You'll be fine. Have a nice time.

usualsuspect · 21/06/2012 20:38

You will be fine, I'd stay out of the mosh pit though.

Ambrosius · 21/06/2012 20:41

I went to a rave at about 32 weeks, I was a bit nervous and got some dodgy looks when dp left me with his pint a couple of times but I was fine! enjoy yourself!

Smorgs · 21/06/2012 20:42

I'm 23 weeks and just went to a Guns N Roses concert so I wouldn't worry. I did wear earplugs though....

Of course you should go. I went to see Take That whilst 34 weeks. DH was a bit worried I might come home with more than a programmeGrin.

cinderellabelle · 21/06/2012 20:52

Why not? Are you expecting Jessie J riots or something? Go, enjoy yourself.

Svrider · 21/06/2012 20:57

Op you should go
I agree reference mosh pit though

Mibby · 21/06/2012 20:59

I went to loads of gigs when I was pregnant, youll be fine :) Enjoy!

Florin · 21/06/2012 21:02

I went to a concert when about 34 weeks pregnant-baby seemed to love it and danced his way through it.

AWomanCalledHorse · 21/06/2012 21:04

I went to one (Foo Fighters) at 13ish weeks.
I had a blast but had to leave halfway through (biggest sad face eva) as I was too tired to continue.

Enjoy!!

squidkid · 21/06/2012 21:04

I have tickets for a concert when I'm 39+5!!!

PollyIndia · 21/06/2012 21:28

I was at parklife 2 weeks ago and dancing on the stage to Art Department and Damian Lazarus right by the speakers in a tent of 10,000 people - so you can imagine, pretty big speakers. Baby was quiet, maybe lulled to sleep by the vibrations, but then went mental the next day. Having its own rave I think. I did ask a doctor friend who said it was fine. Baby is so well protected in there.

I'd be more worried about subjecting the baby to JessieJ!

Only joking - I saw her once at glastonbury and actually thought she was really good.

fidelma · 21/06/2012 21:34

The baby may dance alot !

LisasCat · 21/06/2012 21:35

Squidkid is it an artist or band with a name you'll be happy to give your baby if he/she pops out mid-gig!

I went to a gig at 38 weeks, and had to get the HV to write me a note for DP, to convince him that it was fine, and no harm would come to either of us. He still insisted my friends formed a human shield around me, and that I left before the end to avoid the exit crush. But I'm glad I went...it turned out it was the last ever gig the band played and then they announced they were splitting.

Chubfuddler · 21/06/2012 21:36

I went to see take that twice last summer - 32 weeks and 34 weeks. You'll be fine.

squidkid · 21/06/2012 22:13

Heh LisasCat, I'm planning to stay at the back! And it's 10 mins walk from home. I figure if I go into labour before 40 weeks I'll be so happy about that I won't care about the inconvenience!

Springforward · 21/06/2012 22:17

It'll be ok, just stay out of the mosh pit.

Sonics · 22/06/2012 05:47

The amount of pregnant people I saw at Glastonbury last year was mental! Its early days for me yet but we're going to see elbow on sat and have tickets for a festival in July (hope MS isnt bad by then) so you'll be fine. Have a great time Smile

Beans1977 · 22/06/2012 09:39

Yes - go and enjoy! I went to Cast in a tiny venue at 18 weeks (only bad thing was people getting so drunk they were puking in the loos!) and Coldplay at a stadium at 24 weeks - and loved both! At Coldplay the stewards also fast-tracked me to a toilet and let me out of a door rather than a turnstyle so I felt well looked after!

GingerDoodle · 22/06/2012 10:00

I went to see Therapy? at about 13 weeks. Am off to Reading Festival for the day when i'll be 7 odd months and Lady Gaga 3 1/2 weeks before I'm due. My friend helpfully pipped up that if I go into labour early I should not worry baby will be 'born this way' lol

AnathemaDevice · 22/06/2012 13:16

I went to see Frank Turner when I was 20 weeks with DS, and went to Glastonbury at 10 weeks and saw the Manics at 24 weeks with DD. Doesn't seem to have done either of them any har
This time around I'm going to see Suede when I'll be 10 weeks, and Blur when I'll be about 18 weeks or so.

DowagersHump · 22/06/2012 13:23

I went to see the Scissor Sisters when I was about 30 weeks pregnant. People did stare a bit but that may have been at my dancing rather than my pregnancy :o

PixieCake · 22/06/2012 13:38

A little tip from me:

I went to a concert when I was 20-something weeks pregnant - a steward clocked my pregnancy and told me that when I needed the loo (often!) he would unlock the disabled loo for me. So I went to find him every time and it saved me hours of queueing!! So might be worth finding a friendly steward, smiling sweetly and trying your luck!
