Coke, DR Pepper, Peppermint tea are fairly helpful to me as well as grazing on bland foods

ChickenMe · 12/09/2014 16:28

Oh and orange ice lollies

TheScenicRoute · 12/09/2014 19:37

Someone told me that as well, I felt awful an hour later. It's evil stuff!

This pregnancy coke/or similar has been working for me. I think my MS comes when I'm tired or have low blood sugar so a burst of sugar helps me a lot.

MoominKoalaAndMiniMoom · 12/09/2014 20:45

If you do make sure it's flat... I had fizzy cola one morning in the hope it would ease the morning sickness. It actually made my stomach feel like a blender Envy

Beachfarmandzootoo · 12/09/2014 20:53

I had MS from week 7ish to week 42 - hope yours decides to go away soon! Ice cubes, ice lollies, anything v cold was ok. Appletise (from a can...was good (the colder the better) and apparently it's even one of your five a day Grin

Im 11+5 ive had pretty bad nausea although only been sick a couple of times.

things that have helped are.....

Ribena - blackcurrant flavour and the pineapple and something flavour, I keep a carton by the bed and drink it before I get up.

dry crackers
bananas
chewits
orange juice

natharley11 · 13/09/2014 10:51

diet coke helps mine and I had hyperemisis. only thing that doesn't tend to leave metallicy taste. mw wasn't too worried unless start drinking 8/9 litres a day which obv not xx

Jemimapuddleduk · 13/09/2014 10:56

It really helped me in my second pregnancy. I totally craved it though so enjoyed drinking it.
On my first pregnancy lemon/orange fizzy drinks or that innocent lemon and line juice really helped ease the nausea.
Salt and vinegar crisps each time, the stronger the better!

guaranteedpersonality · 13/09/2014 11:03

I had hypermesis the whole pregnancy with both pregnancies and though I normally can't stand full sugar coke I absolutely craved it on occasion when pregnant. For me the fizzier and colder the better.

The only thing that bought me momentary relief from the nausea was absolutely ice-cold sparkling water or soda water and for some strange reason raspberry milkshakes. Everything else increased the metallic taste in my mouth.

I've been having horrible morning sickness and coke seems to be the only thing that stops the nausea

raviolidreaming · 30/12/2016 13:44

Peanuts are fine to eat unless you're allergic to them!
