meetup might be put off till next week because of my smelly bum:(
diddle i have had so many symptoms of labour recently, what with my green snot, contractions, clear out and woke up this morning with a throbbing stinging pain up there(cervix i reckon) but hey ho, am trying not too worry unless i have any concrete evidence. how are your contractions doing now?

mygirl your having alot of visitors recently, bet your crackered.

cori · 19/04/2006 09:58

DOnt worry about putting meetup off. I am not feeling the best today myself also have sore bottom [embarrassed]. I was also planning to drive in but have just heard A40 is a car park so if we can do next week that will be fine. DS has gone to nursery, childminder picking him up today. SO am planning on doing NOTHING for the rest of the day until hospital appointment this afternoon.

petunia · 19/04/2006 10:31

Morning all,
Well another day, another of Petunia's medical problems. Have another slight cold but the worst thing is I've got conjunctivitis as well. Was up several times during the night rinsing my eyes, but my eyelids were glued together this morning! Anyone got any suggestions as to what I can do e.g bathing, Optrex etc.

Hope everyone's well, especially oinker.

slinkstah · 19/04/2006 10:37

petunia i hate conjunctivitis, i have no advice though sorry, i guess get down the doctors if it doesn't go. you don;t want ya eyes glued when baby comes. how many weeks are you now?

OMG..........How beautiful. Smile
It's such a lovely keepsake. Smile

petunia · 19/04/2006 10:45

slink- I'm 38+5 now. Love the scan picture. How do you put those on mumsnet? Just wondering for when new arrival makes an appearance with possibility of getting a picture here.

Will go to the Drs if eyes don't clear up.

slinkstah · 19/04/2006 10:51

you just go to members profiles and start a thread and then click upload a pic and then browse for a pic on your computer and then press go, its quite easy. have a go we all will want to see a pic of your new baby when he/she comes - arghh sorry if you have told us already the sex i am forgetful.

oinker how you doing today? no more bleeding i hope, and have you still got your symptoms? still have everything crossed that baby is ok.

twocatsonthebed · 19/04/2006 10:56

that's great slink - really amazing!

dhw - glad that you got what you needed in the end, hope the appointment goes well.

and hope all of the many and varied medical complaints are feeling better.

I've also got my booking in appointment today, but am not worried, mainly because I don't think I'll believe I'm preg until at least the nuchal fold scan, if not a long time after that, so it all seems a bit irrelevant. Although I would like to know why I am gulping down liquids like a woman with a profound hangover

Wills · 19/04/2006 11:03

V. Sad. Took dd2 to her first playgroup session this morning. She was so happy there that the told me to go. When I said goodbye she burst into tears so I shot out and then burst into tears myself. Am now sitting here watching the clock desperate to get back to her.

Clear out? Would that explain what's happening below? Never been so regular!

Oinker - Wanted to tell you about my cousin. She spent 8 years trying and lost 7 babies (1 set of twins). They tested and tested and FINALLY found what was wrong. It appears she's allergic to her husband Grin. She went through a series of injections to desensitise her that she had to pay for and they basically told her she could be desensitised for life but they could only guarantee 3 months. She fell pregnant only to loose that one because her dh contracted Rubella. She then went on to fall again. I am now the very proud godmother to Emily (almost 3) and William (almost 1). Please don't give up hope and despair honey it could have a happy ending. {{{{{{{{{{{Hugs}}}}}}}}}}}}

mygirllolipop · 19/04/2006 11:15

amazing story wills. oinker hope you are ok?

petunia · 19/04/2006 11:16

Thanks slink. I shall have to give it a go when the time comes. (BTW No, don't know the sex)

Wills- I did that when DD1 started school. I think it's harder on the parents than it is for the children when they start playgroup/school!

Arabica · 19/04/2006 11:20

Wow, Slink, that's a really clear pic. Do you think he takes after you or your partner in looks?

oinker · 19/04/2006 11:21

Thanks guys........

Just had a good cry at your story Wills. I wish there were more of these good outcomes on mn. I have searched and asked for others in the same situation as me but no-one ever comes forward. I was starting to beleive that it was only me that this was happening to.Sad Thanks. I am not giving I hope until they tell me to.

I still have had no more d/c. Symptoms are still there. I really don't want to build my hopes up though. I can only wait and here what they have to say next week.

Thanks. x

wools · 19/04/2006 11:36

Hi everyone, have just caught up with everybody's news. Oinker, I hope the fact that you've stopped bleeding and still have your symptoms is a good sign. I hope the wait until next week isn't too long.

Good luck twocats at your booking in appointment.

mygirllolipop · 19/04/2006 11:36

oinker - good to hear from you. feel free to email me.

SnowBoo · 19/04/2006 13:18

Gosh, by the time i've caught up its time to go! LOL.

Oinker, keeping everything crossed for you and hope you get good news soon.

desperatehousewife · 19/04/2006 16:45

two cats - how did booking in go?

I had mine - and a scan - all ok. Cannot believe it! Was in absolute turmoil beforehand. Also was scanned in same room I was given my bad news in November...not good memories.

Thanks for support
x

twocatsonthebed · 19/04/2006 16:56

hello!

dhw - poor you, being in exactly the same room, but great news at least that it's all OK. Are you going to get looked after quite regularly now?

Mine was lovely - really nice midwives at our local community hospital - they even made me a cup of tea! And as an added bonus, she even managed to find the heartbeat with a doppler, which was fantastic as it's a month since i had a scan. Now the next hurdle is the nuchal fold scan...

How's everyone else?

desperatehousewife · 19/04/2006 16:58

I got a mug of tea too! Lovely midwife too. So good to have someone that understands and is caring.

Hoping my nuchal can be squeezed in before I go on holiday in 2.5 weeks time....yikes.

twocatsonthebed · 19/04/2006 17:15

Must be a particular relief to you to find someone who understands - hope it wasn't too awful having to tell her the whole story.

So do you get your nuchal on the NHS? And a holiday, now that sounds like fun Envy - where are you going?!

HellKat · 19/04/2006 17:16

Slink- Posted on your other thread but will say it again here, what a little cutie!!!!!!!!!! Gorgeous, gorgeous pic.
Oinker- Hunny it's great that your symptoms are still there and it's all eased off. My symptoms actually went this time around and my boobs & belly started to shrink. Don't give up total hope and be prepared for anything, good or bad. Here's hoping the wait will pass quickly. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

desperatehousewife · 19/04/2006 17:17

twocats - yes nuchal on the nhs - but have to come up to Kings for it. Off to Greece....roll on 2 weeks time!!

slinkstah · 19/04/2006 18:00

thanks hk, looks like he takes after his dad with the big nose and lips lol
glad your booking went well twocats

dhw- glad your booking went well too, it must have been difficult for you to be in the same place as before. im lucky as i live in london so went to a different hospital this time round, i wouldn't have liked to have gone back. you are really brave.

cori · 19/04/2006 18:44

I remember going into the same room as where I was told the news during one of my many scans this pregnancy. That wasn't as bad as when I had the same sonographer though.

Anyway back from clinic. Seems baby is not engaged at all. Am worried that I am heading for another section. I cant possibly be more active than I have been, (think is why I am so tired today). Have acupuncture booked for next Wednesday, so hopefully that may start things off.
