my knackered cervix.
im worried about having a spinal aswell as i really hate them and im worried about going into labour straight away. i really hope i get out of hospital still pregnant.
i know the drs don't want me to have a homebirth so am paranoid they might irritate my cervix more than neccessary to put me into labour so i can't leave.
omg the panic and paranoia, somebody slap me!

i think the first signs of chicken pox is just unwellness, like flu symptoms, have you had chicken pox before if so you will be fine. I had to ring my mum and ask her when i was pg last time, as a kid i knew got chicken pox. hope ds feels better soon.

how is everyone else doing?
i always seem to post at night at the mo, thats how busy i have been getting ready for the stitch removal lol but bags are finally packed, i had to upgrade to a suitcase as ran outta space in my backpack Blush

Arabica · 30/05/2006 09:40

Oooh sympathies for your pile. Glad you're finally relaxing and enjoying your pregnancy, make the most of it!
Am nervous because supposed to get call from hospital today but am not holding my breath!

mygirllolipop · 30/05/2006 10:00

Slink – put cream on pile, esp if you will be embarrassed at op (good luck for that). And here’s a virtual slap to stop you feeling paranoid!
Arabica – hope you get some good news today.
I had a lovely wkend although have sore throat from the pub we went to and it didn’t seem smoky and I wasn’t shouting. Had MW apt on Fri, she just done BP and urine, I asked for a home birth she said no bother and said they wouldn’t listen for HB until after 20wk scan which is fine by me. As for movements v erratic, mostly everyday, flutterings now I’m starting to get the stronger kicks which is exciting!

slinkstah · 30/05/2006 11:10

will pile cream shrink it in time for tommorrow??

does that mean you are having a HB mygirl- that will be great:)

good luck arabica with the results today i hope they are good news. i think you should call them before they forgot to call again, its been so long now too.

diddle · 30/05/2006 11:59

oh slink - STOP STRESSING it will all be fine. don't get any plans in your head and then nothing can go wrong. If baby is ready to come then it is better for baby that it comes out, at hosp or home. maybe as soon as you come round from the removal, you could discharge yourself and go snuggle up at home.
Feel very sorry for you and your pile, must be so uncomfortable. Slap the cream on it!!! won't do any harm.
