Oh boy, so much. Pate, naughty cheese, gin and tonic. Sleeping on my front.
Sex in a variety of positions which are currently impossible. (Might be a while I suppose).
Oh and being a mum. Obviously. Blush

Orenishii · 11/09/2012 19:18

Most definitely snuggling on the during the winter evenings with new baby and DH.
Sex.
Sleeping on my front.
Being generally comfortable walking around, sitting, lounging, bending over, sleeping etc.

That's pretty much it, really!

attheendoftheday · 11/09/2012 19:18

If I'd been asked this during my first pregnancy I'd have said nice cheese and sleeping on my back at night. Unfortunately this is my second pregnancy so I know that I will have no opportunity for relaxing sleeps or pleasant meals with a newborn.

PrimaBallerina · 11/09/2012 19:18

Wine and decent cheese, all of which appears to be banned.

Badedas (sp?) original is recommended for after birth as it has some sort of healing properties - horse chestnut maybe. It smells nice apparently. I'll be smothering myself head to toe in cocoa butter and bio oil for the months that follow too.

Smicha · 11/09/2012 19:20

Aside from meeting my baby, so, so much. I have gestational diabetes so nice food has been off the menu for a while... I have made a request to DH for a Chilean sauvignon blanc (specific type, served ice cold), a homemade Victoria sponge cake, chocolate and lots and lots of soft, creamy cheese. I also can't wait to be able to climb out of bed in a normal manner again!!

ellangirl · 11/09/2012 19:21

I was desperate to sleep on my front last time, except in reality I couldn't cos my boobs hurt or it made them leak everywhere! I'm looking forward to being able to pick something off the floor without emitting an involuntary 'oof' sound, and fitting back into some normal clothes as I hate hate hate maternity wear and I am sick of wearing the same things!

TitsalinaBumSquash · 11/09/2012 19:25

I'm looking forward to losing all this excess weight and hopefully feeling more human than I do now! Oh and eating a big fat rare steak!

2blessed · 11/09/2012 19:35

the smell of my LO, pate, brie, a cold glass of champagne and bending over without losing my breath

3rdbump · 11/09/2012 19:41

sauvignon blanc - yum i almost forgot!!

bangersmashandbeans · 11/09/2012 19:52

Sleeping on my front or back, a large bottle of Marlborough Sauvignon, a very very hot bath, and exercise!

MeltedMoments · 11/09/2012 20:15

I've got GD too and I can't wait for orange juice and a sugary jam doughnut!

Purplecatti · 11/09/2012 20:18

sex - my husband won't touch me 'as it might scare the baby' Shock
vodka - with coke, lemon and lots of ice

crazypaving · 11/09/2012 20:36

Purple ha ha at scaring the baby!!

I'm looking forward to sleeping on my back again - last time I was looking forward to sleeping on my front but it was months before I could, like ellangirl. Damn boobs Angry I LOVE sleeping on my front Sad

I'm trying to keep my hopes up but like attheendoftheday am aware that lovely meals and sleep may be off the agenda for a while....sigh.

Also looking forward to being able to move around more freely, and just not feeling like a clumsy heffalumping blob. Hoping my pelvis holds out so I can run around after DS not too long after the birth.

dietcokeandwine · 11/09/2012 20:58

meeting/cuddling/feeding my baby
being able to cuddle older DC without constantly saying 'careful of my tummy'
not feeling sick/crippled with trapped wind/constipated all the flipping time (no letup at 20weeks Sad)
lovely lovely oxytocin release during nighttime BF which always helps me zonk straight back to sleep once babe has zonked (I don't sleep well during pg AT ALL and even broken new mum sleep is better than what I get at the moment)
lying on my back without feeling sick/breathless
chomping my way through a big bowl of dry roasted peanuts, a large chunk of creamy Brie and some delicious parma ham
washed down with a very very large glass of perfectly chilled Oyster Bay sauvignon blanc (has to be Oyster Bay nothing else will do!)

Obviously meeting baby is most important bit. But am so looking forward to the wine Blush Grin

greenbananas · 11/09/2012 21:35

DH having 2 weeks off work and entertaining our 4 year old / doing everything around the house, while I laze around on the sofa breastfeeding the baby and reading books ("sorry darling, I'd love to help you with the washing up but I can't because I'm feeding the baby Grin and while you're up could I please have a cup of tea?") - it is going to be bliss!

TodaysAGoodDay · 11/09/2012 21:39

I had rare steak, blue cheese dressing and a glass of Wine. Breakfast was toast with two runny-yolk eggs. Utter bliss!

NervousAt20 · 11/09/2012 21:43

I was going to say sleep on my front and pray that I can Sad something alcoholic, having my memory back and just holding my LO

Emmiedarling · 11/09/2012 21:49

running. Buying normal clothes. Having my body back!

MB34 · 11/09/2012 21:56

Can't wait to meet my baby and just look at him - I can look at newborns for hours!
Can't wait to get back into my nice clothes again that are just sitting in the wardrobe (and lose the flab that has accumulated upon my person by eating more cakes than I should lol!)
Can't wait to have a cocktail, eat uncooked chorizo and taste my MIL's homemade pate at Christmas

Oh, and stop dribbling when I sleep - I never did this before I was pregnant!!

oscarwilde · 11/09/2012 22:54

A really strong martini......might be a while though :(

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 11/09/2012 22:58

Apart from newborn hugs etc,
Eggs with soldiers (there is no point in an egg that isn't runny: fact!)
Sleeping on my back again
Being able to walk faster than a snail and farther than the corner shop

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 11/09/2012 23:01

Oh and sexy underwear. Currently I'm wearing what can only be described as a drab hammock and fat pants.

Evilwater · 12/09/2012 04:57

A huge prawn cocktail, with mussels cooked in white wine. How I have missed sea food. Sad for a drink a nice glass of cider or mead. Grin

Evil

ComradeJing · 12/09/2012 05:38

After dd1 I said a hot bath. Bugger all time for that in reality.

Now it's just the fact that I'll have got through the next 10 weeks without having a breakdown.

roundtable · 12/09/2012 06:02

Not being in chronic pain and not having to travel all over the place for hospital appointments.

On a lighter note, sorry I can't sleep and I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself, giving my baby a big sniff; having a ice cold, glass of wine; my dh being off work for a bit and my going to be 15 month old meeting his new baby brother. I'm hoping he will be out of the biting stage by then

Roll on December Grin
