Hi I'm not actually due until Jan 12 but I'm getting induced 28 Dec, so was wondering if I'm still allowed to join in here??

WeeDot · 29/07/2012 17:13

Dinosaurdrip it's funny you say that as we were adamant we were having a boy, everyone said the same, midwife, family, me and DP dreamt about boys everytime we dreamt of it then we went for our 20 week scan on Thursday and it's a girl!

we were gobsmaacked Grin

Dinosaurdrip · 29/07/2012 19:28

Hmm thats interesting weedot, the thought of having a girl absolutely petrifies me although I truly would be happy either way. My scan is 10th August so still nearly 2 weeks to wait. Congrats to you on the little girl. X

Dinosaurdrip Thank you Grin I think the thought of having a baby is petrifying.....every now and then it dawns on me and I feel a bit light headed

4MrsCoyle5 Why are you being induced so early? Good luck though and yes you are welcome here. Of course Thanks

4MrsCoyle5 · 30/07/2012 16:18

I have prolasped discs in my back and those that "know best" say that I shouldn't carry full term in case I cause more damage. I had SPD last two pregnancies and they weighed 7lb15 and 7lb13 at 38 weeks lol All my babies have been induced at 38 weeks, so a bit a relief actually as was scared of what I should do if I go into labour!! (This is baby number 5)

WeeDot · 30/07/2012 16:24

Ouch, I hope all goes well for you. Baby number 5! Do you know what you are having?

4MrsCoyle5 · 30/07/2012 16:33

Thank you. Don't know just yet, but hopefully baby will be good and show us at next scan...31st August - very impatient right now lol

WeeDot · 30/07/2012 17:03

Ooh good luck.

At 20 week scan our babba had her legs wide open ha, We were umming and ahhing as to whether or not to find out, we decided yes and she was very obliging! Cue endless jokes from DP "just like her mother" etc etc cheeky sod

4MrsCoyle5 · 30/07/2012 17:38

lol typical!! All my boys refused to show and (luckily) our hospital does a growth scan at 24-28 weeks if there is space on their calendar and if you fancy one so we found out at 25wks with all of them, but our girl was just like yours!! Legs splayed to the world, even if they hadn't told us, we could see for ourselves at 21weeks!! I like the idea of waiting until the birth, but I'm way too nosy to wait that long...

WeeDot · 19/08/2012 18:51

Just bumping this up again...seems to have gone quiet Smile

coffeeandcream · 19/08/2012 19:05

Hello ladies, hope we are all well.

I'm 25 weeks now and really starting to show! When LO kicks my tummy moves and DH can see it too which he loves. Also getting a lot of growing pains in my tummy which MW checked out, said all was fine and if anything, it wil only get worse...

I'm not liking the hot weather - making me breathless and uncomfortable, swollen fingers and ankles. Hey ho.

C&C

WeeDot · 19/08/2012 19:26

Hey, I'm 23+2 and you can def see the kicks. Babba is strong! Grin

I've been getting braxton hicks for the last few weeks too, very strange

coffeeandcream · 19/08/2012 19:48

Hi WeeDot,

So how do you know you are having braxton hicks? As opposed to baby just moving about?

I thought these came much later on!

WeeDot · 19/08/2012 20:33

Apparently they can come from about 14 weeks onwards. I went into hospital at 21 weeks wit them convinced I was havin contractions! Mw said to take it easy, but I get them loads, usually they r painless tightenings I can tell the difference between them and baby as she seems to poke out on one side only! Grin
