I will be pregnant forever

I am now 40+2, and nothing.
I had a mega hot curry, I could barely eat (certainly did not enjoy it!), nothing. I eat shed loads of pineapple, nothing.
I have the odd twinge occasionally but otherwise no sign of any labour coming soon. I am just a big lump waiting for something to happen; in fact, I am starting to doubt that anything will ever happen. I might just be some freak who will be pregnant forever.
I sort of know that 2 days overdue is not that much but still it feels like forever.
Anybody want to play the waiting game with me?

I wish I could just be induced now :( I can't bear being pregnant anymore and he isn't coming on his own. I know its only another week or so but I have felt ill all through being pregnant and I really thought it would be over by now. Sorry to be so ranty, especially when we are all in the same boat!

Lala - I know exactly how you feel.

Rant away lala. I have now become very sweary. Whenever someone texts me they receive a sweary ranty reply!

It really is strange how being overdue makes you depressed. I understand how you guys feel. I feel for you x

I haven't quite worked out what I am supposed to reply to texts asking if the baby is here, I don't want to be too polite because then they just keep texting every day but they are usually from well meaning friends so I don't want to be horrible either! Feeling better today than I did yesterday but just wish something would happen, the longer I am waiting the more nervous I am getting about labour. I see the midwife on Friday but as I don't have much to do during the day the week is really dragging, I think on Friday they will give me a date for induction :(

I had my 40wk appt today but, as I'm only 39+5, they wouldn't do an S&S. Previously, I had been told that I couldn't have one until 40+7 so I wasn't expecting one but the (different) MW today said she could have done one if I'd actually been 40 weeks. Annoyingly, I can't have an appt - and therefore and S&S - in the next week as the MW are on courses/practise meetings on the days that they usually work in our district.
The MW then rang the hospital to book me in for an induction but they no longer take bookings until 40+7. I guess that makes sense but it means I still don't have an end date.
At this point of my appt, I burst into tears. I just want to have a baby. Its not so much that I've had enough of being pregnant but that the baby seems to be healthy now, is term & seems to be a good size so should be absolutely fine in the big wide world. I'm just worrying about something going wrong with the pregnancy and no one noticing until its too late.

Aww its such a pain isn't it murtette, its extra hard because it is so everyday for them but for us it is a really big thing! We don't do this everyday and it is hard to distract ourselves from.it.

I'm hoping I won't be around too much longer though, the reason I am awake at this time of morning is because my waters just broke with a pop waking me up!

Will keep updating as much as I can :) very excited but trying not to get too carried away as I know it could still be a long time before things really get going. At least I know they won't let me go more than 24 hours here once waters have gone, so the end is in sight. I hope some more babies decide to arrive soon too :)

My gorgeous baby boy, cameron was born at 6am today! I was induced at half 2 this morning due to meconium in my waters and he arrived safely just 3.5 hours later!

Congratulations tara brilliant news! Still waiting for this little boy but things are really getting going so hopefully tonight

DS was born this morning just after 3am, so pleased, he is gorgeous, off for some sleep now, will update more later and hope everyone else has their babies asap!

41+6 today argh!

I'm going to have to join in as well! I'm 40+6 and going to the midwife in 15 mins for a scratch and sniff, I mean stretch and sweep.

I'm starting to panic because the babe is enormous (he has his own line on the graph...that's what you get when you marry a man who's 6ft6) and the bigger he gets the more I worry about getting him out. Have done sex and walking and swimming and bouncing and hot currying. I'm off to buy pineapple and diet tonic water. Good luck ladies, I'm sure it'll all be worth it in the end!

41+6 and could it be that things are going to start today? Hurty contractions coming regularly. Come on!

it came out!!!!
drank 1 1/2 bottles of tonic water and had vindaloo for tea on sunday, tuesday long walk with dog and waters broke monday night!

Thankfully no longer pregnant. Baby Cameron (little girl) arrived this afternoon, after a 6 hours labour. Unfortunately needed forceps and now bleeding a fair bit but hopeful that all will resolve soon.
