Hello everyone.

I'm 39+5 and since I've been getting loads of encouraging signs that labour is imminent (lots of discharge, bowels opening, lots of braxton hicks that occasionally go regular.) I saw my M/W yesterday who booked me in for a sweep next week in case I hadn't started properly.

Today I just feel like I've been punched in the ribs (like I'm winded and bruised). Every now and again I feel like it stings so bad in my pelvic area (generally all the way around) and the braxton hicks have gone. I'm absolutely exhausted from about four days of constant contracting.

Seriously! What's going on! Can't it just come out!

Not me either... Feeling thoroughly fed up tonight! For the past few evenings my bump has been really uncomfortable, cramps and lots BH which haven't been painless, but otherwise nothing else going on. I didn't have all this with ds and don't know if it's a precursor to things kicking off, or if it is just that I'm not able to rest what with looking after ds and so my bump is just sore in the evenings as a result. Whatever the reason, I'm uncomfortable! Scared of labour and birth - even though it was straightforward enough last time - but ready for baby girl to come out now, I feel completely useless and unable to achieve anything while I'm aching this much. Grrrr!

Me neither Sad had midwife appt today - she's booked me go for a sweep next week at 40+8. And she confirmed that if I'm induced I WON'T be able to have my water birth go the birthing centre. Which has really upset me - at our ante-natal class the midwife said it might be possible to still have it if we were induced... But anyway, trying to think positive. I described the feelings I've been having, and she said they sound like contractions and baby moving down so good signs I guess. Went for a brisk walk into town today after my appt, then ended up re-washing a load of baby bedding as one of our cats has worked out how to open the dons to the baby's room and taken a shine to sleeping in the cot! Then went on a washing/ironing frenzy before finishing off my due date vindaloo and starting to watch downton abbey from the beginning... DH says I'm being really grumpy and he in turn is really pissing me off annoying me. So all in all, being overdue SUCKS!!!
And I only have myself to look after - mummy2benji I really feel for you!!! Our luck on this thread has to turn sometime - come on babies, get a move on!!!
