I'm not a December girl... October for me Smile but I just wanted to suggest you look in the antenatal topic, I imagine that's where they're all hiding.... Good luck Grin

Hello Kizza,

My little boy is due December 2nd! As I type this he is wriggling away like a jumping bean!

This is my first (and only) pregnancy, I've already decided I only want one. Had virtually no morning sickness, had a thing for apple juice for a couple of weeks only. Like you, have fab hair and nails, so far no stretch marks (I imagine that will change Sad )

Have you signed up to and antenatal classes? My NCT classes start in September. I don't know any one with babies or young childrem , so looking forward to making new friends.

Good luck with everything xxx

minipie · 18/07/2012 22:12

Hello! Come and join us in Antenatal Clubs - the latest thread is called Christmas elves and fairies I think.

WeeDot · 19/07/2012 12:02

I am due on 14th December.

Just hopping over to antenatal thread now Grin

Kizza2 · 20/07/2012 10:17

the other december threads are so big- i always loose my place in them :(

thought it will be nice to have a private one here- if other december mummies want to join me, that will be great.

coffeeandcream- i booked for my first one but never got to go as he was born three weeks before classes were to start. second time round, we are wondering if they can teach us anything we dont already know !! but if it is ur first time go for it!!- i have heard so many wonderful things about NCT and u meet so many people!! it will be a great experience.

so how are mummies doing? any cravings? anyone getting outwardly emotional? i havent had any movements yet :(

i started to get all wobbly and weepy when the torch went through Brentwood....not sure if thats anything to do with the pregnancy hormones

Hello I am due in december 2 :)

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 20/07/2012 11:19

My DD2 was born 22nd Dec and is now a happy 7month old munching away on a pancake Smile it was lovely having a baby right on top of Xmas - only downfall was that she was born poorly and had to spend until Xmas day afternoon in scbu. Was nice to come home on Xmas day with a healthy baby and to a huge roast dinner Grin

WeeDot · 20/07/2012 14:03

Kizza2 I agree I find them too long and can't really get involved in them. I will join you on this thread :)

I have had cravings for crisps mainly, loads of crisps. Not too many weepy moments but it doesn't take much to set me off these days.

I have been feeling movement and small kicks for about a week now (I am 19 weeks)

When are you due?

CharleyAB · 20/07/2012 14:33

Hiya, I'm due 13th December and have massive bump envy! Good to meet you all x

WeeDot · 25/07/2012 14:11

Just bumping this one up :)

ItsMyLastOne · 25/07/2012 15:07

I'm due on December 3rd and I also gave up on the December antenatal thread as it moves too quickly!

This is DD2 for me. I've been feeling movements from very very early on, but I did with DD1 too. Now her kicks are so strong, she can move things pressing agains my belly!

Early on I had cravings for fruit and veg, now just chocloate! I think I might be putting on 3.5 stone again like I did last time. Blush

WeeDot · 25/07/2012 15:38

ItsMyLastOne I have been getting movements from 16 weeks and now have really strong kicks visible to others. I am going for my 20 week scan tomorrow. Grin

It's carbs for me, I can take or leave chocolate but bread and rice are my kryptonite

ItsMyLastOne · 25/07/2012 16:24

Is this your first WeeDot? Last time I felt movements from 13/14 weeks but his time it was 12 weeks. Think it must just be the position of the baby/my uterus/placenta or something. Confused Both times it's been the same feelings getting stronger and more frequent so it can't just be wind and my wind feels very different!

WeeDot · 25/07/2012 16:41

Yeah it's my first, MW was quite surprised when I turned up at 16 week appointment with a bump. Apparently that doesn't happen very often. I am slender though and DP is a big bloke! I reckon it's gonna be a big baby Shock

ItsMyLastOne · 26/07/2012 11:45

I didn't have a bump as such when I was 16 weeks with DD1 but I had put on 16lbs! Blush I hope for your sake the baby's not too big!
On the measurements from my 20 week scan with this one, the baby has a small head, despite DP, DD and I all having huge heads. At least if it stays that way it'll be easier to push out!

Dinosaurdrip · 27/07/2012 10:02

Hi I'm due December 23rd with dc3, have had a visible bump since about 15weeks, but this is probably because is dc 3 and ds1 and 2 were both nearly 10lbs so not small. I have also felt movement since about 11/12 weeks and craving fruit at the moment although last week was carbs.

Have 20 week scan in 2 weeks and can't wait firstly to see that everything is ok but also cos I can't wait to find out the sex. (think its another boy) will you all find out what sex you're having or go for the surprise?

ItsMyLastOne · 27/07/2012 12:21

I wanted a surprise but DP didn't so we did find out. He was convinced it was a boy, I had no feelings either way, but it's another girl. It's going to save seriously on the spending for the baby, but I'm sure I'll have to buy a few things! Wink

We've got a 4D scan in 2 weeks which I'm excited about too. Is anyone else having one of those scans?

inge69 · 27/07/2012 12:24

hi, new on mumsnet, so please be patient. Surprised to find out I was pregnant as was told can't have babies about 6 years ago!

I'm due on the 18th Dec. Excited, scared and no idea about being a mum or what to expect in the next few months! had tiny flutters a few days ago, and now as I'm typing but not sure if wind or little one!

any advice from anyone would be helpful. 20 week scan next week.

ItsMyLastOne · 27/07/2012 12:35

inge congratulations! I was also told I couldn't conceive so we stopped using protection and I fell pregnant with DD 6 weeks later! It took longer this time though.

I'd say if you think they're flutters then they probably are. With DD I had what felt like bubbles at first. With this one it started off more like movement and, weirdly, little tiny kicks. Both times it's been the same feelings getting stronger and more frequent. You'll probably realise in a couple of weeks that they were quite clearly baby movements but you're never sure with your first I suppose.

In terms of being a mum and what to expect, I still have no idea what I'm doing. I do find it amazing that I've kept DD alive for so long and that she was actually inside me a couple of years ago. And I'm terrified of having two! Grin

inge69 · 27/07/2012 12:52

thank you feedback, appreicated. Good to know all you lovely people are out there with advice and a shoulder if required!

Itsmylastone, you've succeed so far on the 1st one, so you're one up on us, but as they say it's never the same 2nd time around just more fun with a bit more knowledge thrown in for good measure.

heck, if these are flutters and not wind then it's a active little one I've got. ;o)

off to go pick some strawberries - happy weekend everyone

VodkaJelly · 27/07/2012 13:03

I am due Christmas Day.

DangerMousey · 27/07/2012 15:33

I am due on 1 December, so just sneak into your thread Grin

I am 22 weeks tomorrow with my first child, and am having a little boy. Saw the most amazing pictures at my 20 week scan....those of you who are going in the next week or so, i hope you have a similarly wonderful experience. I cried happy tears when she said it was a boy. Not cos I was fussed either way, but just because it makes it feel very real now!!

Went to Mothercare on the way home and bought a couple of really cute little newborn boy clothes in the sale - sniff!

I am feeling a few kicks during the day now - have been feeling them from about 17 weeks when I wasn't sure what they were. No mistaking that feeling now though!! It's like someone's giving me a gentle tap with a pointed finger - from the inside! I like to imagine him saying "hello mummy! I am here!".

Symptom-wise the biggest ball-ache at the moment is horrible heartburn :( I am chewing on gaviscon tablets after every meal and at bedtime...it's going to get very old very quickly!

ItsMyLastOne · 28/07/2012 09:09

Can I ask, is anyone else having labour dreams yet? I don't remember having them with DD butI've had a few already!

Dinosaurdrip · 28/07/2012 10:22

Itsmy not having labour dreams but certainly some very odd but real dreams. Dreamt last night that I was getting a rollicking from my director and was crying my eyes out then woke up to find myself actually sobbing, Was so strange!have also had scan dreams where I have been told you're having a boy. I think it is a boy anyway but this kind of sealed things. Will be gobsmacked if it turns out to be a girl.

Dangermouse heartburn was my early pregnancy sign and it has just got worse and worse throughout. I'm going through gaviscon like there's no tomorrow. Always have a bottle in my handbag and one on my bedside table.

femmeaufoyer · 28/07/2012 15:23

DC2 due on 22nd December. Had a rough 1st trimester but feeling much better now. I was feeling quite smug as not put on much weight but in the last 2 weeks I have exploded...my belly is huge! I seriously look about 6 months. Lord knows what I'll be like in Nov/Dec. I have my 20 week scan next Friday but we're not finding out the sex this time. I moved to France 12 months ago so have been getting used to the French maternity system, you see an Obstetrician here each month, rather than a midwife. Luckily I've found one who speaks English!
