A quick poll - when did you give birth to your first?

I think it's something like 60% go overdue with their first isn't it? Just thought id do a quick poll to see when yours arrived.

I'm a few weeks off yet (34+2) and expecting to be late as my mum was both times (not sure if this has any bearing in it...

No 1 - 1 week overdue but wasn't convinced on dates given by midwife and that includes 36 hour labour and then a section- he was a large baby!

No 2 - 6 days early by elc - just becasue that was the day they booked in elcs and I wasn't prepared to wait until 1 day overdue given previous experience!

DD1 born 39 weeks.

DD2 born due date after being induced - 2hr labour. Smile

DD 40+11, had a horribly uncomfortable sweep to start it off. Waters broke early. Everything sore from the get-go so had a very early epidural.

34+0! Interestingly though nobody in my mum's family have ever reached their due date, most babies born between 36-38 weeks.

41+11 Shock - induced. But I am sure that they got my dates wrong by 2 weeks.

4 days early. As she was 9lb12 glad it didn't go all the way.

All of mine were early, ds was 9lb3 (t - 9) and dd2 at 37 weeks.

I've never been overdue.

40+2 early morning but went into labour late evening at 40+1

First baby - 38+3
Second baby - 40+11
Third baby - 40+ 7

For what it's worth, my second baby (induced, 9lb 1oz) was my quickest and easiest, most natural birth so induction doesn't always end badly!

Dd1 - 40 + 1 but went into labour on due date, 8 and half hrs est labour
Dd2 - due date, 3 hrs est labour

Induced at 38 weeks, pre-eclampsia diagnosed that day. Immediate induction, failure to progress and emcs.

Went into labour around midnight on my due date (well my waters broke - I didn't start contractions until they gave me drugs 24hrs later...). DD arrived at 40+2 (evening).

So fairly bang on. But I was totally sure of my dates.

DC1 on the day she was due. DC2 was at 38 weeks, DC3 at 37 weeks, DC4 I made 'em induce me 3 days after due date.

40+13. Escaped induction by 12 hours!
