knicky thanks for pic. he's absolutely gorgeous and perfect. Theres nothing like a little baby boy. Makes me terribly impatient! Xxxx

BadMissM · 23/03/2013 14:32

ChairmanWow Jumping? Pineapple? You-know-what? A hefty curry? Good luck with getting that sweep! Smile

Somewhere Ouch for the midriff pain! I thought that my (still increasing) F cups were bad enough!

Sadly, as can't take big desktop into maternity ward, have to hint nicely to DD and DH about phones for when I do or I won't be able to post and will be bored to death

Just waiting to see what the court says and does now we've put the paperwork in re: ex..... Just hope DH doesn't get arrested.....! If he does, will lose his job, but she doesn't care about that/is doing it on purpose. She's made it abundantly clear that she would like us all to be living in a bedsit, starving....

We have the arctic winds, the flurries, the freezing weather, but no damn snow. Being by the sea means we rarely get it.... Just generally foul instead!

Knicky will be popping over to have a look at the photo of your little lovely! DD had a full head of black hair, which fell out and grew back blonde....Here's hoping the placidness lasts!

'just been to look' Oh, he's LOVELY!!!!! Like somewhere said, can't wait for mine now!!!

Any news fron chairmanW or MrsW on progress? Hope no news is good news and something is happening!

I'm a bit tired...one of my friends decided to 'pop' round at about 10.30 last night and have an emotional meltdown until about 1.00 am.... involving husband who is she's separated from ,and affair with bf's husband, who is also her carer...she also has 2 LOs... then DH walked her home as it was 1.00am (he had had wine so wouldn't drive), so we didn't get to bed til 2, we thought our lives were confusing enough....

MrsWooster · 23/03/2013 14:34

Stand by! They managed to break the waters about 1.30 so I'm mn'ing whilst rotating on a beach ball wearing just a t shirt. There's an image to conjure with. No pain so far tho I suspect that may change at some point soon...!

BadMissM · 23/03/2013 14:48

MrsWooster Oooooooooh! Fingers toes and extremities crossed for you!!!!!!! xxxxxx

ChairmanWow · 23/03/2013 15:09

knicky he's beautiful. Thanks for posting his photo. Sounds like he's settling in brilliantly. My DS was similar sleep-wise. Very happy to drop off in his Moses and slept more at night right from the start. At 2 he's still the easiest kid to out to bed - just wants his milk and cuddly cow, not bothered about a story. Put him down and never hear a peep from him. Hopefully little Luke will stay a chilled out wee boy. Hope DD is coping well with her little brother on the scene.

mrsw thinking of you. I hope it's all happening for you and baby W is with you soon

I''m getting lots of bad back and abdo pains and tightenings, but after 2 false alarms I'm not counting my chickens. Just comforting myself with the fact that she'll be either here or on the way this time next week.

scarecrow22 · 23/03/2013 15:33

MrsW great news. Hope you go quiet for - what would be a good Goldilock's time? 3-4 hours? - and return with joyful tidings. Take good care.

BadMiss just had get a personal mobile because left work for a while. Got an HTC Desire c smart phone, 500mins/5000texts/500MB data for £10 a month (sign up two years). Am super impressed with it, though not yet checked if can put MN on it! It's android, so can't see why not,,,

Excuse not checking all. V tired though so loving idea have some time to get ready for LO xxx

scarecrow22 · 23/03/2013 15:35

BadMiss should have said with Tesco Mobile. Feel like a salesman, but think good option financially.
Phone free too, btw.

GoatBongosAnonymous · 23/03/2013 19:47

badmissm a phone with Internet is the single most essential thing for bfing... Smile I would have gone bonkers without it!

notsoold · 23/03/2013 20:17

Mrswooster....hope everything is going well!!!!
Chairman....that is a good way to think about....:)

BadMissM · 24/03/2013 00:15

Well, that was an interesting day I don't wish to repeat. DH and I were going to Asda (a five minute drive) to get some tobacco (for him, not me). Driving down our road (main road) when some lunatic taxi driver in a minibus pulled out of a side road at speed, heading straight for our car (which was on the crossroads). He was literally heading straight for the passenger side (with me in it) til DH accelerated and swerved (because he wasn't stopping). He hit the back third of our car and made us spin.

He stopped, came over, and then offered to pay us for the damage and not go through the insurance....very dodgy. tried to suggest not much wrong with our car til I got out and said it may well be damaged underneath and that at 5 1/2 months pregnant I didn't need this shit.... He gave DH his details (but not insurance details), and ran off quickly (he had passengers in his taxi...)

Tried to ring the Police (who didn't answer) so we had to go to the Police station to report it. Annoyed because they could have told whether he was drunk or not, etc. When we went to the station, they weren't bothered.

DH was worried sick about effect on me and bump.....

Went to the hospital, first had to get bump checked out at the Maternity Unit (all was OK), and then spent 3 more hours in A & E getting the whiplash sorted. By sorted, I mean no-one even looked at it, they gave me a leaflet about neck exercises....even though I already have neck problems.

What a great day....

cyclecamper · 24/03/2013 10:36

That sounds awful badmiss. Look after yourself and make sure you chase the police up. (I'm a bit biased because of the met having a tendancy to 'lose' paperwork, and not find details, especially on black cabs Angry). Also pester to be seen properly if you have any neck problems - keep pestering until you get proper attention. I hope you recover from the shock. Brew

BadMissM · 24/03/2013 16:48

cyclecamper At least the Public Carriage Office can track down black cab drivers.... here it's all Private Hire and they are very dodgy. Will chase the Police up, have been on to insurers... Neck problems hahaha! They gave me a leflet on 'neck strain' even after I told them I had had 10+ courses of physio on the neck before this!

cyclecamper · 24/03/2013 17:57

The PCB is run by taxi drivers as far as I can tell. The best you normally get from them is 'we'll mention there was a complaint', and you are lucky to get that much if you aren't a paying customer. It's shocking the poor care you seem to get Sad. Glad the bump is ok, anyway.

scarecrow22 · 24/03/2013 17:57

BadMiss so sorry about your accident. How scary. Glad nobody badly hurt and hope the police catch this guy very soon.

NotSoOld, wonderful about 9wk scan. So nearly 12 weeks so hope rest of that goes well and we can enjoy your company for a lot longer...

Chairman & MrsW, hope silences bode well. I'm guessing once MrsW's waters broken she's in hospital til LO arrives....Chairman if LO still hiding in there obviously for a good reason - you must be a lovely place to hide out ;)

Somewhere hope bump pain subsided again and fatigue lifting, or at least DP able to help out this weekend.

AFM the dominant thought in my head is MAKE THIS SICKNESS GO AWAY. PLEEEEEAAASSSEEEE. I'm so so over feeling so nauseous. I did have a few weeks off - the lovely bit where the fatigue was so bad I ended up signed off work - and now it's back with a vengence. Bleurgh Confused. More cheerfully having a lovely family weekend - have joined a sports club and spent lovely mornings lunging, I mean entertaining, DD in amazing soft play, and then swimming. I even got in 10 lengths myself which was a huge treat - my first swim for an age. Have capped DD's nap to 1.5 hours and a combo of everything means wake up now heading steadily towards 6.20-30 this week, which is wonderful. DH went out and got hammered again on Fri -I retaliated by making him get up with us after 3hrs sleep and join the club and presented him with a long list of DIY chores and a big shopping list.

Hope you've all had good weekends x

ChairmanWow · 24/03/2013 20:24

badmissm what a horrible experience that must have been. Thank god for your DP's quick thinking, and yay for bump being fine. Not so good for your neck though. I hope it doesn't cause too many problems. Sounds uninsured doesn't he? I hope you catch him and he has the book thrown at him. Thanks Thanks Thanks

scarecrow lovely place to hide out, what a nice way to put it. At a statuesque 5'1" I can't imagine I am particularly comfy. Maybe my babies like a compact and bijou wombette to snuggle down in. Not so comfy for me. I had a big wobbly last night when several hours of pains ended nowhere yet again. I threw a saucepan lid on the floor (nearest thing to hand Blush) and it shattered. They're really good saucepans as well - gutted! DH was lovely and gave me lots of hugs. Actually that makes me sound a bit unhinged. I'm really not in the habit of throwing things, I promise.

Anyway, hospital in the morning and if I'm not walking like John Wayne afterwards I'll be very disappointed. MW had better have her hand do far up she's tickling my chin Shock

Anyway I digress - great revenge there scarecrow. I'm sure DIY on 3 hours' sleep with a banging head is a most enjoyable experience. ATM I can't imagine it being any harder than pregnancy though - and don't let him forget it. If he complains of nausea you've got the trump card on that one. In fact I think part of the reason my DH is so nice is that my bro said to him last time I was pregnant that no matter how hard he thinks he's got it as soon as your DW plays the pregnancy card you have no comeback. 'Suck it up' were his actual words. Perhaps this should be parenting 101 for all prospective dads at the point of conception.

Big wave to all the other laydeez. Will let you know how tomorrow goes (hoping they examine me and say 'oh my, you're 7cm. Let's get that birth pool running!')

BadMissM · 24/03/2013 21:16

cyclecamper, here, they won't even give you any details of if they are really a taxi driver.....

scarecrow That would be if the Police were bothered by it.....

Poor you feeling so nauseous...I haven't had that for weeks. Tee hee for making the DH do the m orning shift after the night before....

I've had DH making shelves today, on the threat that there would be no room for the Lo if not Smile

ChairmanW That's what I thought. Wish I'd given him a breathalyser...we had them in the glovebox from France last year.... My insurance company struggled to find him, and apparently he insures monthly...not monthly payment, lietrally a policy a month...sounds dodgy...

How are you? Any movement on the LO front? LO must be literally out sideways if you're 5'1'', you're smaller than me!!! Your brother sounds like a wise man!!!

I'd be throwing things too, if it was me Smile. Hope that midwife does her magic tomorrow!

Me...knackered after the fun and games yesterday..still attempting to sort the spare room so LO has space! On top of that French part of family threatening to appear in August!

JBrd · 24/03/2013 21:29

BadMiss That sounds horrific! Really not what you need, and the cab driver really sounds very dodgy! What about his passengers, where they not interested in all of it? I think I would be, if my taxi driver causes an accident... Some people!

MrsW Good luck, hope it all gets moving soon!

scarecrow Is that still/again morning sickness? How many weeks are you? How rubbish...

I've had a real wash-out day today, I'm so so tired! Not sure if it's from being pg or the aftermath from my job interview on Friday and all the stress that led up to it... I slept for over 2hours this afternoon (DS was having a monster nap, bless him), but I still feel really groggy. Early night for me!

Sorry for not more name-checking, hope everyone's doing fine!

MrsWooster · 24/03/2013 21:29

Hello from me and babyWooster! Born Saturday night at 10.21, 6lb14oz. We're home now and wondering what to do with someone so tiny! Birth story etc, inc all tmi, to follow.

Brilliant news! Congratulations MrsWooster SmileFlowersFlowersFlowersBrew

blueblackdye · 24/03/2013 21:53

wonderful news MrsW ! welcome baby Wooster, baby KK has an other playmate ! we are now waiting for baby Wow to join the Easter party
BadMissM, I can't believe that. It sounds like you live in the 4th dimension, poor you.

JBrd · 24/03/2013 22:01

Congratulations, MrsW, and welcome to babyW! Hope you are all doing well and enjoying this precious time Thanks

ChairmanWow · 24/03/2013 22:29

Wahey! Welcome baby Wooster, and congratulations to your lovely mum Thanks Thanks Thanks. Hope you're all settling in well and look forward to hearing more soon. Xx

notsoold · 25/03/2013 00:44

Congratulations mrswooster and welcome babywooster!!!!

somewherebecomingrain · 25/03/2013 08:59

mrsw how wonderful! Welcome baby Wooster !!! ThanksThanksThanksThanks So pleased for you and look forwards to birth story.

badmissm that's awful - so sorry but glad your bump ok.

wow it REALLY can't be long now. Don't blame you at all for throwing things. Totally understandable. I hope you are not in a lot of pain. Glad your dp has got his priorities right ... Not sure mine has really understood - he could do with that same talk. He thinks I'm milking it.

scarecrow can't believe you've joined a gym in your last trimester! Sums you up - you go girl! Grin

AFM, mil has moved in. The stuff she has brought is beautiful - she's an artist - and she doesn't seem to mind our stuff. The look of the flat is enhanced by the combination. A superficial evaluation perhaps but I feel it's a good sign. We've had some lovely dinners.

Dp will be off from Friday which is manna from heaven - hopefully I can do very little from that point on till my section. Despite freeing my bosoms Confused I still have splitting pain and clearly am going to have to do tupler exercises after (special exercises for repairing post pg tummies).

Does anyone else who is due soon feel massive baby brain? I am in a fug. I'm slightly boring myself. My world is shrinking to a baby- size. Food, digestion, sleep, cuddles are the issues that burn bright - cant be assed with fashion or travel or gossip let alone politics, the economy, Syria - and climate change must be kept at a very big distance, too distressing. Does anyone feel similar? I'm v sensitive to hormones so maybe this is what an oxytocin od looks like.

knicky and wooster hope you doing good going to lurk and follow your progress on the mums thread.

Xxx
